The sky was chaos. Lasers rained down with frightening precision, one bolt grazed the right rear of the vehicle, exploding in a flash of smoke and sparks. The armored jeep shook violently, tires screeching as Julian fought for control.

"I sll enemies," Zoe muttered quietly, her beast eyes narrowing.

Julian glanced at the dark shape floating leisurely above them, the Sky Whale. Its massive eye slowly turned, unblinking, staring directly at their camouflaged vehicle.

"It knows," Julian said. "It’s not just guessing anymore. It’s trying to erase us."

"We’re still moving forward?" Dori asked, voice strained. "If we keep going... what if we can’t retreat?"

"I have a plan," Julian answered flatly, just before another blast rocked their side panel.

Fey gritted her teeth. "I... I can’t keep [Liquid] active much longer—!"

"Hang on!" Cindy and Rea shouted. "You got this, girl! Just a bit more!"

"Shut up, you two," Fey hissed, her arms trembling from the strain.

"I’m slipping too," Dori added, her voice tight, her concealnt field flickering faintly.

Julian nodded, sweat beading down his temple. "Hold on... just a little longer."

BOOM!

Another laser blast struck just behind them, barely missing. The heat and shockwave sent the vehicle into a wild swerve. Julian cursed, hands yanking the wheel with all his strength.

The closer they got, the more precise the attacks beca. The Whale was adjusting.

Then it happened, swarms of winged monsters dove from above, screeching as they closed in fast. Their twisted, birdlike forms made of bone and rotting flesh confird Julian’s worst suspicion.

"They can all detect us," he growled.

Julian jerked the wheel again, swerving to dodge incoming monsters, then slamd the brakes.

"Sebas, take the wheel."

"What?!"

"I’m going up. I’ll hold them off," Julian said, unbuckling his harness.

"You want to drive while you’re fighting off laser barrages and airborne zombies?!"

"Yes," Julian said coldly. "Drive until we’re near the whale. Don’t stop."

Sebas with a panicked mind but trying to stay composed, he said calmly, "Fine! But if we crash, it’s on you."

Julian smirked as he opened the hatch. "If we crash, I’ll be the one cushioning the fall."

And with that, he leapt out, into the skyfire above.

Julian soared upward, suspended in the air by his own gravity manipulation. The sky above was a battlefield painted in madness. And before him... lood a nightmare given form.

The Sky Whale.

Massive. Ancient. Writhing with an unnatural grace as it floated overhead, its sheer size dwarfed even the tallest buildings of the old world. Its eye pulsed like a dying star, locked onto Julian with divine contempt.

"Hello, you bloated bastard," Julian muttered coldly.

A shriek tore the air—then BOOM!—another laser blazed toward him. In a flash, Julian summoned a barrier of shadows, wrapping it around himself like a coiling cloak. The laser struck, flaring like a sun, but the barrier held, cracking slightly from the pressure.

Electricity burst from Julian’s palms, raw and deadly. The shrieking bird-like monstrosities circling him were cut down instantly in flashes of white lightning, their charred bodies plumting like flaming teors.

He turned back toward the vehicle below.

"Zoe!" Julian shouted over the wind. "Can you control them?!"

Zoe’s voice echoed faintly in his ear, calm yet regretful. "...I’m sorry. I can’t. Sothing stronger is overriding their minds."

"Tch," Julian cursed. "Alright. Plan C is a bust. Looks like our big friend is keeping them on a tight leash."

Julian’s eyes flashed with focus. If Zoe couldn’t control them... he’d dominate them himself.

His aura surged.

[Domination] activated.

Julian extended his power like a net, and the remaining airborne beasts shrieked mid-flight, faltering in the air as his will crashed into theirs. One by one, their chaotic formation broke, their minds bending beneath him.

But in that sa instant... the whale reacted.

The sky began to glow.

From its enormous maw, light gathered, blinding, searing, apocalyptic.

Julian’s expression hardened.

"It’s charging sothing big—!"

A thunderous hum tore through the heavens as the Sky Whale unleashed the deathbeam. An enormous pillar of light carved through the clouds, vaporizing everything in its path.

Julian roared, "Brace yourselves!"

He pushed both hands forward, summoning a shadow-barrier to shield the vehicle as it roared ahead, while simultaneously amplifying [Gravity Manipulation] to reduce the vehicle’s weight, lifting it just above the blast radius.

The beam missed by re ters, scorching earth and turning it to glass.

Inside the vehicle, chaos erupted.

"Holy hell—!!" Rea scread, clutching the seat. "That laser’s not a joke! It almost fried us!"

