"It’s fine." The man spoke indifferently; by now, not only Stone Leclair, but even Bessie Leclair likely already knew about it. The only one left in the dark was Miss Carter.

Absolute power could sway public opinion—Ignatius Leclair never cared about so-called scandals.

The man reached out and gently stroked her small, delicate face, lowering his head to capture her thin lips in a kiss. It was domineering and allowed no escape.

"From now on, no one here will ever bully you again." Ignatius Leclair suppressed his slightly erratic breaths, released her, and spoke softly.

The next morning, Maximilian went to pick up Kyla Zamora at the Leclair residence. As Kyla approached and caught sight of the iconic red house of the Leclair residence, her legs began to tremble.

In the high society of Southeast Asia, who didn’t know of this red house? It was a symbol of power at its pinnacle.

Maximilian stopped the car, noticing her nervousness, and reminded her in a low voice, "If Mr. Leclair asks you anything, just answer truthfully. Miss Delphine hasn’t been feeling well lately. If you see her, don’t say too much."

Kyla was startled. Delphine was living at the Leclair residence? This was the foundation of the Leclair Family, practically a family estate, carrying profound significance. Wasn’t there supposed to be only one young lady in the Leclair Family?

Kyla didn’t have ti to ask further before following Maximilian into the side hall.

The grand and vintage Western-style building, passed down through a century, bore interior furnishings steeped in the charm and patina of ti. Even the rosewood flooring under her feet was undoubtedly priceless. Kyla took a deep breath, feeling as though she was treading on gold—she dared not make a single misstep.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Ignatius Leclair descended the stairs. The man was casually dressed in a light-colored cashre sweater and cotton trousers. His face was handso and sharp; his gaze, cold and commanding. He glanced at Kyla Zamora from head to toe with a detached yet intimidating air.

"Miss Zamora, please have a seat." Ignatius Leclair opened his mouth, his voice deep and magnetic.

This was an utterly overpowering conversation. In just a few minutes, once Ignatius Leclair had finished speaking, he instructed Maximilian to escort the agent out.

As Kyla left the Leclair residence, she realized her palms were slick with sweat, and even the smile on her face felt stiff.

Standing beneath a tall plane tree, her legs felt as though they were suspended in mid-air, soft and shaky. Raising her eyes, she asked Maximilian, "Why hasn’t Delphine co out?"

Ignatius Leclair’s overwhelming aura had left her head spinning during their brief exchange, silently filling her heart with dread. She couldn’t help but wonder about Delphine Carter, who lived side by side with Ignatius Leclair—silent yet breathtakingly beautiful. What would her interactions with him be like?

Maximilian faltered, unable to find the words. He felt rather helpless himself; the agent had already co to the doorstep, yet Mr. Leclair hadn’t instructed Miss Delphine to co downstairs.

This possessiveness—it was simply suffocating.

"Miss Delphine is unwell; after she recovers, she’ll return to work. Miss Zamora, there’s no need to worry," Maximilian said.

Kyla inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief.

After *Celestial Abyss* premiered, its box office soared. In no ti, the entire cast beca the talk of the town. But amidst the flood of promotional tours and endless variety shows, Delphine Carter—the most talked-about supporting actress in the film—vanished completely from public view.

Roadshows, celebratory banquets, variety appearances, interviews—she was noticeably absent from every event.

Her fans, nicknad "Fresh Greens," fretted day and night, refreshing the Twitter account of her agent Jason on repeat.

Jason, lanting and wailing, repeatedly assured them that Delphine was just recuperating. Very soon, the sequel would be released. He even dropped teaser photos from *Twin Flowers* to placate her followers.

The "Fresh Greens," both shocked and overjoyed, began counting down the days with bated breath, devouring the snippets of cold dogfood Jason casually scattered on social dia.

A month later, the whip marks on Delphine’s back had faded to a faint pink. The dicine Ignatius Leclair had given her worked wonders. Delphine estimated that with another one to two months, they would completely heal. Relieved, she promptly called Kyla Zamora to let her know she was ready to work again.
