Delphine’s beautiful, dark eyes abruptly widened, staring at Ignatius Leclair in disbelief as she said, "Are you insane?"

This was sothing she hadn’t agreed to yet.

The man tilted his face slightly, his handso features sharp and defined under the sparse daylight, as he spoke in a low, unhurried voice, "I thought we agreed on this yesterday. The staff is already here now."

There was a touch of resignation in his tone.

Seeing his expression—a look that plainly stated the marriage was a done deal regardless of her consent—Delphine was so furious that her entire body trembled. She couldn’t string a single word together.

Still so adorable, unable to speak whenever she’s angry. The man’s phoenix-like eyes deepened slightly, his large hand wrapped around her delicate shoulders, pulling her tightly into his embrace. In a low voice, he said, "There’s already a child. If we don’t marry, are you planning to make the child illegitimate?"

In the late spring, dense, lush trees stretched as far as the eye could see, wisteria vines climbed the eaves, and an old, three-story Western-style villa stood amidst the verdant greenery and blooming flowers. In front of it, a handso and elegant man held a pale, thin woman with delicate features in his arms, lowering his head to whisper softly. The scene was tender and picturesque.

The staff had never seen such a stunning pair before. If news spread that the Crown Prince of the South Seas was getting married, who knew what kind of waves it would cause. To top it off, this Mr. Leclair seed to love his wife dearly. Who said there was no love among the wealthy aristocracy? Right before their eyes was living proof.

"Have the two of you thought this through? Marriage is a big decision," the staff mber asked with a customary polite smile.

"Yes." The man replied with a dignified indifference.

"I don’t agree." A cold, clear voice of dissent.

The staff mber holding the seal trembled slightly.

Ignatius Leclair’s expression remained unchanged. He offered the staff a polite smile and said with an air of aloof determination, "Proceed with the registration now. We argued yesterday—she’s still upset."

Delphine’s eyes turned red with anger, her heart filled with grievance. She wanted to struggle, but the man’s arm, as unyielding as a wall of iron, didn’t budge no matter how hard she pinched or pushed.

"I said no. This marriage is invalid." Her voice trembled, and her beautiful, dark eyes glossed with unshed tears, on the verge of falling any second.

The staff exchanged uncertain glances. As they hesitated, the man’s voice turned cold as ice, carrying a trace of danger as he said, "You’ve already wasted two minutes."

The staff quickly affixed the photograph, stamped the paperwork, and handed over the two red certificates. Following the guidance of the assistant, they hastily gathered their docunts into their briefcases and left, not even having the ti to offer a congratulatory remark. Even after walking out for a while, they could still faintly hear the man softly coaxing her.

The female staff mber couldn’t help but steal a glance back. She saw the handso but aloof Mr. Leclair carrying the frail woman into the house. The sight left her face flushed, her heart racing. Despite her age, such a scene still ignited a girlish flutter in her chest.

"Thank you, both. I’ll need to head back to prepare for Mr. Leclair’s wedding affairs, so I won’t see you out. I hope you both can keep this matter confidential." Maximilian smiled as he escorted them out.

The two nodded repeatedly in a fluster.

After the Gold dal assistant walked away, the male staff mber murmured, "Would this count as a forced marriage?"

"Probably not," the female staff mber responded, her tone hesitant and uncertain.

Who would believe it if they told anyone? That the Crown Prince of the South Seas had to coerce a woman into marriage. He must love her enough that, even without her consent, he would stop at nothing to make the marriage happen.
