Reaching the room where the eggs were placed, Eva’s grip tightened on Ethan’s furs. An excited smile spread widely across her lips.
Ethan patted her with his paws to get down, but she hugged him tightly, her face rubbing against his silk fur as Julian opened the door.
Cracks ford on the eggs as they watched in anticipation. Minutes passed, and Eva’s smile slowly faded.
With a blank expression, she moved towards the beast coming out from the egg.
She dropped Ethan and shoved the beast back into the egg as if trying to return it to its origin.
’’Eva dear, it’s too late.’’ Julian’s tone was filled with pity and schadenfreude at her beast’s huge hairless form.
He turned to his beasts—a huge bronze-scaled cobra with an hourglass mark on its hood.
He could feel the connection bonding them together and stretched his hand towards the snake, and the snake brought its head forward, rubbing his cold scale across Julian’s hands, a compliant hiss left its mouth.
While Eva was distracted, Ethan shifted into his human form, grabbed spare pants from his space ring, and turned to his beast—now standing as tall as him.
He could visibly notice the cold air leaving the huge white wolf with blue, crystalline, sparse fur.
The room grew cold and cramped with their massive forms.
The wolf moved closer to Ethan, sniffing him before setting at his feet. It howled, and a glimpse of its sharp fangs shone dangerously in the room.
’It can’t be, no! I refuse to believe it.’ Eva was having a ntal breakdown at the sight of her ugly beast.
She shook her hair furiously in denial as she pushed the whining beasts back into the egg. Due to the force, the egg cracked into pieces, and the figure of the beasts was shown fully.
Its skin resembled plucked chicken, six tails waved at this back, and it stared at Eva with aggrieved cold feline eyes.
Eva slumped weakly on her knees, ’’This can’t be happening to . Whoo hoo, why do I have an ugly beast? Why!’’ she shouted out in anger and shock, almost regretting she didn’t eat the egg before it hatched.
A high-pitched whimper left the fox’s mouth at Eva’s words, it moved its tails and wrapped them softly around Eva’s hands.
Eva forced a smile, but it was worse than crying. Feeling the beast’s sadness, she reached out to pet it—only for her fingers to touch its pink flesh.
She burst into tears, a storm forming above her as rain poured, adding salt to her wound..·´¯`(>▂
