The man stepped forward without a word, reaching out to touch her icy hands, then gently brushing her pale face. His expression darkened as he asked Aunt Lee, "When my mother was pregnant with , was it like this? Or is Delphine’s health particularly poor?"

"When Madam was pregnant with the eldest young master back then, it was also like this. Pregnancy is hard for won, and they need to be carefully cared for everywhere." Aunt Lee didn’t dare to say that Miss Delphine’s health was weaker than the average person, fearing that he might grow anxious again.

Ignatius Leclair’s emotions were complex. Ever since learning of her childhood spent living with the Leclair Family, recalling his own actions from when she’d first returned to the South Seas, his handso face had grown ominously grim. The hypnosis sessions, the buried past—this man who had always been as steadfast as steel now found himself riddled with uncertainties, unsure of what kind of past he was about to confront.

Delphine noticed his strange behavior over the past few days, almost as if he were an entirely different person. She furrowed her brows slightly and murmured, "Pregnant won are always like this."

Her pale and indifferent face bore no softness nor spoiled gestures, nor did she excessively complain. It seed as though to her, life was naturally this way—whether trials or peace, it was all sothing to accept.

A feeling of helplessness and heartache surged through the man’s chest. When Maximilian sent off Dr. Wen, Ignatius gave an order: "Bring in a nutritionist to tailor Delphine’s diet."

Ignatius wanted to say more but realized that he knew very little about her preferences. Delphine’s closest friend was in Europe, and she hardly had any acquaintances in the South Seas. She had lived a very bitter life these past years.

"Miss Delphine is with child, so it’s important to keep her mood uplifting. If friends co to visit, she might feel quite happy," Maximilian suggested, naming two agents she had worked with during filming.

"Does she have any close friends in the industry?" Ignatius asked, his face darkened.

"Not particularly, although she does have a few directors and male actors she’s on good terms with." Maximilian noticed his imdiate gloomy expression and quickly added, "Ahem, directors and agents would be a better choice."

"Go and arrange it," Ignatius said in a deep voice.

Kyla Zamora, Jason, and two directors ca to visit the next morning. All of them were insiders from the industry, often filming in the Northern Town’s cultural district. They had long known the properties there belonged to the Leclair Family. But as they followed Maximilian along paths lined with blossoming flowers and lush trees, arriving at the district’s most renowned landmark—which turned out to have owners, and even more shockingly, to be Delphine’s residence—they were left utterly speechless.

"Does Delphine really live here?" Jason stared at the unbelievably beautiful house, pinched his thigh, and almost drooled. "Back then, Delphine was literally soone I picked up off the street—how do I always manage to find such extraordinary people by chance?"

Maximilian was already used to the erratic thought process of this agent. He smiled politely and explained, "This entire area belongs to Young Master Leclair. This particular house is his mother’s old residence, which had stood vacant for several years. Miss Delphine is pregnant and needs rest, so Young Master Leclair moved in here with her."

Kyla Zamora, being the steadier of the bunch, slapped Jason on the head and warned, "Don’t scream later, or you’ll frighten the baby in Delphine’s belly."

After speaking, Kyla turned to Director Grant and Theodore Hughes behind her with a warm smile.

Director Grant and Theodore Hughes, when they first t this newcor, had already sensed her identity wasn’t simple, her background exceptionally solid. When the infamous love triangle scandal in the South Seas broke out, they realized that Delphine’s backing was far more formidable than they’d initially thought—it was practically diamond-hard.
