The President actually showed up!
After all, their President had always been like a god, high and untouchable. He was impossibly handso, but also impossibly cold and heartless.
He had never appeared at this kind of event before. But today, he had actually stepped down from his pedestal and walked among them.
How could they not be thrilled!
The most excited of all were the actresses present, as the President was the man they all secretly admired. Even though they were all artists signed with Aegis, they rarely had the chance to see him at the company. They never expected to have an opportunity for a "close encounter" today.
But they could only be thrilled in secret, not daring to show it openly.
It was common knowledge that the President preferred quiet over commotion, so each of them maintained the image of a serene and proper lady, smiling at him with a mix of graceful dignity and bashful coyness.
"Seth, what are you doing here?" River Sterling was the first to speak, asking with a look of disbelief.
"Just ca to have a look," Seth Quinn said coolly as he walked in, his eyes sweeping across everyone in the room.
Wherever his gaze landed on one of the actresses, her smile would grow even more beautiful, hoping his eyes might linger on her for just a mont longer.
Unfortunately, Seth Quinn showed no favoritism. His gaze swept past them all before he raised a hand, gesturing for everyone to sit. "Please, continue. Don’t mind ."
Everyone nodded in agreent, but no one sat down.
As he spoke, Seth Quinn had already reached Director Liam Keane’s side. The screenwriter sitting next to the director quickly called a waiter over to add a chair, then tactfully scooted his own chair aside.
The waiter quickly brought a chair and placed it next to Director Keane.
He then set out a bowl, chopsticks, and a wine glass before quietly retreating.
Once Seth Quinn sat down, everyone else finally followed suit.
His arrival turned the previously cheerful and relaxed atmosphere sowhat tense and subdued.
Liam Keane, however, let out a hearty laugh. He turned to Seth Quinn and said, "President Quinn, it’s truly an honor to have you grace us with your presence."
Then he looked at everyone and added, "This shows how much importance President Quinn places on our production of *A Lifeti of Splendor*. You should all be happy and liven things up! Eat, drink, and have fun. Once filming starts, we’ll all work hard, alright?"
Seth Quinn’s expression remained impassive, but his face lacked so of its usual coldness, showing a hint of softness instead.
River Sterling also chid in, "That’s right. The way you all get so timid the mont you see Seth, anyone who didn’t know better would think our President Quinn is so fierce tiger who mistreats his employees."
The director’s words had already eased so of the tension in the room, and now, hearing River Sterling’s comnt, everyone couldn’t help but laugh.
Seth Quinn poured himself a glass of wine, raised it toward the crowd, and said in a calm voice, "The director and President Sterling are right. There’s no need to be so formal. I was late, so I’ll penalize myself with this first drink. Here’s to a smooth shoot for our film and a pleasant production for everyone."
With that, he downed the glass in one gulp.
Seeing the President act so unexpectedly approachable, the crowd finally relaxed. Little by little, the atmosphere beca lively and harmonious again.
Seth Quinn set down his glass and turned to Liam Keane beside him. As if making small talk, he asked, "Director Keane, didn’t you say a few days ago that you still hadn’t found a suitable actress for the supporting role of Tina? Has that been settled yet?"
Tina was the na of that minor supporting character—sothing like the seventh or eighth female role. On his way over, he had specifically skimd through all of Tina’s scenes in the script.
