As soon as the Carapace Demon froze, distracted by the false threat aid at the great tree, Nephis moved.

There was no hesitation in her steps.

No fear.

No doubt.

She lunged forward like a silver cot cutting through the pale light of dawn, her white armor flashing brilliantly beneath the rising sun. Sand exploded beneath her feet as she accelerated toward the wounded giant without leaving herself even the slightest room for retreat.

But this ti, she was not alone.

A streak of crimson flas suddenly erupted from the side.

Senrix dashed forward beside her.

Unlike Nephis's graceful movents, his were violent and overwhelming. Crimson fire wrapped around his body like a living beast, dancing wildly across his arms and shoulders. Every step scorched the ashen ground black.

The two flas contrasted sharply.

White and crimson.

Calm and wrathful.

One looked holy.

The other looked born for slaughter.

Behind them, standing several ters away from the battlefield, Elysia slowly drew another arrow from her quiver.

Her long pink hair danced gently in the cold wind while her expression remained frighteningly calm despite the towering nightmare creature before them. Unlike Nephis and Senrix, she possessed no terrifying supernatural power.

No divine flas.

No monstrous strength.

Just her bow.

And yet, at this mont, Sunny sohow felt safer hearing the faint sound of her bowstring tightening than he did standing beside two fla-wielding monsters.

The Carapace Demon reacted almost instantly.

Its remaining scarlet eye burned with murderous fury as the giant scythe swept toward Nephis with horrifying speed.

But before the attack could fully descend—

TWANG!

Elysia released her arrow.

The shot crossed the battlefield in a silver blur and struck directly against one of the cracks already spread across the demon's damaged arm.

CLANG!

The impact did not injure the giant.

But it disrupted the movent of the scythe just enough.

Just enough for Senrix to intercept it.

BOOM!

Crimson flas exploded outward as Senrix slamd his burning sword against the giant scythe. The impact shook the battlefield violently and nearly sent him flying backward.

His arms scread in pain from the sheer force behind the collision.

Yet he still grinned through clenched teeth.

"Move, Neph!"

Nephis did not waste the opening.

She slipped past the redirected scythe and continued rushing toward the demon's chest.

Sunny watched everything unfold with widened eyes.

Things were happening too fast.

Far too fast.

The demon suddenly shifted its remaining pincer toward Senrix, aiming to crush him into paste.

But another arrow arrived first.

TWANG!

Elysia's second shot struck directly into the demon's damaged rear leg.

The behemoth staggered.

Its balance shifted for half a second.

And in that instant, Senrix moved again.

The crimson flas around his sword suddenly surged violently before collapsing inward. The blade lted into flowing fire that wrapped itself around both his fists.

A pair of massive crimson gauntlets ford around his hands.

Molten cracks pulsed across their surface like veins of lava.

Sunny blinked.

"What the hell—"

Senrix slamd one burning gauntlet directly into the demon's damaged limb.

CRASH!

Azure blood exploded outward.

The already weakened leg bent unnaturally beneath the force of the blow.

The Carapace Demon roared furiously.

Its gigantic body tilted.

And Nephis finally reached it.

At the sa ti, Elysia calmly drew another arrow.

Unlike before, she did not aim at the demon's limbs.

She aid at its eye.

TWANG!

The arrow shot forward with terrifying precision.

The demon instinctively turned its head to avoid losing its last remaining eye—

—and that tiny distraction beca fatal.

Nephis's steps suddenly changed.

Sunny imdiately noticed it.

The white flas had appeared.

Soft radiance ignited beneath Nephis's pale skin before flowing directly into the silver blade of her sword. The entire weapon transford into a radiant edge of pure incandescent light.

The air distorted around it.

The blade no longer looked like tal.

It looked like concentrated sunlight.

Sunny felt chills run down his spine.

Even Senrix paused briefly after seeing it.

The Carapace Demon sensed danger imdiately.

Its remaining scythe swung wildly toward Nephis again.

This ti, Sunny moved.

Despite the exhaustion tearing through his body, he rushed forward with the Starlight Sword clenched tightly in his hand.

The giant scythe descended.

Sunny gritted his teeth and intercepted it.

CLANG!

The impact nearly shattered every bone in his arms.

Pain exploded through his body as he was thrown backward several ters across the sand.

But he succeeded.

The attack had been delayed for a fraction of a second.

And that fraction was enough.

Nephis leapt into the air.

Her radiant blade pierced directly toward the damaged spot on the demon's chest.

The exact weak point Cassie had seen in her vision.

The giant tried to move.

Too late.

The glowing sword pierced through the weakened armor.

For one mont, everything beca silent.

Then—

White flas exploded inside the Carapace Demon's body.

The giant convulsed violently as beams of radiant light burst through every crack in its armor. Azure blood instantly evaporated beneath the overwhelming heat.

The scream that escaped the demon sounded less like a roar and more like the death cry of a collapsing kingdom.

The entire Ashen Barrow trembled.

Then the giant staggered backward.

Once.

Twice.

And finally collapsed.

BOOM!

The impact shook the island violently.

Silence followed.

Nobody moved for several seconds.

Sunny lay flat on the sand, barely breathing.

Senrix slowly dropped to one knee nearby, the crimson gauntlets fading back into a sword before disappearing completely.

Nephis landed heavily on the ground, pale and trembling from the agony caused by her flas.

And Elysia…

Elysia simply lowered her bow quietly.

Her pink hair swayed gently in the wind while her sharp eyes remained fixed on the demon's corpse, making sure it truly was dead.

Only after several more seconds passed did she finally relax slightly.

"We won," she whispered softly.

The scarlet light inside the Carapace Demon's remaining eye dimd completely.

The nightmare creature was dead.

Above them, the crimson leaves of the great tree rustled quietly beneath the morning breeze.

Then Cassie's anxious voice descended from the branches overhead:

"…Is it over?"

Sunny inhaled painfully before forcing himself to raise his head.

Then, with the last bit of strength left in his exhausted body, he shouted upward:

"ONE DEMON STEAK COMING RIGHT UP!"
