Upon hearing Ji Youzhi’s words, Xiaosuisui and Yun Kuo involuntarily looked over at him. Yun Kuo didn’t say anything, but a trace of worry appeared in his eyes.
Xiaosuisui pouted discontentedly. "Uncle Qi, you’re the Divine Hunter. We should be asking you these questions, not the other way around!"
A twitch tugged at Yun Kuo’s mouth. Wasn’t the issue now what ought to be done about these people?
Yun Kuo voiced his concerns, "These people have all been assimilated by the Witch Power. In the future, they are bound to be used by the Great Wizard of Nanjiang. This could lead to chaos everywhere."
Xiaosuisui nodded in agreent. "Uncle Yun Kuo is right."
Ji Youzhi seed sowhat troubled. "Just in this Mountain Cave alone, there are already five to six hundred people. If you add up the three Mountain Caves, that’s over a thousand people. If we were to kill them, that would an taking thousands of lives!"
Thousands of lives—who could possibly make such a decision?
On the other hand, even if they could harden their hearts and kill all these people who have been assimilated by the Witch Power, when would it end?
"I do have an idea." At that mont, Yun Kuo suddenly spoke up.
Both Xiaosuisui and Ji Youzhi turned to look at him and asked simultaneously, "What’s your idea?"
After asking, they saw Yun Kuo shake his head and reply reluctantly, "I may be getting ahead of myself. It might not work!"
"Cousin, if you have an idea, feel free to share it. How can you know if it will work or not if you don’t say it out loud?" Ji Youzhi prompted.
At Ji Youzhi’s words, Yun Kuo responded, "I simply had a sudden feeling, but chances are it won’t work."
"Uncle Yun Kuo, were you just thinking about Princess Ata?" Xiaosuisui asked.
Taken aback at her words, Yun Kuo covered his face with his hands. "I forgot, you have mind-reading abilities!"
Xiaosuisui blinked her eyes and said, "I think I know what you’re thinking!" She looked particularly mischievous.
Ji Youzhi was clueless and so redirected his gaze toward Yun Kuo.
Upon seeing his puzzled expression, Yun Kuo explained with a wry smile, "I was just regretting that Princess Ata is not here. If she were, she might have a way to solve the problem with these people."
"Cousin, are you saying that because Princess Ata has practiced Witchcraft since she was young, she might be able to solve these people’s problem?" Ji Youzhi asked.
Yun Kuo nodded affirmatively, stating, "It’s not that she might be able to solve it, but that she definitely will be able to!"
Both Ji Youzhi and Xiaosuisui looked at him puzzled, asking, "Why?"
"Have you forgotten? Princess Ata once admitted that she had voluntarily deprived herself of her own Witch Power, then started practicing Witchcraft again from scratch."
Both Xiaosuisui and Ji Youzhi widened their eyes, which glead with excitent as they exclaid, "That’s right! This could work!"
Both were ecstatic, but Yun Kuo let out a helpless sigh. "It’s just a sha Princess Ata isn’t here, and we don’t know how to help these people dispel their Witch Power.
"Maybe we could take so of them back to the Central Plains and let Princess Ata take a look. Let’s try to dispel their Witch Power first.
"If we’re successful, we’ll return and help the rest. If not..."
If not, they would naturally return to kill these people anyway. Otherwise, these potential pawns would likely bring calamity upon the world, becoming powerful pieces in the hands of the Great Wizard.
Just as Yun Kuo was thinking this, he heard Xiaosuisui speak. "That’s way too much trouble! I don’t need to go back. I’ll just ask Princess Ata directly."
Having said this, she pulled out a tiger skin rug from her sleeve. This was sothing her third aunt had randomly grabbed from Bright Moon Pavilion and hastily stuffed into it.
Ji Youzhi imdiately helped her spread out the rug and stood guard as she prepared to sleep.
Yun Kuo watched Xiaosuisui and Ji Youzhi’s peculiar actions, a puzzled frown on his face as he asked Ji Youzhi, "Cousin! Is Suisui tired? She needs to sleep now?"
Yun Kuo was completely confused. They had flown for many days on the Cyan Dragon’s back to find Wangwu Mountain. During this ti, Xiaosuisui had continually taken snacks out of her pouch to munch on. Occasionally, Ji Youzhi would even catch so fish and shrimp from the sea, allowing Xiaosuisui to roast them herself with a fire talisman. Xiaosuisui spent her ti riding on the Cyan Dragon’s back either eating or sleeping; the Cyan Dragon protected them well, ensuring they didn’t fall off.
Logically, upon making this discovery, shouldn’t they be rushing back imdiately?
Why would Xiaosuisui want to spread out a rug and sleep now?
And Ji Youzhi is even helping her, acting like a Guardian, vigilantly keeping an eye on their surroundings!
