The days went by smoothly with Penelope avoiding Osvaldo all week till it was finally the day to the apprenticeship program.
Penny had woken up so early to prepare and had hurried down to the lab to get the list of everything going on and the students in attendance.
People flew from far and wide in attendance, and a particular four troubleso couple where not left behind. After nurous pleas from the Peterson’s, Maybelline and David Willard finally agreed to go with them.
Afterall, Ariana had told them only this doctor Pen can heal them from whatever they were going through. They needed to seek help imdiately.
Inwardly, Maybelline was happy she was finally going to get her solution today. Even though her Ariana does not win the competition as Doctor Pen apprentice since she had failed her dical exams and refused to sit for another, she could easily pay the doctor Pen any amount to heal her completely.
That woman was a genius of their generation and before the governnt cos to finally take her completely, because geniuses never last in the dical world. It was a known fact.
A large hall was set for the event with decorations everywhere. Ariana and Chris had arrived early to the location because she couldn’t wait to et Doctor Pen. Ari wanted to be the first, to at least tell her to help her with her fat so that she could at least start up her life.
When she arrived, she was greeted by a familiar figure speaking calmly to one of the n present. Ariana frowned.
"What is this bitch doing here?" she muttered, staring at Penny, who was conversing with an easy smile. Penny stood with her tall, intimidating bodyguard beside her, and her ever-present housekeeper, Hughes.
Chris who was standing next to his wife frowned also seeing Penny and her people after their last encounter. Those market won had dealt with him and Ariana that day, infact the only way they escaped was after Ariana scread ahs was pregnant and was losing the baby.
They had so dealt with them that day, and it’s all Penny’s fualt.
"Business does she have here?" Chris asked his other half.
"Hold my purse Chris." Ariana passed his purse over and he held it then Ari moved ahead.
Ari had planned to avoid Penny forever, after their last encounter, but the urge was too strong. Looking down on Penelope had always given her a strange sense of satisfaction.
"Bribing your way to the top, I see," Ariana sneered as she walked up to her sister. Their eyes locked.
"You ca early," Penny replied pleasantly.
"As did you," Ariana scoffed. "But unlike , you have no place here, Penelope. You’re illiterate."
She then turned to the man standing beside Penny, her lips curling.
"I’ve marked your face. If my illiterate sister sohow manages to climb to the top, I’ll personally report you to Dr. Pen when she arrives." Ari poked his shoulders with her finger as she spoke.
The man opened his mouth to speak, but Penny lifted a hand, stopping him. There was no point arguing with soone who had already decided not to listen.
"You don’t need to worry, Ari," Penny said calmly, her smile never wavering. "I won’t cheat. And I’m so happy you’re still alive, even though you’re unrecognizable." Penny said sweetly and Ariana frowned.
"Amd Ari dear, unlike you, who tried to buy her way through her final dical exams and still couldn’t pass. I don’t think you even have a place here." Ariana clenched her hands into a fist as she stared at her half sister.
She’d prove Penny wrong. She always gets the last laugh.
Penny walked away after the confrontation. She heard back to her car to prepare for the event, she had only co here to see how everything was going.
All through the drive, she had avoided speaking to Osvaldo or even looking his way. Her desires had made her forget who he really was and why they fell out. Even now, she wanted him so much, but she pressed her legs closed.
When they arrived back at ho, Osvaldo stepped down first and offered to help his penguin out of the car, but Penny slapped his hands off and went with Hughes instead. He sighed.
He still hadn’t figured out why she wanted him to cry during that ultrasound. The doctor hadn’t cried, neither had Hughes, why was she being mad at just him for not crying?
His Penguin being mad at him was driving him crazy a little. Osvaldo had no idea how to deal with won, especially pregnant once. He had tried contacting his stupid lawyer and all Timothy had to say was hormonal changes.
He said it was normal and only the father of the children can figure out a way of making his wife happy. Maybe he could use so chemicals to make him cry so that she would forgive him. He has been working on that silently and he was done already.
All he wanted now was a little ti with his Penguin, maybe after the event of today, he’ll finally have a little ti alone with her.
Osvaldo was walking behind his Penguin and Hughes when Sofie pushed passed them and rushed towards him. She flew on him and in the next mont she raised his mask and kissed him.
Penny’s eyes turned wide. The sa could be said about Hughes. Sofie didn’t just kiss her master, she was smooching his lips.
"I’m back sweetheart. And this ti, I’m not letting you go." She said and stepped down from his body.
"Penny, you know I love you and we’re sisters. I’m in love with Landon, and I want to marry him. So from now on, he’s no longer your bodyguard."
Penny opened her mouth to speak but Sofie cut in, "Before you speak, I already told father about him and convinced him I was in love with Landon." Sofie smiled sweetly.
"Our family will be here tomorrow for everything." She added.
