With that, the screen closed. The city was outraged. Riots and screaming rippled through the Novice Village as people debated what was happening.
Zen looked down with a disgusted expression. "Why are they so up in arms about things they can’t change?"
"Well, it is jarring. We were all living normal lives till now," Thalia said. "So of them probably believed in the back of their minds they’d go back to that."
Ding!

"Oh! We got into the top five," Nirvana exclaid. "We’re getting the gold-grade chest!"
They exchanged high-fives and congratulations, but Faust couldn’t help but notice the sad look in Thalia’s eyes.
His mind was drawn away from that as a chest appeared in front of Faust. It materialized with a burst of silver light. The shiny, tal-plated chest blocked his view of the other side of the table with its size.
Nirvana’s treasure chest was gold-plated and a bit smaller than his.
[You have been rewarded a Platinum-grade Treasure Chest.]
[Platinum Treasure Chest: May contain the following rewards: Origin coins(1000- 5000), Skill stones(0-20), Enhancent stones(0-20), 1x Platinum All-attributes potion, 1x Platinum Random attribute potion, 1x Skill fusion stone, 1x Equipnt Fusion stone, 1x Skill Grade Enhancent stone, 1x Equipnt Grade Enhancent stone, Level fragnt(0-5), 1x Crystallized race matrix.]
[Note: chances of getting items decrease further down the list.]
’Not for ,’ Faust thought with a smirk. He leaned over to Nirvana and said, "Let see if I can open your chest for you. I’ve got pretty good luck with these."
Nirvana blinked but shrugged and handed the chest over to him without a second thought.
He intended for only her to hear that, but Thalia leaned in from the other side holding her Iron-grade treasure chest.
"Really? Let’s test that," she said.
The others leaned over too with interested looks.
Faust sighed; he didn’t really care if anyone knew what his system was. Zen and Spider had told him about their own systems, after all. But he didn’t want to offer his services for free.
So he charged them for each opening.
He would take things that ca in more than one, like skill stones and level fragnts. He was a bit interested in the Crystallized race matrix, since only Gold-grade chests and above had them, but he didn’t know enough about them yet.
In addition to that, he knew the quantity of everything the others got. The main difference between a Gold-grade chest and a Platinum-grade chest was the grade enhancent stone.
In total, he got one thousand Origin Credits, six more skill and enhancent stones, and two level fragnts.
He didn’t take anything from Nirvana, a fact she smugly repeated to Thalia. In total, he would have twenty-seven skill and enhancent stones and seven level fragnts when he opened his chest.
With an eye-roll, he did just that.

First, he downed the Platinum All-attributes and Agility potions. Their sickly sweet taste was dulled by how quickly he took them. Faust could swear it was worse than the Silver-grade potion.
[Constitution: 230 > 260 ( 90)]
[Strength: 230 > 251 ( 180)]
[Agility: 331 > 403 ( 50)]
[Spirit: 311 > 351 ( 40)]
[Combat Power: 920 > 1100 ( 230)]
An almost two hundred point jump in combat power ca with a rush of energy. He was lighter suddenly. Every detail of his surroundings was sharper. He could feel the flow of breath and energy of the living things around him.
’That was a bit addictive.’
Now he had a real problem on hand: how to use his fusion and grade enhancent stones.
If he upgraded an equipnt before he fused it, did that make it stronger?
Or was it a better idea to fuse the equipnt with sothing else, then upgrade?
Whatever the final result was, Faust was going to use the grade enhancent stone on it to make it Gold-grade.
’Wait, will I be able to use it if it’s Gold-grade? The requirents will be insane.’
Silver was already pushing it for a player at bronze grade I.
But he did have an equipnt with no requirents: the Moon Leviathan armor. If he took it to Gold-grade, he would bypass the requirents and have a weapon far beyond what anyone else could use.
So, fusing so other stuff and saving the Grade enhancent stone for his armor beca the plan.
For his skills, he wanted to fuse Flowing Viper and Rage Strike, then upgrade it to make sothing ridiculous.
First, he wanted to check the Level fragnts and Race matrix.
[Level Fragnts: Combine five to increase your level by one]
[Crystallized Hydra Matrix: Contains the DNA of the fearso multi-headed beast. Can be used in Magic circles, potions, and race advancent quests]
Faust smiled a little. These were damn good. He didn’t know how he felt about changing race to beco a seven-headed monster, but he was open to progress.
Okay, maybe not that kind of progress, but he’d keep it and see how things went.
First, he used his level fragnts. They were crystallized rainbow shards he pulled out of his bag. When he pressed five of them together, they ford a rainbow star with a 1 on it.
He poured his mana into it, and it shattered and flowed into his body.
[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 9!]
[You have gained 5 points in all attributes, and 5 free points to distribute.]
