The two Archmages returned full of triumph, each going back to their research and writing papers. To be cautious, Archmage Byerbo indeed consulted an Archmage from the Divination school to let him experience the effects of the ray:
“Hmm… It is indeed harmful to the human body.” The Divination Archmage, after a mont of exposure to the X-ray within his almost tangible ditation environnt, nodded affirmatively:
“When researching this, you should indeed use appropriate protective spells or wear lead clothing. By the way, can I share this ray-related information with the Astrological branch?”
After so thought, Archmage Byerbo generously agreed. Of course, both parties needed to sign a magical contract to ensure that the Thunder Horn had the right to publish the findings first; and if the Divination school published a paper ntioning this content, the source had to be cited...
“Boss! Boss! Your na is in the ’Arcane’ journal again!”
That evening, just as Garrett returned to the Mage Tower, a journal was thrust in front of him. He looked up to see Aurora, her face flushed with excitent, her hair shimring gold:
“Look at this!”

I’m not short of top journals. I was just in the previous issue of ’Arcane’, and my paper on painless childbirth was supposed to be in this issue of ’Magic’...
Garrett muttered to himself as he took the journal. The title was in large print, and Aurora had opened it directly to the relevant page:

Garrett was taken aback. The Astrological branch had done sothing significant!
The Radiant Church next door has always said that the Radiant Lord is the only god, that the sun is the embodint of the Radiant Lord, the manifestation of his divine power. If you can prove that other stars have the sa nature as the sun...
It feels like the Radiant Church would go all out to crush the Astrological branch!
Oh right, Aurora just said that my na is in ’Arcane’ again. Garrett looked down further, the first authors listed were:

Uh, alright. It’s indeed another appearance in ’Arcane’, and my na is listed alongside Cirella’s in the first author section. Also, it’s ahead of Senior Byerbo’s.
Maybe it’s because I impulsively created the vacuum tube, proving that X-rays are a new type of ray that humans can produce?
Anyway, getting another first author spot in ’Arcane’ is always a good thing. Garrett glanced further down and saw Aurora and Mage Norwood’s nas also listed in the author section.
Moreover, Lady Endorf was very generous, giving Aurora and Norwood second author spots. No wonder Aurora was so excited; being a second author in ’Arcane’!
And it’s from the neighboring school, not Evocation school’s own research, giving them a second author spot!
Garrett happily put away the ’Arcane’ journal. He then lowered his head and continued writing his paper:
"On the Necessity of Performing Cesarean Sections in Cases of Cephalopelvic Disproportion"
Hmm, this paper won’t make it into ’Arcane’ or ’Magic’. Even ’Common Mage Monthly’ might not accept it.
But he had already discussed it with Madam Exler from the Infant Care Clinic; this series of papers could be published in the dical branch of the Conjuration school’s ’dical Research’, directly made into a series...
The premise was to ensure regular submissions, one paper per month!
The pressure to keep up was enormous...
Garrett buried himself in treatnt, writing papers, and collecting data for his Blood Magic. He was so busy every day that he lost track of ti until Aurora once again ran up to him with a journal in her hands:

The research related to X-rays and electron streams was significant. The two Archmages had put a lot of effort into completing the preliminary research and writing the papers. During this process, they even consulted the reclusive Lord of Thunder—
As a result, the originally planned one-month retreat for the Lord of Thunder beca indefinitely extended; who knows how long it would take.
And the two papers, which could have been finished in half a month, missed the previous issue of ’Arcane’ and were published shoulder-to-shoulder with Lady Endorf in this issue of ’Arcane’:
