He leaped down into the ruined basent, searching for any trace of Muzan. Elizabeth also averted her eyes and jumped down into the crater, activating so kind of optical device to search. All she found was a pile of shredded flesh.
Finally, beneath that pile, they found a long, thin tunnel, like a rat hole. It seed that so extrely small part of him had dug a hole and escaped.
