"Rui Hui, are you okay? Where did you hit yourself? Let see!" Duke held her shoulder, looking at her pale little face, eager to check on her.
"..."
Rui Hui raised her head, wanting to say she was fine, but her chest was so tight she couldn’t speak, holding her breath as she looked at Duke.
Before she could gather her thoughts, she heard an angry shout beside her ear.
"Take your filthy hands off!"
Diwu Zexuan didn’t know when he had returned, holding a cup of hot milk and a piece of cake. Seeing Duke clutching Rui Hui, he imdiately rushed forward to hit him!
This shaless man, he’s simply asking for it!
Diwu Zexuan placed the cake and milk on the table, turned his tall body with absolute nace and coldness, strode forward, and pushed Duke aside, glaring at him nacingly.
If he weren’t so worried about Rui Hui’s health, he would have made Duke regret it today!
"I’m fine, just feeling uncomfortable from hunger." Rui Hui stood between the two, looking at Diwu Zexuan, whose face looked worse than hers, speaking weakly, her small hands twisting together.
"Besides being hungry, do you feel any other discomfort?" Diwu Zexuan’s eyes narrowed, his attention quickly shifting from Duke. He lifted Rui Hui up in a princess carry, walking straight to the chair.
He sat down first, then carefully placed her in his lap.
Taking the milk with a large hand, he tested the temperature before bringing it to her mouth.
"Take a sip first, then eat so cake to ease your stomach. There’s no porridge here; I’ll make so for you when we get back."

Rui Hui blinked, obediently reaching out to take the milk from him, her eyes darting around the room.
Seeing Duke still standing by them, her eyes flickered, a hint of regret passing through them.
Why did Duke have to hide behind her for no reason, blocking her way? Now she missed the best chance to escape, and with Diwu Zexuan back, how could she get away now?!
"Don’t like milk? Why aren’t you drinking?" Diwu Zexuan didn’t notice her wandering thoughts, thinking the milk might still be hot since she wasn’t drinking it. He took it back and tested it again.
"The temperature is just right. If you don’t feel like eating, I’ll take you back now."
"I’ll drink!"
As soon as she heard the word "back," Rui Hui’s nerves tightened. She quickly took the milk from him and gulped it all down.
Hurriedly putting down the cup, not waiting for Diwu Zexuan to speak, her little head turned, looking at the cake he had brought.
Just as she was about to reach for it, a wave of nausea hit her chest again.
She bit her lip tightly, stopping her actions.
"What’s wrong, feeling unwell sowhere?" Diwu Zexuan’s eyes tightened, just about to check her pulse, when Rui Hui’s arm dodged away, her eyes a bit flustered.
Her little head burrowed into his chest, rubbing like a little pig.
"It’s all your fault, rushing , drinking too fast, now I’m nauseous!" Rui Hui’s voice was low, with a hint of grievance, her small hand ford into a fist, lightly pounding on Diwu Zexuan’s chest.
Diwu Zexuan’s body stiffened instantly.
His enchanting eyes, glowing with strange lights, looked down at the little woman in his arms.
It felt as if sothing was brewing in his chest, about to burst out the next second.
He’d forgotten how long it had been; ever since they started their cold war, Rui Hui hadn’t acted so spoiled with him.
