Leah watched the woman’s hurried figure leaving, frowning slightly. In the Imperial City, she only knew people from the Shaw Family and Howard Family. Could it be soone she knew before she lost her mory?

Leah casually grabbed two bottles of milk and headed back, only to see a tall and straight man standing in front of the counter’s quick shopping rack. He lowered his eyebrows to look at the small items, his side profile cold and resolute, exuding an air of sharpness like a blade.

Richard Shaw’s features were extrely handso, but the cold and stern aura accumulated over the years weakened the impact of his looks. Nine out of ten people thought he was cold, and the remaining one thought he was good-looking but dull — that was probably her.

Leah walked over with the milk, seeing him holding a box of condoms, studying it calmly, which made her eyes widen instantly. Her cheeks flushed, and she stumbled over her words, "Hurry up and pay, why are you looking at those?"

"Necessary," the man’s voice was low and husky, his tea-colored gaze falling on her small face, carrying a hint of deeper aning, his voice lowering even more, "Unless you plan on giving another child?"

The two bottles of milk nearly slipped out of Leah’s hands onto her feet. Her cheeks flushed as she glanced at the cashier girl, noticing her repeatedly looking their way. Leah pulled Richard Shaw’s clothes and whispered, "Stop looking, go and pay."

"Okay," the man responded in a low voice, then casually tossed several boxes he had been examining into the shopping cart.

Leah: "..."

With this interruption, her attention shifted from the suspicious woman to Richard Shaw. How could he be so confident that what he bought would be used?

In fact, the man didn’t like using these things, hoping Leah would give him a cute little daughter like Benjamin Leclair, so that old Lee wouldn’t parade his adorable daughter daily, claiming she’s number one in the world with pride.

However, it’s better to be prepared.

After paying, the pair held hands and pushed the cart out.

Luna Lawrence hid behind the shelves, watching the couple’s intimate interaction, a trace of etched hatred flashing across her delicates face. Eight years had passed since back then, when Eamon Turner handed a dagger to her behind Richard Shaw’s back, making her cut her flesh and bleed, clearly wanting her dead, torturing her to death.

That night in the hospital, she heard it clearly — such a commotion, and she was moved out of the hospital. Crystal Landon died, and she felt nothing more satisfying in life. Yet thinking about her own situation, she was forced to feign madness to escape death.

She knew Richard Shaw too well. Nostalgic, if he found out she was insane, for her brother’s sake, he wouldn’t kill her.

Sure enough, she was dumped in a ntal hospital by soone, beginning a ntal tornt. No matter how many tis she tried to escape, she couldn’t succeed. Until last year, soone mysterious contacted her, telling her Crystal Landon wasn’t dead, promising to help her escape, help her take revenge.

She spent eight years pretending to be crazy, took imnse effort to finally escape the asylum, faked an identity, and could only work as a supermarket clerk. But they lived atop the pyramid, leading wealthy, reputable lives.

Luna’s face twisted, fingers tightly clenched, her eyes flickering with madness. She wasn’t going to let them get away with it.

Once back to the small villa, Richard Shaw placed the fresh purchases into the refrigerator and washed the fruits, putting her favored strawberries on a plate. Just as Leah changed into ho wear and ca down, sitting on the sofa, calling Cassius Turner.

The man leaned on one side, watching her politely speak with the Land Family’s second son. She clearly differentiated with people: cold to strangers, warm to friends but only playful and childish with those she trusted, like Delphine Carter and Griffith Squire.

He was grateful that during those years, apart from loving her brother, she had a good friend accompanying her — only then was she carefree and unrestrained, just as she was in her youth.

Leah hung up the call, seeing him silently leaning aside. She teased, "Why aren’t you leaving yet? If you leave too late, you’ll return at midnight."

Shaw Mansion is very far, it takes 2 hours to drive.

When Richard Shaw saw she had finished the call, he then walked over, stretched out his long arm, embraced her, sitting on the sofa, saying in a deep voice, "You ca to the Imperial City today without calling ."

Is this settling old scores? Leah’s heart skipped a beat, quickly with wide innocent eyes, she tugged on his clothes, acting spoiled, "I was going to surprise you, but Caspian Howard pulled away. Talking about tonight makes angry."

She deliberately ranted angrily about Hawk Howard’s arranged marriage, hoping to divert his attention.

Richard lifted a sharp eyebrow, looking at her seductive red lips and the tiny pink tongue occasionally peeking between them. His mouth instantly went dry, and he lowered his gaze for a deep kiss. The mont he saw her in the diner, he had wanted to do just that.

Leah was caught in his kiss, whimpered twice, her heart raced, and she stopped ntioning Hawk Howard’s arranged marriage. Touching his chest, she chuckled lightly, "Your heart is beating so fast."

"Because seeing soone I like makes my heart race," Richard Shaw’s voice was hoarse. He kissed her cheeks one by one but didn’t dare to go any further for fear of losing control and suffering for it.

Despite being alone, circumstances tempting them, within his mind, it wasn’t his turf, uneasy.

"Shaw the Blockhead, this iron tree of yours finally blood, your mouth sweet as honey, congratulations on flowering, you’ll be nad Flora Shaw from now on." Leah giggled looking at his face, dark as iron but unworried, lazily acting playfully, "Craving strawberries, fetch them for ."

"At Shaw’s, the only Flora is you, I’ll always be the blockhead, protecting you, my little flower." He pinched her small ear, his voice low, lips curling up; she’s his little flower indeed.

"What a cheesy na." Leah wrinkled her nose disdainfully, watched as he brought the strawberries over, contentedly eating them one by one together.

The two snuggled for a long ti, enjoying the rare mont. Ever since returning from Switzerland, Richard Shaw had been in the Cold Palace. Now that Leah was willing to be close to him, he was reluctant to leave.

"I’m going to sleep, you should go." Leah, having goofed around with him and flown during the day, was a bit tired, prompting him to leave quickly.

"I’ll watch you sleep before leaving." He gently stroked her silky straight hair, speaking softly.

Leah nodded, letting him be, dozing in his arms, then falling asleep.

Shaw, seeing her asleep, carried her upstairs, arranged for security, and then drove back to Shaw Mansion.
