The entire venue was still frozen in silence.

Everyone was waiting for another outburst, another argunt.

But instead, the Yaksha Lord did sothing that caught everyone off guard.

He gave a quiet sigh and looked the Blackblood Lord straight in the eyes.

"You are right once again, my friend," he said, his voice calm, but not without emotion.

"I won't deny it. Everything you said is true. But tell , can you really bla for being selfish for my children?"

His words carried the weight of an old man who had fought too many battles and lost too many things.

"I wanted to conquer the Wild Devil Lands for them. I wanted to build a future before my ti ran out. That was my goal. That was the reason behind my betrayal."

He looked down at the small vial in his hand and gave a faint, bitter smile.

"But I failed. And since that is no longer possible, I'll accept my mistake and correct it the right way."

Without waiting for a reply, he uncorked the vial.

Gasps echoed through the crowd. Aksai's eyes widened. Even the righteous faction Lords shifted slightly in their places.

This old monster was really serious.

Then, to everyone's shock, the Yaksha Lord raised his hand and made a solemn vow.

"I, Yaksha Lord of the Mroot Yaksa Sect, pledge upon my Dao Path. After drinking this poison, I will not try to save myself. I will let death co. I swear this in front of all present, before the heavens, and under the laws of this world."

The mont he finished speaking, the world seed to respond.

A deep rumble echoed from the sky.

The bright clouds above the venue dimd. They turned gray like a storm was coming, and a sharp crack of lightning flashed above everyone's heads. It didn't strike down, but the sound alone was enough to confirm it.

The heavens had accepted his vow.

The Yaksha Lord gave a slow nod, raised the vial to his lips, and drank it all in one gulp.

For a mont, nothing happened.

Then, strangely, his face lit up. A rosy red flush covered his cheeks, like he had just tasted the best wine in the world. His aura even surged slightly, becoming stronger for a brief mont.

But those who were sharp enough knew right away—that was only a side effect.

The real poison was slow and silent in nature. The kind that killed over ti, not in a dramatic instant.

No one knew where he had gotten such a rare and potent 3rd Order poison. It was sothing most couldn't even dream of finding, let alone using on themselves. But it showed that he ant what he said. This wasn't a trick. He was ready to die.

The Blackblood Lord said nothing for a long ti.

He kept staring at the Yaksha Lord, searching for a crack, a flaw, a lie.

But there was none.

Finally, he sighed, his jaw still tight, but his expression had lost so of its edge.

He couldn't stay angry anymore. Not fully.

Because no matter how much he hated what the Yaksha Lord had done, he had to admit it—the man was decisive. Cold-blooded. Ruthless to the end. And above all, he stuck to the rules of the path they had chosen.

In so twisted way, he was even more of a true demonic cultivator than the rest of them.

The Frostbound Lord remained silent, but his gaze was no longer filled with killing intent.

The Yaksha Lord noticed the change in the Blackblood Lord's eyes.

The raw fury was no longer burning as strong, but the fire hadn't gone out. He was still not ready to forgive.

The Yaksha Lord gave a quiet, bitter smile. His voice lowered, carrying a tired tone, but one that was still firm.

"Old friend, it is only death that is dealt to us," he said. "With almost no chance of reaching the 4th realm, we were set to die anyway. Does it really matter who kills us in the end?"

He shook his head, a bit of dry laughter escaping his lips.

"Anyway, I won't be too hypocritical about what I did. I know that what I've done until now isn't enough to earn your forgiveness. All I've done is level the field. That's not the sa as compensation, right?"

He paused and then raised his hand slowly, pulling out another small vial from his storage ring. Inside it was a single pill—half red, half blue, with golden patterns dancing faintly over its surface like threads of living light.

The pill gave off a strange, warm glow. Many in the crowd could tell at once that this wasn't sothing ordinary. It was clearly a 3rd Order treasure. But it seed that it was even rarer than what its realm indicated.

"I'll offer you sothing more," the Yaksha Lord continued with a mysterious smile.

"Sothing truly precious. Sothing that has not been seen in the Dadangar Subcontinent ever since the Mad Immortal's arrival. Sothing that is a rare find even in the Shinayin Empire that lies beyond the Shiju Mountain Range.

Sothing that might help your son, Haitin, walk further than we did."

He raised his right hand and placed it over his chest.

"I swear upon my Dao heart," he said, and a faint wind stirred the air, "that this pill is one of my most cherished treasures. It is called the Spirit Nirvana Pill. I found it by chance long ago in the ruin of a forgotten sect during my early years."

His voice softened, and there was even a bit of nostalgia in it.

"I once had subpar talents too, just like many others. This pill changed that. I've already taken one and used it to break through my own limits. That is how I beca a Core Formation cultivator."

He looked around at the crowd, letting them feel the weight of his words.

"This pill improves a Spirit cultivator's Spirit Root Aptitude by one or two levels—permanently. It works on any cultivator under the 4th realm. It has almost no side effects.

And I'm offering it freely, as compensation for my actions, if the Blackblood Lord agrees to sign a peace treaty between our sects. One that holds for the next twenty years."
