Even having ntally prepared in advance, Sio was still shocked by the scene. She turned her head, staring directly at the pitch-black vacuum that abruptly appeared after the sun extinguished, and even the True Dragon couldn’t help but murmur, "This is bad."
"The tower... it’s going to collapse!"
Just as Sio said.
Due to the violent shockwaves, the entire Subspace Labyrinth was shaking intensely, and the twelve towers surrounding the Dragon Bone Plaza were inevitably affected.
Even though the towers themselves were incredibly sturdy and wouldn’t topple, collapsing and toppling were different—along with the Subspace ground itself cracking and tilting, the once straight towers began to shift from their original positions.
Whoosh—Boom!
Amidst the violent gusts and seismic shocks, four of the twelve towers surrounding the Dragon Bones collapsed successively. Adding the one that was shut down first by the City of Knowledge Exploration Team, five sealing towers were wholly inoperative.
And the ’Crimson Tower’ beside Sio and the others was one of those that had collapsed.
The piercing wind howled, and the kiloter-high ga-structure toppled with no obstacle, reminiscent of a giant slashing down with a thousand-ter-long sword.
Seeing this scene, even the most thick-skinned Sio felt a chill run down her spine and turned to run.
But before running, she didn’t forget to use Spirit Energy to grab and take away the Crystal Cabinet safeguarded behind her.
Due to the malfunction of the five sealing towers, the previously immobile Dragon Crystal beca movable... yet the seal wasn’t entirely broken. What appeared to be a light Crystal Cabinet felt to Sio like dragging a mountain!
(Damn... If I had my true form... I could use the power of the dragon to take it away!)
With the roaring of the collapsing tower, Sio also beca nervous—her prosthetic body was only at the First Energy Level, and although she had Dragon Blood to withstand the Spirit Energy’s consumption, there was no way to escape unscathed from the impact of the tower’s downfall!
Losing the body and being unable to withstand ’Reactive Force’, the interference of Spirit Energy on the world would drastically decrease. Even Dragon Soul needs the prosthetic body as a ’container’ for Spirit Energy—this is the world’s iron law.
"Move! Crystal Cabinet! Why won’t you move!"
Gritting her teeth to exert all her strength, even using her physical power to push like a cart, but the speed of the Crystal Cabinet could not escape burial before the tower collapsed.
Sio originally gritted her teeth, deciding to persevere to the end, even if this prosthetic body would be smashed into pulp.
But at this mont, a hand reached out and placed on Sio’s shoulder.
"Let help too," Yisen’s voice sounded, followed by an inexplicable scorching and exhilarating feeling coming from the shoulder!
"Oh! Power, surging forth!"
At that mont, Sio suddenly felt her body and soul being activated, and the ’Dragon Blood’ in her prosthetic body began to burn fiercely, fully activated, bursting with 120% power!
At the sa mont, the rcury Spring, which had been flying alongside, ready to help at any mont, saw a mass of Spirit Energy fire materializing abruptly ignite!
In just a mont, this blaze forcibly pulled the Crystal Cabinet away from the collapsing tower’s range.
Boom!
A massive wave of dust surged, countless debris flew like bullets, but they couldn’t harm the Dragon Maiden who held up the Spirit Energy Shield.
"Thanks, Yisen."
Breathing a sigh of relief, and calming her suspended heart, Sio couldn’t help but express interest in the golden-haired boy’s abilities: "Your ability is pretty impressive—not only can it actively affect the body, but it can also activate Spirit Energy? Feels like Eclipsing Light Refining Dragon isn’t that powerful, huh?"
"No... this isn’t my ability."
But Yisen was sowhat lost, gazing intently at his hand, furrowing his brow, sensing the sudden surge of power within him intertwining all his Bloodline nerves: "I just wanted to use my blood to help activate your Origin Quality, Sio, but at that mont, I felt a violent resonance between the ’blood’ inside and the ’Dragon Blood’ inside you!"
"Huh, isn’t that normal?" Compared to the serious-looking Yisen Gard, Sio didn’t mind this, laughing and patting the boy’s shoulder: "You’re also a dragon, which ans the Dragon Blood in you resonates well with mine, causing an Origin Resonance effect!"
"No! In past research, the Eclipsing Light Refining Dragon was just an ’Ancient Sub-Dragon’."
But Yisen Gard shook his head in denial: "Although it can even devour True Dragon’s Blood, it is fundantally a parasitic creature...
