Wait a minute, weren't these the cultists who were brainwashing Carrie in her dream?
A thought sparked in Roy's mind. He figured he might be able to find the still-missing Carrie through these people, so he equipped the Ghostface mask in his inventory.
After these cultists ca ashore, they were carrying a blonde woman and had all sorts of random stuff in their hands.
"Hans, is it safe?"
"Of course! I already saw that guy leave on a speedboat!"
"Excellent, then let's start the ritual!"
As they spoke, several cultists began drawing a magic circle on the ground. The material they were using was so kind of blood, most likely human blood.
Seeing the blonde woman, Roy was already certain that the golden goat he had seen in his dream at ho last ti was definitely a distorted human. Such brutal cultists wouldn't use any other material to draw.
The magic circle was quickly drawn, and then the cultists placed incense-like objects around it.
After that, two people were left standing at a distance to watch, while the rest sat cross-legged around the magic circle, seemingly about to enter a dream state.
Roy thought for a mont and figured he might be able to enter Carrie's dream through the dreams of these cultists.
So, Roy also sat cross-legged in the bushes and began to drift off to sleep.
These cultists needed to set up a formation and use incense to enter soone else's dream, but Roy didn't need any of that. He directly invaded the cultists' dreams using his Nightmare ability.
The environnt was exactly the sa as in reality, except the sky and the full moon were blood-red. Otherwise, there was almost no difference.
"Bishop, Carrie seems to be resisting a lot lately."
"I think soone must have done sothing to her, maybe that bitch did it."
The man called Bishop was quite angry. He was almost done brainwashing Carrie, and then he would be able to completely control a powerful child of a demon.
But recently, for so reason, Carrie had suddenly beco very resistant to dreams, making the recent brainwashing rituals very troubleso every ti.
"So, what should we do?"
The Bishop pondered for a mont.
"We have to speed things up! Carrie has already arrived at the sect. If we can't control her soon, she might be controlled by that woman! We have no other choice now!"
Judging by this, it seed like Carrie had fallen into the hands of the Samael cult.
However, this Samael cult also seed to have multiple factions. This Bishop was one faction, and the bitch he ntioned seed to be another faction.
And Carrie seed to be in the hands of the bitch the Bishop ntioned.
This wasn't too surprising. It had been said before that Samael and Mammon had been the most active in causing trouble on Earth in recent years, so the cults of these two demon lords were also the largest.
Once an organization gets to a certain size, it's very normal for factions to appear. Roy was more interested in knowing where Carrie was now, and if she was near Crystal Lake.
A dozen or so cultists began chanting so kind of incantation, and soon Carrie appeared in the dream.
Carrie looked around at her surroundings in a daze, and then she held her head and started screaming.
"Why is it always you guys! Let go!"
The Bishop took out a strange snake-shaped dagger and walked towards Carrie.
"Carrie, you should accept your fate! Resistance is futile!"
Carrie backed away step by step, her face filled with fear. From this appearance, it wasn't hard to tell that she had definitely resisted the Bishop but failed.
It's not that being very powerful in reality ans you can exert the sa strength in a dream.
How much strength you can exert in a dream depends on your understanding of the dream and your personal willpower.
Carrie's will was usually quite weak, and she herself knew very little about dreams, so she had been controlled by these cultists for a long ti.
Even after receiving Roy's reminder and having so awareness, Carrie, having beco wary in the dream, would still be forcibly subjected to rituals by these people.
However, after resisting, the effect of the ritual had beco much worse, which was why the Bishop and his subordinates had beco anxious.
"Don't co any closer! I don't want to accept this fate! I want Madison, Zoe, Maria, Emma, and Roy! Please let go! I want to go ho!"
Carrie knelt on the ground, crying her heart out. Originally, she had lost all hope in life, which was why she had been living like a walking corpse every day.
But that day when she was in detention, Carrie had experienced the joy of friendship again after a long ti. The Apocalypse Society was like the sun, illuminating her life and making her feel the beauty of life again.
So, when facing the invincible Ophelia, Carrie had chosen to stand up and buy ti for the others. She really considered the other little witches in the Apocalypse Society as her friends.
