Now reading: Chapter 326: The Man is Like a Fierce Beast, Wanting to Devo from the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart, a Romance novel by Smoky and desolate.

A man walked against the light, his deep, narrow phoenix eyes squinting in the wind. With just one glance, he spotted Delphine standing amidst a group of rugged n.

She was still holding a phone in her hand, the sea breeze whipping her shoulder-length black hair into disarray. Her small, delicate face was pale and tender, her large, dark eyes full of shock and faint traces of grievance.

Ignatius Leclair did not halt his steps. He strode directly toward her, removed the coat from his shoulders, and draped it over her. Then, with a asure of restraint, he pulled her slender body completely into his embrace.

The crew on the deck observed the man, noble and imposing, descending from the sky in a helicopter. His overwhelmingly commanding presence suffocated them, prompting all to step back two paces, not daring to make a sound.

Delphine was enveloped entirely in his arms. The familiar, cool scent of pine filled her nose, and the nerves she had been tightly stretching suddenly relaxed. Her eyes reddened as she buried her face into the man’s warm chest.

Ignatius Leclair, having never seen her reveal such a dependent expression, felt a mix of joy and fury in his heart. His phoenix eyes, sharp as blades, turned to the group erging from the ship’s cabin. With a chillingly heavy tone, he commanded, "Take the boat and everyone aboard back to the South Seas."

His gaze swept over the void, landing coldly on Jocelyn Yeager. The curve of his lips was ruthless and sinister.

Jocelyn’s pupils suddenly contracted, and he remained speechless.

Ignatius withdrew his gaze, lifted the woman in his arms, and turned to board the helicopter.

The troops that had received orders began to act, subduing all the crew on the ship and setting sail back to the South Seas.

"He just left like that?" Sylvester Cloud stared in disbelief at the helicopter spinning away into the sky. "He didn’t even bother to greet us first and just took my Cloud Family’s boat and people back to the South Seas? What’s worse, he sent a whole warship to intimidate us common folk?"

Cloud’s Second Uncle observed the man’s cold-blooded and unyielding deanor, a flash of admiration appearing in his eyes. He asked, "Is that the eldest grandson of the Leclair Family?"

Cloud Second Uncle, who had spent his youth sailing and exploring, was therefore unacquainted with Ignatius Leclair.

"That’s him," Sylvester confird, still struggling to quell his indignation. "Second Uncle, did you see? To him, we don’t exist at all. Our families have been close for generations, and he couldn’t care less."

Cloud’s Second Uncle smiled, reaching out to pat his nephew’s shoulder. His beard concealed his broad, carefree smile as he said, "Kid, if you reach his level one day, you, too, can be domineering and unreasonable."

The Cloud Family was steeped in tradition, raising heirs to be distinguished gentlen of noble families. The Leclair Family heir, in turn, resembled a tiger erging from its cage—a king of survival.

The fact that such a figure existed among the younger generation in the South Seas proved that their century-old legacy had not been tarnished.

Cloud Second Uncle looked to where the helicopter had vanished, his thick brows furrowing. For so reason, he felt a vague sense of loss. Perhaps age had caught up with him, and seeing young people wage such dramatic battles for love reminded him of past people and events. He, too, had once loved a gentle, radiant woman—only for her to vanish into the seas of humanity. It felt as though half his soul had been taken away, prompting him to leave ho for over twenty years with no fixed return in sight.

The surge of emotion lasted only a few minutes. Delphine, seeing Ignatius Leclair embracing her like this in front of everyone, being carried onto the helicopter, felt her nerves montarily unravel. The man held her with such force that she couldn’t push him away, his phoenix eyes narrowed dangerously.

Barely surviving a brush with death, she saw the harsh expression on his face and his silence, which made her feel aggrieved and distressed. She began to struggle, reaching out to push against him.

Ignatius placed her on the seat, seized her small face, and leaned down abruptly.

His kiss was fast and fierce, like a feral beast intent on devouring her whole.
