Garrett and his companions followed Archmage Byerbo off the small train and stepped into the enchanted mist at the peak of Igor Peak, where colorful orbs of light floated everywhere. Occasionally, a light orb would explode, turning into a rain of light that showered down on them.
"Wow~~~"
Cirilla's eyes sparkled with stars. Miss Silver Dragon turned her head to the left, and joyful music suddenly approached, playing right beside her; turning her head to the right, she saw magical puppets dancing cheerfully with skeletons. The whole place was bustling with excitent and joy.
Wizards, whether familiar or not, greeted Garrett's group:
"You've arrived!"
"Co and celebrate! We won the battle!"
"Co drink! Co dance! Have a dance with a beautiful lady!"
Garrett nodded to each of them, a relaxed smile gradually spreading across his face. It wasn't until they stepped into the Tower of Heaven, where the crowd thinned slightly, that he found ti to ask his senior brother:
"Has the news spread this quickly?"
"Of course! Think about how many people here can claim any connection to a legend!"
Among the wizards working at the peak, one-tenth were disciples, grand-disciples, or subordinates of legendary wizards. Anyone connected to them knew about the council's recent major actions.
Besides these individuals, anyone who wasn't completely oblivious knew the council had been active recently.
After the war ended and the legends returned, many previously confidential matters were declassified. Soon, everything that happened at the Holsea Strait, including the causes and effects, was revealed to the wizards at the peak:
The war had ended!
Victory was achieved!
The divine chains at Holsea Strait were dismantled, Capet Kingdom gained independence, and the independence of the Nevis Coalition was now certain. The Radiant Church now had two new headaches and would be too preoccupied to bother them for at least ten years!
Most importantly, all the legendary wizards returned safely, without any casualties or injuries!
Garrett, who watched the entire event from across the strait, could empathize with this deep-seated concern. He exhaled and smiled:
"As long as there were no leaks! Winning the war is indeed sothing to be happy about..."
"Then hurry up and follow!" Byerbo called back without turning his head:
"Don't dawdle; today's stage for you isn't at the entrance!"
"Huh?" I have to go on stage? Do I have to perform? Senior brother, you can't be serious!
If I knew I had to perform, I wouldn't have co!
Archmage Byerbo turned and shot him a look. Garrett shrank his neck and obediently followed. The elevator ascended, stopping intermittently as people joined in... Finally, with a ding, it stopped, and a shower of starlight fell from above.
"Star Do!"
Cirilla whispered excitedly, wanting to jump out but then pulling back. The Star Do...
She had worked here for a long ti, earning a lot of gold coins to furnish her bed. After her advancent through slumber, she had been avoiding the prophecy departnt... Now going in, would they catch her?
"Let's go!" Garrett smiled, holding her hand. "Today's a celebration; no one will make you work. Everyone will be happy!"
They followed Archmage Byerbo inside. The Star Do was specially decorated today, with a black velvet sky curtain from which starlight continuously fell.
When the starlight touched a person, it draped them in a thin veil of shimring light that constantly shifted. Cirilla laughed in surprise, raising her hand to catch the light. Garrett looked up and smiled instinctively:
The starlight infused into his body felt like drinking a cup of mint tea, refreshing his mind. What kind of spell was this?
So comfortable!
The circular hall was bustling with at least a hundred wizards, holding various wines, juices, and drinks, chatting softly. A glance showed their wizard badges gleaming gold, starting at level 11.
There were also so lower-level wizards, attractive young n and won pushing carts or directing floating trays. Clearly, they were lower-level wizards from the Tower, temporarily serving as attendants.
Garrett instinctively touched his badge. Well, he was already level 9, a level 6 Arcanist... Yes, his research level had advanced again. This level was comparable to a level 12 Archmage, no problem!
He followed his senior brother, head held high, and joined a group of fellow disciples. Soon, the do above suddenly brightened, and a beam of light guided a purple-robed Archmage down slowly:
"Everyone, we are gathered here to celebrate this hard-earned victory. Over two years ago, Lady Endorf from the Conjuration School made a prophecy, revealing the coming great famine."
"Following this, the council made strenuous efforts, guiding the situation step by step, and finally achieving today's victory. We have planted a nail on the continent, splitting the Brolin Kingdom. In the short term, the Radiant Church can no longer attack us!"
"Well done."
"This was truly not easy."
The Archmages below murmured while holding their drinks. The purple-robed Archmage smiled:
"Everyone here today contributed to the war in various ways. According to the council's consistent rules, anyone who contributes will be rewarded. Now, please co forward and receive your rewards!"
A bit of excited whispering followed. The purple-robed Archmage raised his voice:
"Courtney Goldberg, level 15 Conjuration School wizard. Risked her life setting up a magic array and interplanar artifacts outside Ostend City, luring an enemy divine descent spell. —Please enter the secret vault and choose two level 15 magic items."
A silent light gate opened. A short-haired female wizard walked out from the crowd, full of joy, and strode inside. The purple-robed Archmage continued:
"Amity Cruz, level 15 Transmutation School wizard. Personally led a team, fought on the front lines for three months, killed a level 16 Archbishop, a level 17 Sky Knight, and two level 15 Sky Knights. —Please enter the secret vault..."
"Oriana Philby, level 17 Evocation School wizard. In the aftermath of the legendary battle, single-handedly blocked the enemy, killing a level 15 Archbishop, a level 15 Sky Knight, and nurous opponents below level 14..."
"Yasa Byerbo, level 17 Evocation School wizard. Assisted the Lord of Thunder in casting the 'Scorching Fla Cascade'..."
So today’s eting is both a banquet and an award ceremony. Garrett held a small cup of vanilla nut ice cream, absentmindedly scooping it with a spoon:
I wonder if I have a share... Probably not. My achievents are small, just one level 9 and one level 12. Senior brother probably brought here to observe...
"Garrett Nordmark, level 9 Evocation School wizard. Confird the coming great famine from another angle... Proved nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are essential for plant growth, proposed the idea of synthetic nitrogen..."

Garrett looked up blankly, silver spoon in mouth. The purple-robed Archmage continued:
"Developed spinal correction treatnt, made outstanding contributions to the successful defection of the Earl of Ostend... Proposed multiple technical ideas used in siege warfare... Killed a level 9 Bishop and a level 12 Great Swordsman after the war... —Please enter the secret vault..."
So I really have a share?