Unfortunately, these cultists who believed in the King of Wrath were all heartless people. They wouldn't have any sympathy for the suffering Carrie.
"It's useless, Carrie! The only thing you can do is accept your fate. Maybe that will make you feel better! Hahaha..."
The Bishop quickly approached Carrie, raising the snake-shaped dagger in his hand, seemingly about to stab it into her body.
Just at that mont, the Bishop suddenly felt the dream shake inexplicably. He turned his head and saw a huge figure appearing on the island.
The snake-shaped dagger in the Bishop's hand imdiately fell to the ground, because the figure in the distance was none other than the King of Wrath he believed in.
(Rough image of Samael, the King of Wrath)
Samael was originally an angel of wrath from Heaven, a general under Lucifer, the second-in-command of Heaven, commanding a powerful legion of angels specializing in cruel destruction missions.
It was during the execution of these missions that Samael beca increasingly cold-blooded, eventually losing all reverence for life and arbitrarily taking away all the lives he saw.
God discovered this and ordered Lucifer to bring Samael back to Heaven for judgnt.
During the trial, Samael showed no signs of remorse, so God ordered his four pairs of angel wings to be cut off, leaving only one pair, and cast him into Hell.
The blood flowing from the angel wings stained Samael's body and his remaining pair of wings red, so Samael was also known as the Blood-Winged Angel.
However, Lucifer was good friends with Samael, so he pleaded with God.
So God promised that as long as Samael could repent for his sins, he would allow Samael to return to Heaven.
Unfortunately, Samael never repented in Hell. He was just that stubborn, otherwise why would Roy call him a combination of "no brains" and "unhappy"?
Later, after a great upheaval occurred in Hell, Samael was corrupted by the power of Hell and completely fell into darkness, never able to return to Heaven again.
But it didn't matter; Samael's good friend Lucifer soon fell into Hell as well to keep him company.
Now, standing before the cultists was the image of Samael after being corrupted by the power of Hell.
His original body, which was similar to a human's, had beco hunched and twisted. The pair of blood-red wings on his back had lost their feathers, leaving only the bones.
His face was pale and covered in wrinkles, and two curved, sharp horns had even grown out of the sides of his eyes, making him look extrely bizarre.
Below his neck were four human heads with angry expressions, and all of these heads were missing their eyes.
Overall, he looked like a monster that could only be seen in nightmares.
Actually, the ex-husband should have been quite handso originally. After all, Lilith was also attracted to good looks. If he wasn't handso, she might not have submitted to Samael.
But now that Samael's image had beco like this, it was no wonder that Lilith had no feelings left for the King of Wrath.
Even though Samael, having beco the King of Wrath, should have beco even more powerful.
The dozen or so cultists were so scared that they imdiately prostrated themselves on the ground, all of them shaking like leaves.
Although these people believed in the King of Wrath, there probably weren't many true fanatics among them. Most of them were just trying to gain the power of demons.
The current situation was quite ironic, like soone who loves to talk about dragons but is terrified when they actually see one. They kept chanting Samael's titles, but the real Samael appearing could scare them to death.
Finally, the Bishop spoke in a trembling voice.
"Oh, great King of Wrath, the greatest lord in Hell! I wonder why you have descended into the dream of your humble servant?"
"Because I need a few loyal servants to serve in Hell. Who among you is willing to offer your soul and co with to Hell?"
As soon as the cultists heard this, they imdiately panicked.
Unless their lives were miserable, who would want to go to a desolate place like Hell?
Wasn't it good enough to live a life of luxury on Earth thanks to their identity as cultists?
So, several people started trying to pass the buck.
This one said that one was the most loyal, that one said this one was a saint. No one wanted to be taken to Hell by Samael, including the Bishop.
"Enough! I'm not in the mood to listen to your nonsense! I only need five souls, do you understand what I an?"
The Bishop instantly understood what Samael ant. How else could he have beco a Bishop? This ability to understand his superior's intentions wasn't sothing everyone could learn.
