Just like that, a disaster that was supposed to affect the entire world quietly disappeared. As per the agreent, Taraxin used his Pokeball to pack the entire base into the four-dinsional space, from top to bottom. Whether it’s thrown into a museum or a dump at the end of the universe, that’s none of Duanmu Huai’s business. As long as it’s not on Earth, it’s all the sa to him.
To others, Duanmu Huai just inexplicably went away for a few days and then returned. When asked, he simply said that the matter was resolved and nothing’s wrong. He continued eating and drinking as usual. While everyone was a bit curious, they wouldn’t press further on such matters.
Since Duanmu Huai was back, the concert naturally was back on the agenda. Perhaps eting with Taraxin gave him a reason, but Duanmu Huai started to accelerate things.
He imdiately decided to conduct a nationwide tour, with the final concert at the Tokyo Do—finishing it all in one go! For the next month, do nothing but this!
Everyone was surprised by Duanmu Huai’s plan... not because of the tight schedule, but because it was unexpected for Duanmu Huai to take work seriously.
Although Fukawa Shoko and Ruoya Mu hadn’t been with Duanmu Huai for long, they knew Duanmu Huai was a lazy guy who would rather lie than sit, and could sit rather than stand. With his temperant, holding one concert in a month was possible. And now, he’s planning a nationwide tour, ending at the Tokyo Do?
"Not performing at the Budokan?"
Though the Tokyo Do is more prestigious than the Budokan, the Budokan is legendary and has historical value. Fukawa Shoko was sowhat attached to it, and the Tokyo Do as a starting point seed too high. It’s like skipping the national tournant to jump straight into the World Cup finals.
Is there no buffer or groundwork in between?
"I’ll give the Budokan to Ruby; it’s more important to her."
Duanmu Huai waved his hand.
"We’ll just go to the Tokyo Do."
"..............."
Are we not competing nationally but bringing back an Olympic gold? What’s the logic?
In fact, renting the Tokyo Do isn’t difficult; all it takes is money. Also, holding a performance at the Tokyo Do doesn’t require one to reach finals like in football to be eligible—if you have the money, you could even rent the Tokyo Do for a karaoke event.
So why do performing at the Budokan and Tokyo Do beco milestones in the entertainnt industry? The reason is simple—audience size.
The Budokan standard seating holds fourteen thousand people, while the Tokyo Do holds fifty thousand.
When bands start out, they usually have only tens to hundreds of viewers. If a concert draws three to five hundred attendees, it’s considered successful. Having thousands at a live concert ans you’re at the top tier.
If a band has only two to three hundred fans, what can they do at the Budokan or Tokyo Do? Not even cause a ripple!
Fourteen thousand seats with only three hundred present—how is that different from Hell?
To perform at the Budokan, the perforr must have the influence to attract fourteen thousand people live.
So, it’s not reaching the Budokan that makes you a superstar, but having superstar influence that prevents an empty show at the Budokan.
The sa goes for the Tokyo Do.
Just because you have fourteen thousand loyal fans doesn’t an you’ll successfully hold a concert at the Tokyo Do. Unlike China, Japan has fewer people, and fans are scattered nationwide. Many would have to take the Shinkansen or drive to the Tokyo Budokan, aning a minimum number of loyal fans is needed to fill the venue.
But it’s a tough feat.
Even when Xingye Ai’s B-Komachi was at its peak, performing at the Budokan was a carefully considered decision.
And despite Ruby’s B-Komachi backed by Duanmu Huai’s resources and strong support from Strawberry PRO, it took over two years to reach where they are now.
Fukawa Shoko wasn’t aware of this before, but while working at Strawberry PRO assisting B-Komachi, she learned so of the realities, making her naturally anxious now.
"Is this really okay? Can we perform at the Budokan?"
Money isn’t the issue; Fukawa Shoko worries if they can attract fifty thousand attendees.
Imagining a silent and empty Tokyo Do performance, Fukawa Shoko felt psychological distress.
