In early March, Cassius Turner called her and said the docunts for her early graduation application were ready, asking her to return to Imperial City to pick them up.

Delphine thought about it for a mont and decided to make the trip herself.

"Going back to Imperial City?" When Delphine brought this up, the man was rolling up his sleeves and using a floral hoe to loosen the soil in the small garden, preparing to transplant so rare flower varieties from Erald Hill Villas. Upon hearing her words, he lifted his phoenix-like eyes and slowly asked, "To see Cassius Turner?"

Delphine was montarily at a loss for words and replied, "It’s to get the docunts from school. The early graduation application in France requires these docunts from here."

She was here as an exchange student.

"So, you’re still going to see Cassius Turner." Ignatius Leclair sneered coldly. He stopped loosening the soil, straightened his tall, commanding fra, and stood gracefully by the small fountain, his thin lips pressing together with displeasure.

Delphine noticed he had been behaving more unreasonably lately, attempting to control more and more of her life. Now, even going back to school prompted interrogation. Huffing coldly, she responded indifferently, "I’ll be gone for about half a month. Please take care of Nicholas and Benjamin."

After speaking, Delphine went to pack her luggage. After arriving in Imperial City, she would still need to fly to France to complete the necessary procedures before returning.

Ignatius watched the petite woman leave on her own, his handso face darkened with a trace of gloom. Ever since he ntioned the wedding, Delphine had been acting distant toward him—not only was her attitude cold, but even their daily interactions had beco nonexistent.

She was clearly trying to distance herself from him.

His deep eyes held quiet anger as he suppressed his fury. His own wife was trying to keep her distance—how were they supposed to continue living like this?

That evening, Nicholas Carter and Benjamin Leclair returned ho from school, only to find out their mommy would be leaving for so ti. They also noticed their daddy’s grim expression.

Benjamin quietly pulled Nicholas aside, stroking the bunny’s ears in his arms, and whispered, "Daddy must’ve scared Mommy. Mommy’s going to run away from ho."

Nicholas’s mouth dropped open. The young boy blinked his dark, beautiful eyes and said, "If Mommy runs away from ho, she’ll take us with her."

He’d been following his mommy everywhere since he was little.

Benjamin scratched his fluffy hair, thought about it, and decided Nicholas was right. He nodded firmly and whispered, "I want to go with Mommy."

Daddy’s expression was too frightening—if he stayed, what if Daddy hit him?

Nicholas thought the sa, so the two little ones spent the entire evening sticking close to Delphine, following her wherever she went.

"Benjamin, be good. Nicholas, be good. Mommy is just handling a few things and will be back very soon," Delphine sighed helplessly and bent down to reassure the two little ones.

"Can’t you take us? Nicholas and I are really well-behaved." Benjamin tilted his little face up, holding the bunny tightly. His large, dark eyes shimred innocently as he spoke in an unusually sweet voice.

Nicholas, rarely separated from Delphine, found it hard to adapt to the idea of her being gone for half a month. Every ti she traveled, she always took him along.

From the sofa, the man, silent all evening, watched the two little ones’ rebellion. His expression grew even darker. So now, his wife and children were all planning to leave him? Leaving him for half a month right in front of his face?

He coughed lightly. The two children exchanged a glance, their little bodies shivered, then latched onto Delphine’s legs, wailing in their young voices, "Mommy, I want to go too."

Ignatius let out a cold snort and stood up, grabbing the two little ones—one in each hand—and carrying them to their room for so re-education.
