Capítulo 2144: Chapter 2144: The Content Seems Incomplete
The little body didn’t cry even when it fell over, steadied itself with a hand on the ground, then carefully continued walking.
Halfway through the crawl, finally too tired to continue, it started to appeal to Dan Hanjie to carry it up onto his shoulders.
“Qin Youxuan, your son treats like a porter.” Dan Hanjie hoisted the little guy onto his shoulders, reached out to clasp Qin Youxuan’s wrist, pulling her to his side.
“He’s your son.”
Qin Youxuan turned her head and gave him a slight smile, playfully responding.
The atmosphere instantly lightened considerably.
“I actually have never understood, Dan Hanxi left so peacefully. He clearly had decided to let go, so why would he still help Yu Xiuzhun, aiding him in evil?”
Qin Youxuan stood in front of the tombstone, quietly gazing at the handso features of the man engraved there, her bright cat-like eyes dimming.
Scenes from Dan Hanxi’s last monts flashed through her mind repeatedly in the chilly wind.
No matter how she thought about it, she couldn’t believe that Dan Hanxi would truly help Yu Xiuzhun harm them. Where did it all go wrong?
Was it really just because he wanted to repay a debt to Yu Xiuzhun?
“Little Piggy is handso, too.”
As soon as Little Tingye saw the photo, he pointed at it with a small finger, pouting his small lips, wrinkling his little brows.
He stared intently at Dan Hanxi’s photo, as if contemplating who was more handso, him or little uncle.
“Does Tingye like little uncle?”
Qin Youxuan reached out to hug her son into her arms, looking down at his delicate little face.
Perhaps because they were brothers, Dan Hanxi and Dan Hanjie had so resemblance, and although Tingye was young, he didn’t reject him.
Every ti Qin Youxuan ntioned little uncle, he would listen intently.
“Like, has eyes.”
The little guy said, his chubby hand reaching for his neck, lifting the small pendant hanging there, trying hard to bring it up to his eyes.
The oval small wood carving was shaped like an eyeball, exquisitely crafted, with inscriptions that resembled a complex vine winding around it.
Qin Youxuan had studied the inscriptions out of boredom, and eventually found Dan Hanxi’s carvings strange, no matter how she checked, the content seed incomplete.
However, the aning could be discerned, similar to blessing a child for safe and happy growth.
“Little Piggy, give it to the baby.” The little guy bowed his head, grasping the small pendant with both hands, asking Qin Youxuan to take it off for him, crouching happily to play with it.
The oval small wood carving brought to his eyes was almost the sa size as his big, black eyes.
The little guy twirled the wood carving, his sly big eyes blinking, full of cleverness.
“Tingye’s eyes are very beautiful; they are eyes that can speak. Rember to look at them when in despair, see what he tells you.”
Dan Hanxi’s words to her before he died suddenly flashed in Qin Youxuan’s mind, leaving her montarily stunned.
She froze for a few seconds, then turned her head to stare fixedly at the little guy in front of her, her gaze shifting back and forth between his eyes and the small wood carving in his hands, sothing passing through her mind she couldn’t quite catch.
“What’s wrong, suddenly not speaking.” Dan Hanjie walked to her side, pulling her into his embrace, cradling her face with his large hands.
The cold touch of his fingertips made him frown in displeasure.
“Is the wind too strong? Why are you so cold? Let’s go back now.”
“No!” Qin Youxuan suddenly grabbed his arm, her voice carrying an unrecognized tension, “Dan Hanjie, Dan Hanxi must have left sothing behind.”