"Don’t worry, online tickets sold out imdiately; if I hadn’t reserved over a hundred for internal use, there wouldn’t be any left."
"That’s good........."
Hearing Duanmu Huai’s response, Fukawa Shoko breathed a sigh of relief. They wouldn’t face an empty venue but rather one packed with fifty thousand people....
Imagining this scene, Fukawa Shoko turned pale.
This leap is too great!
Sure, no audience is bad, but having full seats is equally daunting!
However, what surprised Fukawa Shoko the most was......
"Are we really that popular?"
It wouldn’t be surprising if Duanmu Huai appeared, considering he’s a national star with undeniable charisma.
But he didn’t appear, and no one online is leading that narrative...
"Xiao Xiang."
While Fukawa Shoko was puzzling over this, Ruoya Mu tugged at her sleeve, bringing her back to reality from the shock of performing at the Tokyo Do.
"Oh, right, Duanmu, there’s a strange video online."
"A strange video?"
"Yes, it’s been around recently."
As she spoke, Fukawa Shoko took out her phone and played a video. Duanmu Huai leaned in curiously to watch.
It seed like an online MV, with simple scenery. The peculiar thing was the song being humd inside—it was quite similar to the hymn sung by Duanmu Huai. It might sound quite impressive at first, but Duanmu Huai recognized it imdiately as a mimicry.
"Is there a problem with this?"
Duanmu Huai didn’t see any issues because he had openly shared Tower Language online, along with its grammar, word anings, and pronunciation, encouraging others to create their own songs using it. After all, Duanmu Huai understood that to generate buzz, the audience needs to participate.
Just like the viral leek-spin woman—only when players create their own renditions does it gain relevance and vibrancy.
Of course, these things are complex; not everyone can compose, but with so many online, there are bound to be a few skilled individuals, right? Duanmu Huai had seen so songs others composed using Tower Language; while they had the flavor, they sounded nonsensical. Such things wouldn’t get any response from cha Spirit.
This person’s creation was slightly better than the previous ones, but just marginally.
"The problem is here."
Fukawa Shoko pointed to the comnts section below the video, and Duanmu Huai glanced over, raising an eyebrow.
"They think this person is ?"
Indeed, that was the amusing part—many comnts in the section suspected the video’s creator was the mysterious lead singer from the concert... because the voice and vibe were similar.
"Sothing this trivial, and you need to tell ?"
"Actually... it was Mai who wanted to inform you."
"Mai?"
"Yes."
Fukawa Shoko nodded at Duanmu Huai.
"She said many online believe this person nad Shirai Kiri is our lead singer, or rather, they think Shirai Kiri is you."
"..............."
Upon hearing this, Duanmu Huai paused for a mont before suddenly understanding.
If it were anyone else delivering this ssage, Duanmu Huai would think it was a young girl’s overactive imagination. But if Sakurajima Mai warned him, he knew what she ant.
Adolescence syndro.
Duanmu Huai hadn’t forgotten that in this world, there’s a strong inclination towards such matters; like when Sakurajima Mai thought she should disappear, she really did vanish. And then there was the film club—they thought their footage was terrible, wanted it to be nonexistent, and those actors were all gone.
So what does this an now?
If enough people believe he is this Shirai Kiri, will he beco Shirai Kiri?
This makes no sense, right?
"Wouldn’t this be bad? Should we co up with a plan?"
Fukawa Shoko might not know about adolescence syndro, but she also saw it as a problem—currently, Duanmu Huai performs masked, and if soone really jumped out claiming to be Shirai Kiri, would everyone think they’re the lead singer? At that point, to refute them, he’d have to reveal his face... Could this be a kind of overt plot?
"Ignore it."
Duanmu Huai thought for a mont and decisively made a choice.
"No matter how many people jump out claiming, they can’t possibly perform at the Tokyo Do."
Even in the worst-case scenario, if soone did want to take advantage, it’d depend on whether Duanmu Huai approves.
As the Judge, he’s quite skilled at making others disappear without a trace.
