Delphine arrived at the hospital in the afternoon. Ignatius Leclair dropped her off and left.

She located Kyla Zamora’s ward. Kyla’s forehead injury had been stitched with several sutures, and the wound was already bandaged as she scolded a young entertainer who had just regained consciousness.

When Delphine entered, she witnessed Kyla stomping around in anger while the young entertainer repeatedly bawled, "Sis, I’m not leaving! If I go back, I’ll never be able to hold my head up again!"

"And when you were flirting with those trust-fund brats, did you ever think about whether you’d be able to hold your head up high?" Kyla was so exhausted from scolding that she ran out of energy. Spotting Delphine, she stepped out of the ward and sat in the hallway in a sulk, a flood of complaints ready to pour out.

Delphine patted her hand and asked, "What did the doctor say?"

"Three stitches. It’ll likely leave a scar. But that’s not what matters. What really pisses off is that I got beaten—fine, I can live with that—but I ended up dragging you into it too." Kyla’s voice cracked with frustration. "That sneaky little brat—hiding her true colors so well. The second I let my guard down, she disappeared. If I hadn’t tracked her down, no one would’ve known if I’d been beaten to death. All that care I wasted on her was for nothing."

"Everyone has their own path. Now that this matter’s cleared up—and since it’s with soone we know—it won’t cause further problems." Delphine replied blandly.

While they were talking, Nathan Leclair and Jack Zamora walked over.

"Bro, over here! Such a stunner—I could spot her from a distance." Jack teased in his distinctly Southern-accented tone. Although he was clearly a bit of a playboy, there was sothing oddly disarming about him as he dragged Nathan along.

Nathan had gone back to change into a fresh outfit, tidying up his appearance. Although not as striking as Ignatius, the Leclair family’s strong genes were undeniable. Tall and athletically built from years of physical activity, Nathan had the kind of looks that could make girls scream in excitent from a crowd.

"Director Gu, we ca by to cover the dical expenses." Jack said with a broad smile.

Kyla, a little shaken, stood up and smiled. "Mr. Nathan, Mr. Zamora, we can handle the dical costs ourselves. It’s not necessary to trouble you—just a misunderstanding by so inexperienced perforrs."

She figured being able to walk away with her life was already fortunate. As for dical expenses, that wasn’t even sothing she dared to consider.

"Brother Yang says we’re all family—no need to be so formal." Jack trotted off rrily to settle the bills on her behalf.

Nathan maintained the aloofness typical of a scion from a prestigious family. He made his rounds just to confirm no one had been gravely injured. Satisfied, he turned to Delphine and said, "I’m heading over later to drop off so supplies and food for Isaac. Would you like to co along? He’ll probably be quite happy to see you."

If it had been any other invitation, Delphine would’ve declined without hesitation. But since it concerned Isaac, she hesitated inwardly for a mont before nodding and responding, "Alright, I’ll go visit him."

Kyla’s injuries didn’t warrant hospitalization, so she packed up and went ho to rest.

Delphine had arrived at the hospital in Ignatius’ car, so to get to Isaac’s school, she had no choice but to ride with Nathan. Thankfully, the driver was Jack, an incorrigible chatterbox, which spared them the discomfort of riding alone together.