The Bishop suddenly grabbed the snake-shaped dagger and stabbed it into the chest of a cultist next to him. The other person didn't even react before spitting out blood and losing consciousness.
In a normal dream, being killed would at most wake you up, but this dream was special. It was sowhere between dream and reality. People who died here would really die.
So, the golden goat or blonde woman that Roy had seen being killed earlier had really been sacrificed by these cultists.
"Great King of Wrath, I sincerely offer you the soul of a loyal believer!"
When the other cultists saw the Bishop's actions, they all started copying him, taking out daggers and stabbing the people next to them.
Unfortunately, the Bishop's successful sneak attack put the other cultists on guard. As a result, instead of just four more people dying, after a round of fighting, only three people were left, including the Bishop.
There were originally 13 cultists here to complete the brainwashing ritual, aning 10 people had died in the fighting just now. That was a doubling of the kill count right there.
"Hahaha... Very good! But you all have to die!"
Saying this, the huge King of Wrath suddenly reached out with his fist and slamd it down on the cultists on the ground. Two cultists were instantly smashed into at patties. Only the Bishop reacted very quickly, rolling and crawling away to avoid the attack.
"No! You're not the King of Wrath! You're an imposter!"
The Bishop was trembling with anger. He had realized that he had been tricked.
You couldn't really bla the Bishop for not noticing at first. After all, who would have thought that soone would enter another person's dream and impersonate a great demon lord?
That possibility seed even lower than the demon lord actually descending into his dream, right?
"Bingo! Too bad there's no prize!"
Roy swung his fist again at the Bishop, but the Bishop had already directly left the dream and returned to reality.
"He actually got away!"
Failing to take down the Bishop in one go made Roy, who had returned to his human form, a little annoyed. But the more important thing now was to ask Carrie where she was, because the dream seed to be becoming unstable.
Roy didn't want to suffer a ntal breakdown like last ti.
"Carrie, where are you right now? and the others are really worried about you!"
Carrie was still looking at Roy blankly, seemingly unable to believe what she was seeing.
"Are you really Roy?"
"Of course, I'm Roy! Don't you rember? I warned you in the dream last ti not to dream so easily!"
This made Carrie sure that the Roy in front of her was real and not soone else pretending.
"I... I don't know where I am! That day, I was chased all the way into the forest by FEA helicopters. A witch nad Wendy saved . But I was too badly injured and quickly passed out. When I woke up, I found myself in a city full of fog, with ashes floating everywhere."
Wait, a city full of fog with ashes floating everywhere?
Why did that place sound so familiar?
Roy was just about to continue asking Carrie for more details when he noticed that the dream had already begun to collapse. There wasn't enough ti to ask more questions.
"Carrie, does the place you're in turn completely dark every so often, and then a lot of monsters appear?"
Carrie looked at Roy in surprise.
"How did you know?"
"Don't worry about the details! Carrie, I've got a pretty good idea where you are. You have to hang in there and wait for to co and save you! Rember, it's best not to dream lately!"
Roy didn't know if the Bishop had any other tricks up his sleeve. It would be best if Carrie didn't dream.
Carrie nodded repeatedly, hope shining in her eyes.
At this point, the collapse had beco very severe. Roy quickly opened a door and pushed Carrie through it first, letting her leave the dream.
"Carrie, rember what I said!"
"I... I will!"
Finally, he opened another door and successfully escaped the collapsing dream, returning to reality through his own dream.
Although a long ti had passed in the dream, only a short while had actually passed in reality.
The two cultists who were watching from a distance suddenly noticed that the cultists who had entered the dream were all slumped on the ground. This had never happened before.
But the two didn't dare to approach the magic circle, afraid of being forcibly dragged into the dream, as that would be very dangerous.
It wasn't until the Bishop opened his eyes and spat out a mouthful of blood, indicating that the magic had been dispelled, that the two dared to approach the magic circle.
"Bishop, what happened?"
The Bishop had forcibly dispelled the magic on his own and had already suffered a significant backlash. He wasn't in the mood to explain and just wanted to get out of there quickly.
"Quick, quick, take away from this island!"
