"Miss Ye, Mr. Yu is right, the X-ray shows that your bone is not dislocated, you don’t need any bone setting, just a simple fixation. Don’t strain your foot for a few days, and the swelling will subside."
The doctor explained seriously after checking the X-ray.
"..."
It really wasn’t dislocated.
How could Yu Xiuzhun know how to read these things?
Mingi felt embarrassed and awkwardly fiddled with her hair.
"So I can’t walk these few days?"
"You could walk, but it would be best to use crutches first. Don’t strain this foot to avoid making the injury worse," the doctor put down the X-ray, quickly wrote a prescription, and handed it to the nurse next to him to fetch the dicine.
"Also, get her a pair of crutches," Yu Xiuzhun suddenly spoke.
After receiving the items, he handed them to his assistant and carried Mingi out of the hospital.
It was almost two o’clock in the morning and the night wind was sowhat chilly.
Mingi couldn’t help but shrink her neck. The next second, she saw Yu Xiuzhun stop in his tracks, tightened his coat, and covered her with it before he picked her up again and got into the car.
"I want to go ho," Mingi whispered as soon as she got into the car.
Her voice was low, carrying a hint of grievance.
"Didn’t Su Yiru wean you off? A grown-up like you, always wanting to go ho to mommy," Yu Xiuzhun chuckled at her, knowing full well what she feared, yet he deliberately placed her on his lap.
His large hand caressed her waist, occasionally pinching it.
Mingi was nervously biting her lip, afraid that he would disregard the fact that there was soone in the driver’s seat and just take her right there in the backseat of the car.
"Yu Xiuzhun, it’s late, I can’t not go ho day after day, my mom will definitely notice sothing’s wrong," Mingi said restlessly looking out of the car window as soon as she saw he didn’t respond.
"Then just tell her, you’re staying here with , I don’t mind," Yu Xiuzhun let go of her, crossing his hands behind his head, looking unconcerned.
"But I mind!" Mingi bellowed, frustrated by the man’s nonchalant attitude.
What did he take her for?
Going in and out of his villa like this every day, it wouldn’t be long before people would start noticing, and all sorts of rumors would start flying.
The re thought of people linking them together made Mingi’s back shiver uncontrollably.
The last person she ever wanted to be associated with in her life was Yu Xiuzhun.
"So reluctant to be my woman?" Yu Xiuzhun pinched her chin, his long fingers tapping on her red lips.
"..." Mingi bit her lip, keeping silent.
She knew he didn’t want to hear a refusal, but she also didn’t want to go against her will to please him, so she chose not to speak at all.
When the car stopped, Mingi was completely stunned.
"Weren’t you saying you wanted to go ho, waiting for to carry you out? So won do like to say one thing and an another?"
"..."
Mingi jolted and quickly reached out to push the car door open.
She even forgot to take the crutches and just got out of the car directly.
Her wrist was forcefully grabbed.
Yu Xiuzhun followed her out of the car, "Your dicine."
"You’re the one who needs dicine!" Mingi retorted inwardly, facing the man’s uncompromising gaze, she compliantly accepted the bag he was holding.
The assistant had already stepped out of the car first, bringing the crutches to Mingi.
"Thank you."
Mingi took the crutches and politely thanked him before she moved inside leaning on the crutches.
Yu Xiuzhun watched her retreating figure, raised his eyebrows slightly and cast a sideway glance at the assistant.
Why did he not receive a ’thank you’ for carrying her in and out of the car, yet when the assistant just handed her a pair of crutches, she thanked him so readily?
