"Stop those wall-climbing bugs!"
Suddenly, the shout of a human guard ca from above.
The War Lizardfolk were exposed.
At the sa ti, the War Lizardfolk leader let out a sharp screech.
The climbing War Lizardfolk almost simultaneously raised their heads, their mouths filled with sharp tiny teeth opened, spraying thick dark green liquid like water arrows.
Chzzzz—!
The corrosive liquid landed on the stone platform, eroding the rock at a speed visible to the naked eye, causing the archers to feel unstable underfoot, making their aim skew a bit.
The War Lizardfolk no longer concealed their bodies, charging at maximum speed, attempting to assassinate archers and Warlock Shaman among other ranged units.
However, things did not go as planned.
Swish swish swish!
The Barbarian guards climbed up the cliffs like agile monkeys, moving as swiftly on the surface, sprinting towards the War Lizardfolk. In close combat, their war axes and heavy swords were unstoppable, quickly slaughtering and clearing the War Lizardfolk.
Rampage Strike!
It was as if flas ignited in the eyes of the Barbarians, their movents suddenly quickened.
The head of the War Lizardfolk leader flew into the air, beheaded by a single axe. However, the beast’s life was tenacious, and its sharp tail blinded the right eye of an elite Berserker.
In the silent shadows, as the Barbarian sub-leader roared in anger, a shadow erged from behind him.
Doug’s dagger sliced across the Berserker’s neck, blood gushed out like a fountain.
Gurgle gurgle...the Barbarian’s eyes widened, swinging back with an axe, but it hit nothing—the treacherous Dogman Assassin had vanished without a trace.
"Break it open!"
Ogre leader Baroque shouted gruffly.
He and the other mightiest Ogres charged shoulder to shoulder towards the huge gate, wielding heavy and tough weapons engraved with alchemy enhancent runes, striking forcefully.
Boom—!!!
A dull, heart-stopping loud sound echoed through the pass.
The imnse impact caused the whole gate to shudder violently, with dust and rubble cascading down from the top.
The heavy gate kept caving inwards, the bars groaning burdensoly. Even though it was made of tough tal and fortified with Magic Protection by the Warlock Shaman, it couldn’t withstand the Ogre’s assault.
As the Ogres’ fierce attacks continued, more rubble fell, and large cracks appeared on the gate panel.
"Hold it! Hold the gate!"
A human Warrior’s roar ca from behind the gate, mixed with the creaking sound of wood being stressed to its limit.
The archers on the cliff top were distracted by the War Lizardfolk’s venomous attack, briefly interrupting their rain of arrows.
Seizing this fleeting opportunity, the Jackal-Wolf Folk leader let out a bloodthirsty growl, "Wolves! Follow !"
No longer sticking to the wall, he dashed like a grey flash, leading the Jackal-Wolf Folk through the scant rain of arrows, rushing towards the narrow, relatively safe corner below the gate.
They were going to use their claws and teeth to tear at the spears attempting to thrust through the gaps, buying ti for the Ogres.
Thud thud thud!
Crack!
With a crisp sound, a thick gate bar snapped completely.
The gate was forced open a gap wide enough for an Ogre to slide through sideways.
"Roar—!" The Ogre leader let out a victorious roar, his massive hand gripping the edge of the gate panel, his knotted muscles bulging like granite, ready to tear away this obstruction completely.
However, just as the gate was breached,
A scorching, chaotic mix of sweat, tal, and blood scent assaulted them, causing even the Ogres to shiver with unease.
Baroque had just squeezed half of his massive body through the gap when a flowing shadow engulfed his sight!
These were not human soldiers.
They were Beastn! Elite Berserkers of the Ironblood Tribe!
They looked like devils crawling out of Hell’s magma, each towering over two ters, their sinewy muscles covered in scars, sared with dark red war paint, their vital areas protected by rough, heavy armor, while their bare arms and lower legs bristled like coiled tree roots.
In their hands, they wielded gigantic double-bladed war axes, nearly as tall as humans, their edges serrated and nicked, alongside heavy chain flails and massive hamrs with nacing spikes.
The leading Beastn’s eyes were blood-red, their muscles tensing and contracting like living things, as inhuman roars rolled from their throats.
——This was the effect of simultaneously activating Fury and Frenzy.
"Kill!!"
The thunderous battle roar of the Beastn exploded from behind the gate, almost shattering the bloody scent in the air.
Baroque was t by a war hamr whistling with sharp nace!
The hamr landed solidly on his thick chest, producing a dull thud similar to a beating drum. Baroque’s massive fra jolted wildly, the skin at his chest splitting to reveal the tough muscle fibers beneath, iron fragnts embedded in his flesh clattering.
The excruciating pain drove the Ogre into a furor.
He howled, swinging his enormous fist with overwhelming power towards the Berserker who attacked him.
Boom! The fist fell short, slamming heavily into the rock wall nearby, scattering debris.
The Berserker nimbly evaded, stepping sideways with shocking agility—the war axe in his left hand hacked into Baroque’s thick arm, the axe blade embedded deeply into the tough flesh, yet halted by the hard bone within.
Baroque grabbed the Beastman’s helt with his other hand, lifting him like a ragdoll, and slamd him ferociously into the ground, lifting a heavy foot to stomp down frenziedly.
Crack!
A bone-chilling crunch.
The Beastman’s head shattered like a rotten lon, splattering gore all over Baroque.
Yet, more Berserkers rushed in like sharks scenting blood! Hefty weapons rained down on the Ogre’s body like a storm, producing dread-inducing dull thuds.
