Ignatius Leclair hurried through the long hallway, rushing outside just in ti to bump into Nathan Leclair on his way back. The man grabbed him firmly, his face showing a hint of urgency as he asked, "Have you seen Delphine?"

Nathan pursed his lips, gesturing forward as he replied coolly, "She’s on the phone."

Ignatius’s tense body finally relaxed as his gaze settled on the slender woman not far away, talking on the phone. Under the bright hospital lights, her profile looked as fair as jade, her long eyelashes casting crescent-shaped shadows. Hearing movent from their direction, she glanced up and gave a slight smile.

"What, afraid she’d leave?" Nathan teased, narrowing his eyes at how panicked Ignatius seed after briefly losing sight of her.

Ignatius’s expression softened, and he said calmly, "I’m heading back first. I’ll leave Grandpa in your capable hands."

Nathan responded with a faint "Mm," as Ignatius started walking directly toward Delphine.

Delphine was on the phone with Benjamin Leclair. Ever since the little girl had accompanied her great-great-grandmother to the Shaw Mansion and t the downcast Casimir Shaw, she decided to stop teasing him. Not only did she share her lollipop, but she also wanted to share her happiness.

"Mommy, can I bring Little Casimir back with ? He’s so pitiful, he doesn’t have a mommy," Benjamin whispered into the phone.

After her plea, Benjamin stared at the lollipop twirling in front of Casimir. Swallowing hard, even though she had plenty of her own, she couldn’t help but think Casimir’s lollipop seed especially delicious.

The little girl, whose height barely reached Casimir’s thigh, tiptoed and tried to grab the lollipop. Casimir swiftly pulled it away. The young boy already carried a trace of Richard Shaw’s steadfast deanor, lazily pointing at Benjamin’s phone with a gesture, signaling her to continue talking, reminding her that they had agreed on candy.

Her little lips pursed into a pout, and she let out a reluctant huff.

Nearby, Nicholas Carter covered his eyes. Why did he have a little sister who was such a foodie?

"Little Casimir has to go to school, Benjamin. Be good, okay? It’s not possible." Delphine firmly rejected her request. The Shaw family had only one cherished grandson; if Benjamin succeeded in bringing him over, the situation would be utter chaos.

Benjamin’s big, dark eyes instantly welled up with tears, as if her lollipop had sprouted wings and flown away. She tugged on the little tiger ears on Nicholas’s pants and handed the phone to him.

Nicholas’s face turned beet red as he took the phone, his small hands trying desperately to pull back the little tiger ears from behind his pants. Whether Benjamin was happy or upset, she always tugged his pants, leaving him, as her older brother, quite flustered.

"Mommy, Little Casimir says he misses his mommy. Benjamin said her mommy could share half with him," the little boy declared bravely. Imdiately, Benjamin’s upset voice chid in, delicate and soft, sounding almost like she was whining: "Nicholas, that was just sothing I said to comfort Little Casimir."

In truth, it was a trick to fool Casimir into giving her his lollipop.

Benjamin yanked hard on the little tiger ears on Nicholas’s pants, calling him a big dummy again and again.

Listening to the daily antics of the two little ones over the phone, the smile on Delphine’s lips deepened. She said softly, "Tomorrow, I’ll have Yeats Howard drive you two back, alright?"

"Oh yeah, going ho!"

"Okay!"

The two little ones instantly forgot what they had been talking about earlier and joyfully went off to find their great-great-grandmother. Mommy wanted them to go ho! Where was Yeats? They needed to pack lots and lots of lollipops and sweets.

As for the forgotten Casimir Shaw, he angrily stuffed the lollipop into his pocket, feeling like the world’s biggest fool.
