Griffith Squire raised an eyebrow and, noticing Ignatius Leclair making his way toward the crew, his lips curved into a faint, elusive smile. So, he couldn’t hold back this quickly? Back then, he carried out those despicable deeds without a hint of sha.

"Ignatius Leclair asked to et you at Cloud Summit tonight, boss. Should I go cancel it?"

Griffith Squire waved his hand and responded with a light smile, "Tell Ignatius I’ll be there on ti."

With the sponsor present, even though Lian Jiang was considered a breath of fresh air in the directing world and had a rather aloof personality, he still understood the importance of social niceties. After filming for a short while, he instructed the crew to wrap up and announced a dinner invitation for the evening.

The crowd cheered enthusiastically.

Lian Jiang extended a polite and cordial invitation, "Mr. Griffith, I’ve reserved a table at Club One Mansion. Please honor us with your presence tonight."

Griffith Squire’s charming eyes lifted slightly; he smiled faintly and said, "I’ve got other plans tonight, so I won’t be able to join you. Enjoy yourselves. All expenses for tonight will be covered by ."

If Ignatius Leclair showed up, he’d undoubtedly take Delphine away. By then, how could Griffith possibly be interested in dining with a bunch of old n?

Lian Jiang hurriedly tried to decline the offer, but Griffith Squire seed unwilling to engage further. He signaled to his trusty aide and then stood up.

Delphine changed into a different outfit and removed her makeup. As she stepped out, she was suddenly enveloped by a shadow.

"I chased Bessie Leclair away for you today, and you don’t even thank ?" Griffith’s long legs took a step forward, blocking Delphine’s path. He noticed she had swapped into simple black pants and a white T-shirt, bare-faced, with her jet-black eyes gleaming like luminous black gemstones, making her skin appear even fairer. His gaze deepened as he leaned closer and lightly inhaled the fragrance lingering in her hair.

Such a flirtatious gesture, when perford by Griffith, carried not the slightest hint of vulgarity. His devilishly handso features were graced with a playful smile; he pressed forward relentlessly, causing the crew mbers nearby to blush in embarrassnt.

Young people nowadays were really sothing else—standing there as a stunning man and beautiful woman, they were undeniably captivating.

Delphine took a step back and spoke quietly, "Mr. Griffith, please show so restraint."

"I’ve already restrained myself enough. In the past, you’d have been tied up and thrown onto my bed by now." Griffith drawled lazily.

Delphine’s face grew slightly pale. She tightened her grip on her bag and replied in a cool voice, "Tis have changed. Soone as dull as —why bother wasting your ti, Mr. Griffith?"

Having known him for years, no one understood better than her that beneath Griffith’s impeccably handso façade lay a heart as cold and cruel as the devil. Otherwise, in a place where the ruthless devoured the weak, he couldn’t have carved out his dominion and earned such a notorious reputation.

"You’re much more interesting now than you ever were before." Griffith glanced at his watch. Ignatius would arrive soon—what a pity.

He reached out, tilted her chin up with his fingers, and smiled. "By the way, I still have the contract from back then. I’ll be waiting for you to co and claim it."

Delphine’s eyes narrowed sharply. She should have known—the contract was still in Griffith’s hands.

Griffith hadn’t been gone for even five minutes when Dongzi approached her and spoke in a hushed tone, "Miss Five, Mr. Leclair is here. He’s waiting for you outside."

Delphine was montarily stunned. Seeing that the crew was busy discussing dinner plans, she silently slipped away, sent Lian Jiang a brief ssage, and then headed toward Ignatius Leclair’s car.

To avoid drawing attention, Ignatius had parked his vehicle in a discreet corner of an old Republic District building.

The man stood against the green wall and red tiles, leaning on the car door. The setting sun’s glow illuminated his chiseled, handso profile, exuding an aura of cold restraint and aloofness.

Ignatius seed to have been waiting for quite so ti. When he saw her approaching, his deep, narrow phoenix-like eyes revealed an unfathomable darkness.

Delphine hesitated briefly before walking toward him. Before she could utter a word, the man pulled her into his arms.

Holding her slender, supple figure tightly, he asked in a husky, low voice, "Delphine, over the five years you were gone, is there nothing you want to say to ?"
