The Z Family’s charity banquet was the only event Kyla Zamora hadn’t declined on Delphine’s behalf.

Delphine counted the balance in her small savings account, silently withdrawing one million from it to donate. That one million was equivalent to the pay from three of her films. If it hadn’t been for the revenue share she recently received from the movie Twin Flowers, this charity banquet would have been a real stretch for her.

On her way downstairs, she happened to encounter Mrs. Gu, but Delphine lowered her gaze and quietly avoided her.

Mrs. Gu, once awkward upon seeing her, now acted as though nothing had ever occurred, spending her days joyfully attending various events with other wealthy socialites.

Delphine felt uncomfortable for a few days but gradually ca to terms with it. The connections between people, as it turned out, couldn’t be forced.

Kyla Zamora had been waiting outside the Leclair residence since the morning. As soon as she saw Delphine erge, she rushed over, sowhat tightening her smile as she remarked with surprise, "I thought Sir Leclair would be accompanying you."

Delphine offered her a faint smile and replied, "Let’s go."

The Z Family’s charity banquet largely invited A-list celebrities. In the Entertainnt Sector, it was considered a prestigious affair, although Ignatius Leclair never attended such banquets.

The Southeast Asian elite hosted an annual charity banquet that featured opulence and extravagance, where donations were counted in billions—far surpassing the scope of charity within the Entertainnt Sector.

Kyla Zamora’s social position hadn’t reached that level yet, so naturally, she remained unaware of it. Her reaction showed so regret, followed by a sense of acceptance.

Delphine’s career had been rising teoricly after such a short ti in the industry, drawing imnse envy from her peers. Adding rumors about her and Sir Leclair into the mix would surely provoke jealousy on a hysterical scale.

Kyla Zamora first took the young lady to get styled, then to try on clothing sponsored by the brands. By the ti they finished, the day was already approaching dusk.

When the two arrived at the venue for the charity banquet, their timing was perfectly in between early and late.

Though it was a charity banquet, there was still a miniature red carpet to walk. Delphine, arm-in-arm with her manager, walked the red carpet.

This ti, her look had a polished, gender-neutral edge—sleek, shoulder-length straight hair, understated makeup, finely defined features, beige trousers paired with a matching beige blazer. On cara, her long legs looked masterfully elongated, her skin luminescent with a pearl-like glow. The effect was a startling shift from her usual goddess-like image, but stunning nonetheless.

"That’s Delphine! Oh my God, she’s been absent from the public eye for ages now."

"From the chest down, it’s all legs. Why do I think the goddess looks even more beautiful in pants?"

"Get the shot—post it on Weibo!"

"Why didn’t the official account ntion Delphine was attending? I need to rage-comnt on her manager’s Weibo."

Photos of Delphine walking the red carpet swiftly surfaced on Weibo. After several months of radio silence, her fans—affectionately called "Greens"—were nearly in tears, ecstatic at having their long-lost Delphine rediscovered.

This ti, she wasn’t a goddess but a queen. Her crisp, gender-neutral aura was shockingly srizing.

The Greens wept with joy and proudly flaunted their idol’s breathtaking appearance, sparking envy among other fan bases. What followed was a bewildering outbreak of online engagent and rivalry.

Delphine and Kyla Zamora entered the banquet’s main hall, where nurous A-list celebrities had already gathered, including Charles Taylor, an actor with whom she had worked before.

Charles Taylor, who was in his mid-thirties—the pri of a man’s charm and allure—brightened with excitent the mont he caught sight of her. He strode swiftly toward her and greeted her with a gentle, polished smile, "I haven’t seen you in half a year, Delphine. You’ve already secured your place among the A-list starlets. We old-tirs are practically washed up on the shore now."

Delphine responded with a mild smile, "You’re far too modest, sir. It’s only been a stroke of luck for ."

"Let introduce you to soone." Charles Taylor gave her a teasing wink and continued, "The organizers practically moved heaven and earth to invite this gentleman. He’s a bona fide scion of aristocracy—the circle he’s from is entirely different from ours."

With that, Charles gestured toward a polished and youthful socialite at the center of a crowd, being fawned over like a star in his own right.