"Keep it together!" Dori shouted, trying to maintain concealnt.

Outside, Julian grunted as his barrier cracked further.

The whale kept firing.

Julian clenched his fist, he had to hold long enough. And then—

He saw it.

A massive tide of creatures surging across the earth below. Hulking beasts. Packs of fanged hybrids. Clawed, deford wolves. An army of living nightmares, sweeping toward their direction.

Julian clicked his comm. "Sebas."

"Yes?"

"When I give the signal... slam the brakes. I’ll create our entry point."

Sebas narrowed his eyes from the driver’s seat, nodding. "Understood."

Julian turned back toward the whale and narrowed his gaze.

"Ti to break this stalemate."

The wheels screeched as Sebas slamd the gas pedal to the floor, and the vehicle surged forward like a missile, racing toward the oncoming horde of monstrous beasts.

"Hey, are you trying to kill us?!" Cindy shrieked, gripping the seat in panic.

"Oi! Hit the damn brakes, you four-eyed maniac!" Rea shouted, eyes wide.

But Sebas stayed focused, hands steady. His mind was already ahead, waiting for the signal.

Julian stood tall in the open back of the vehicle, wind whipping through his hair as his eyes locked on the beastly swarm ahead.

"Now!" he commanded.

Sebas hit the brakes hard.

The tires shrieked.

The world lurched.

And the monsters surged in.

"Zoe—now!"

Without hesitation, Zoe leapt out. Her body shimred with unnatural energy, shifting, expanding, her limbs cracking and stretching into the form of a massive, sleek black wolf. Her fur rippled with raw power, her eyes burning with silent resolve.

"Everyone, out, get on Zoe!" Julian ordered.

One by one, the team leapt out of the vehicle, Rea, Cindy, Rogan, Dori, Fey, Sebas, all scrambling onto Zoe’s enormous back. Julian climbed last, crouching near her shoulders like a commander mounting his warbeast.

"Dori, conceal us."

Dori nodded, and her power flared silently.

The world dimd.

A veil fell over them like mist, soft, undetectable. Their presence lted from the senses of the monsters below.

"Zoe, jump. Take us above them."

With a mighty howl, Zoe sprinted and then launched herself into the air, clearing the beasts with a massive, elegant leap. The air rushed past them. Below, the monsters flailed and snarled, completely unaware.

Then—

Julian’s hand slid into his pocket.

He pressed a button.

BOOM!

The vehicle they’d left behind exploded in a furious blast. The fireball lit the morning sky as debris rained over the stunned horde, sending the monsters into a confused frenzy.

"Nice fireworks, huh?" Rogan grinned over Zoe’s back. "Not bad, man."

Julian smirked, eyes still focused forward. "That was just a distraction."

Far in the distance, the colossal shadow of the Sky Whale still lood. Its slow, graceful movent betrayed the horror it carried.

"We... we made it," Cindy whispered, her voice trembling as her eyes scanned the chaos they’d just escaped.

Fey exhaled shakily beside her. "I really thought that was the end..."

Then Dori suddenly wrapped her arms around Cindy, her voice cracking as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Huaaa... that was so scary...!"

Cindy, overwheld by the release of tension, broke into tears as well. "Huaa... I know...!"

"Hey! Not so loud!" Rea hissed, glaring at them. "You want the damn whale to hear us crying like babies?"

Sebas crouched low, eyes sharp as he studied their surroundings. His expression grew grim. "So this is what’s left after the whale and its army pass through..."

Julian walked forward, surveying the land around them. The devastation was staggering, ruined shelters, shattered roads, piles of burnt corpses. Nothing had been spared.

"It’s like a nightmare," Rogan muttered, squinting at a blackened tree where shredded clothes still fluttered in the breeze.

Above them, the monstrous Sky Whale floated slowly through the clouds like an ancient god. Its shadow crawled across the earth, cold and imnse.

"It’s moving toward sothing," Julian murmured.

Then Rogan said with a wild grin, "Truly a creature worthy of the hunt."

Fey, standing nearby, muttered anxiously, "Please... let’s not make it look at us again..."

Rea tilted his head up, swallowing hard. "From down here... we look like ants to that thing."

Julian turned to the group. "We’ll rest here for now. Stay sharp. I want everyone analyzing everything, tracks, air pressure, magical interference, anything."

Fey looked up, concern flickering across her face. "Are you sure it’s safe to stop right beneath it?"

Julian nodded calmly. "As long as we don’t use any zombie-powered energy... we’re invisible to it."

The team exchanged quiet nods.
