the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart Chapter 75 Ignatius Leclair stormed out, still furious
Delphine lost her support and collapsed onto the carpet, her whole body tensed like a drawn bow, trembling uncontrollably, unable to get up for a long while.
Ten minutes later, Maximilian knocked on the door and spoke softly: "Miss Delphine, the family doctor is here. Madam Gu is fine."
For such a scandal, Madam Gu naturally couldn’t be sent to the hospital—only the family doctor could be brought to the Leclair mansion.
Delphine wanted to speak, but her voice was hoarse and incapable of making any sound. She struggled to her feet, casually grabbed one of Ignatius Leclair’s coats, tightly wrapped her bruised body, opened the door, and stepped out.
Maximilian saw her erge—her face pale and expressionless, wearing the coat of Mr. Leclair, appearing so fragile she might collapse with a single gust of wind. His expression changed instantly, hesitating to offer help but ultimately dared not.
"I’ll find a doctor for you," Maximilian said softly, lowering his gaze.
Delphine shook her head and rasped, "My aunt?"
"Dr. Zheng examined the wounds, applied dicine, and administered an IV. She’ll be fine." The real worry is probably you, though. Maximilian’s face looked grim. When Mr. Leclair left earlier, his entire deanor was oppressive to the extre. Miss Delphine now looked like this—nobody could tell what might happen next.
For years, Stone Leclair had seed unmatched in his prestige across the South Seas, but in truth, his power was constantly being restrained. Outsiders could hardly imagine that the seemingly harmonious dynasty of the Leclair Family was long fractured, with father and son practically at war.
In the eight years since Mr. Leclair returned to the South Seas, his thods had been both cunning and disruptive, single-handedly stirring the entire region’s dynamics into chaos. Only his close confidants among the inner circle could vaguely grasp a fraction of his real intentions.
Mr. Leclair’s return to the South Seas was never about inheriting the vast assets of the Leclair mansion. It was to take down his father, Stone Leclair.
After all, with the influence of Mr. Leclair’s maternal grandmother from the Howard Family, combined with his own abilities, the South Seas Leclair household didn’t even warrant his concern.
Only the entangled feuds between the Howard Family and the Leclair Family were known to Mr. Leclair himself—and perhaps that elderly matriarch from the Howard Family.
Maximilian rely speculated on these matters, never daring to reveal even the slightest hint. He especially wouldn’t ntion that today, Mr. Leclair had taken action against one of Stone Leclair’s most critical confidants.
With this trusted ally exposed, it was as if Stone Leclair had lost an arm. Furious, he had vented his anger on Madam Gu.
Maximilian wouldn’t dare breathe a word of this. Now that Mr. Leclair and Miss Delphine’s relationship was walking on a razor’s edge, combined with Madam Gu’s incident, the fallout would be hard to predict, and it was uncertain how many people might suffer.
Upon hearing that her mother was fine, Delphine let out a long breath. She leaned numbly against the cold wall, her body utterly drained.
When Ignatius slamd the door on his way out, it was evident that his anger hadn’t subsided. This scandal wasn’t over yet.
However, thankfully her mother was all right. What cos tomorrow can be dealt with tomorrow—it will work out, eventually.
"Thank you." She croaked a gratitude, lowering her eyes, her face pale as paper.
"Miss Delphine, you should rest early. Call if you need anything." Maximilian spoke softly, then withdrew silently. He had rely been tasked with finding the family doctor for Madam Gu. With his mission completed, he needed to return to Mr. Leclair’s side.
Ignatius left the Leclair mansion and drove straight to Cloud Summit. At the entrance, Little Six was waiting. Upon seeing Mr. Leclair step out of the car with a dark expression and having received Maximilian’s advance warning, Little Six was visibly cautious, lowering his voice as he approached to report, "Mr. Leclair, soone from the Shaw Family has arrived."
Ignatius squinted at this information and stood at the entrance of Cloud Summit for a full minute. He gazed at the dazzling and chaotic nightscape of the South Seas before nodding slightly and saying, "Let them in."
