"Young Master Leclair, Miss Delphine was abducted. Dongzi took two bullets and is currently in critical condition." Maximilian lowered his voice, speaking with a pounding heart. "Jing Liu has already taken the team to pursue them. This happened just thirty minutes ago."

"Idiot." Ignatius Leclair pressed his hand against his temple, which was throbbing with pain, forcing himself to stay calm. His handso, chiseled face darkened to a stormy gloom.

Ignatius unlocked his phone and scrolled through his call records until Delphine’s number ca into view. His expression grew even grimr.

"The phone’s location system is undoubtedly a trap. Have Jing Liu track from the scene’s evidence instead. Keep a close eye on Jocelyn Yeager’s movents," the man ordered in a deep, frosty voice, swiftly issuing commands. "Call the Leclair Estate and find out exactly where Bessie Leclair is."

By the end, his voice was laced with barely controlled fury.
