"Were you able to see their faces?" Dean instantly knew who she ant, and the image of slit throats made him go pale.

Grace didn’t rush him, she waited patiently for him to gather himself though her fist clenched with suppressed rage.

"No. Their faces were hidden under their hoods." Dean responded in a shaky voice, still affected by his colleague’s deaths.

Grace released a tense breath, her heart cooling with disappointnt. She had no doubt the noble clans were behind it.

"May their souls dwell in peace," Grace murmured, the words genuine—but sympathy would have to wait. The city was littered with bodies, and soone had to take control.

"Dispatch three-speed users to inform all lower administrators. The corpses must be cleared from the city imdiately," Grace said as she reached for fur parchnts and her personal seal.

Hopefully, soone in the other cities had taken command and mirrored her actions—if not, the chaos would only deepen.

Dean straightened up, his expression turning serious at her orders; with a nod, he took the stamped parchnt furs from her hands and left in hurried steps.

Grace rubbed her forehead, exhaustion pressing down on her but she had no ti to rest.

Her mind flashed to her husband and son, and she was reassured they could protect themselves from this chaos.

Tying her hair up she walked back into the lab.

Stone looked up, relaxed at the sight of Grace; glancing behind, he found no sight of Dean.

"Tell , how far along are you in the suits project? When is it going to be completed?" Grace asked, her gaze falling on the synthetic material of the suits spread across the table.

"It’ll take two weeks—no faster than that," Stone responded, he inserted a purifier into the collar, sealing it after pouring in a liquid.

Grace frowned but accepted his words, not attempting to rush him, knowing these suits involved the lives of others.

Then she rembered those hatched beasts. "Give your nephew’s address; I need them to co to the guild."

Stone looked up from his work, frowning. He didn’t like the idea of his nephews risking the dangers outside—but rembering their strength, he gave the address.

Grace wrote it down, writing a letter of invitation and pressing her seal on the bottom.

With that, she left the room, headed downstairs, and handed it over to a female speed user.

"Tell them to co as soon as they receive this letter. Be careful out there," Grace said.

The woman nodded and left the guild with an address in hand.

.....

anwhile, the three-speed users who were sent to pass Madam Grace’s letters were caught in a dangerous situation.

Weapons were aid at them from every side; one of them tried to run, but unfortunately, their attackers had a speed user on their side.

Before he could sprint out, a blur struck him from the side, slamming him into the wall.

A sickening crack dissuaded the other two speed users from their thoughts on escaping; they weren’t sure how many speed users were on the attacker’s side.

"We are from the Administrator’s head. Madam Grace, how dare you attack us!" One of them threw out Grace’s na, hoping to scare this person, but he didn’t know he made a huge mistake.

The leader’s expression changed instantly, he was stunned by the fact that Madam Grace was still alive.

He was sent here by his boss to force the lower administrator to join them and kill the ones who refuse to yield.

They were almost done taking care of this area when so speed users barged in.

"Is Madam Grace alive?" He asked, his expression serious and doubtful.

"Release us, don’t stop us from carrying out Madam Grace’s orders." The man’s voice grew confident when he saw the man’s reaction and assud he was afraid.

But the man’s next words froze the two people in place.

"Tie them up, we are leaving with them." Leader instructed, his expression ugly and his heart beating loudly in fear at the thought of madam being alive.

’I have to inform my boss. That woman is alive.’ His mind raced as he left the room in hurried steps and entered the bus.

"Step on it!" He called out to the driver in an urgent tone as soon as he jamd the door closed.

The driver started the car and sped off, blowing past the speed limit.

.....

"Hhh...no more...I can’t feel my legs." Eva panted as she lay on the floor; her body trembled slightly as sweat stread down her body, soaking the floor.

Julian sipped his ice juice as he sprawled lazily against the rocking chair.

His gaze drifted from Eva to Ethan, who stood sternly in workout pants. Julian shook his head. It was impossible to help her.

Eva was too numb and tired to absorb the energy to heal herself. She wondered how her cold but caring husband suddenly changed face when he started training her.

"Alright, you can rest for twenty minutes and will get back to your core and leg training." Ethan’s heart ached at Eva’s trembling body but stilled his heart.

She had the basics, but they’d dulled over ti so he had to be strict with her—the dungeon wasn’t child’s play, and humans were dangerous as well.

Eva groaned in frustration but didn’t complain, knowing he was doing it for her good.

"Add another ten minutes." Eva negotiated, feeling twenty minutes was too small. She tried blinking seductively—then rembered her last failed attempt and flushed.

And her face flushed in embarrassnt, and she instantly stopped her blinking motion.

Julian noticed and let out a short laugh, but quickly covered it up with a sip of his drink.

"No. Twenty minutes." Ethan’s voice was firm, though he could look her crying expression in the eye, or he would change his mind.

( ꈨຶ ˙̫̮ ꈨຶ ) Eva could only shed a few tears, too exhausted to even cry or talk—she had used her last strength to extend her resting ti, but alas...

She shot Julian an envious glance, wishing to be in his place. She closed her eyes—she couldn’t bear the sight of Julian so relaxed

As Eva rested, Ethan stretched his muscles ripping through his sleeve; a gentle click rang from his neck.

Cold crept into the room as an ice javelin took shape in his hands, growing denser with every heartbeat.

With a graceful flick of his wrist, he swung the weapon—each motion steeped in killing intent, the force slicing through the air.

Eva noticed the room’s sudden change and opened her eyes; her gaze darted to the source to see Ethan’s skilful, swift strikes.

She beca engrossed—her gaze locked in awe, glimring brighter with each strike.

Julian glanced at Ethan’s actions with a bored expression, too familiar with his exercise.

And Ethan was rely showing the toned version of his exercise or the room would have been destroyed by now.

Julian’s gaze fell on Eva, and he instantly knew the reason for Ethan holding himself back. Assured Ethan wouldn’t go overboard, Julian shut his eyes to nap when a knock ca in.

"Co in," Julian called out, and Blaine walked in, handing Julian a letter.

"Master, soone from the scientist guild is waiting at the door," Blaine said as Julian rolled the fur parchnt open.

His lazy expression shifted as he saw the seal, but reading the content, he sat up straighter, his expression ugly and filled with disbelief.

"Ethan, you need to see this," Julian called out in a rear serious tone, and Ethan’s exercise ca to an abrupt end.
