Hughie wrapped his own coat around Annie. His eyes were red with fury, and he kept trying to charge at Kalpa, but Butcher held him back with one arm.

"Sorry, sorry," Kalpa said with a lazy drawl, showing no regard for Hughie's anger. "I didn't know she was your woman, so I did a few things… Ha. I'm done with her now. You can have her back."

Queen Maeve instantly appeared in front of Kalpa and sent him flying into a wall with a single punch. She followed up with a stomp, caving in his abdon, then turned to Butcher. "I see no reason to cooperate with this piece of trash."

Kalpa clasped his hands together. Behind him, the spectral image of a great sun slowly began to appear. He frowned, and began to chant the na of a certain being.

"O One Born of the Final Day, Dominator of the ntal Dinsion, the King whom I obey… your humble servant, Kalpa, prays for the descent of the Final Day…"
