Fear flashed across her eyes.
The light on her face resembled fear, yet also held traces of hatred.
This man had ruined her, and now he aid at the Ye Family. Did everything she cared about have to be destroyed by his hand before he would be satisfied?
Ye Mingi clenched her fists tightly, wishing she could pierce a hole through the person on the screen.
"Beep beep—"
The sudden alarm startled everyone in the office.
"Situation alert, everyone be vigilant, lock onto the source of the alarm." Ye Mingi’s nerves tensed, and she quickly stood up.
Just as she stepped on the floor, a sharp pain in her ankle reminded her of her sprain, and she fell back into the chair.
"Miss, we’ve found it, it’s in Zone Two, right where Mr. Jin is. The alarm must have been triggered by him, security has already been sent there imdiately."
The assistant said excitedly.
Hearing that soone had already gone over, Ye Mingi breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Soon, the security team brought a sneaky man into the surveillance room.
Following them was a grim-faced Jin Chenye.
"Who is this person?" Ye Mingi stood up from the chair, supporting herself with the table.
"Soone trying to tamper with the food." Jin Chenye kicked the man down, his gentle deanor replaced by a cold harshness, "Call the police, capture the recent surveillance footage and hand it over to the authorities."
"Yes, Mr. Jin."
The security personnel following Jin Chenye imdiately dragged the man out.
"Have you found any other suspicious individuals on the monitors?" Jin Chenye turned his head to look at the stunned Ye Mingi, his voice softened.
Perhaps it was the first ti seeing Jin Chenye hit soone, Ye Mingi was shocked for a mont before she could react.
"Yes, the most suspicious person is Yu Xiuzhun. However, he has been in the main hall of the venue all along, seemingly not heading to the dining area." Ye Mingi pointed at the monitor.
"Such a cautious person, how could he personally take action? He must be here to divert attention and provide cover," Jin Chenye snorted coldly, the fierceness in his eyes suddenly appearing.
If he hadn’t anticipated soone making a move during this ti and hadn’t prepared extensively, this poisoning attempt could have utterly ruined the reputation of the Ye Family’s restaurant.
"Once the police investigation results co out, imdiately release a statent letting consurs know that the recent issues at Ye Group are not due to the enterprise’s managent but intentional sabotage. Calling for public oversight while trusting us to handle this entrapnt."
"Also, notify all catering departnts to be extrely vigilant, preventing any unknown individuals from coming into contact with the food ingredients intended for today’s food exhibition."
"Furthermore..."
Jin Chenye stood elegantly, his commands clear and forceful.
His gentle eyes twinkled slightly, his gestures seemingly able to orchestrate grand strategies.
Ye Mingi was srized; she had always thought Jin Chenye was a gentleman, his speech even when angry never too harsh.
Today was the first ti she saw him angry, the first ti she realized how alien yet so admirable he could be when assertive.
"What’s wrong with your foot?"
Jin Chenye watched as his assistant conveyed his orders, then turned to look at Ye Mingi.
Spotting her slightly elevated ankle, he frowned.
"Walked too hastily, accidentally twisted it." Like a child who had done sothing wrong, Ye Mingi guiltily lowered her head.
