Capítulo 1541: Chapter 279: Iron, Demons, and Sublimators

“We must prepare imdiately!”

Ian’s expression was grave, yet he remained unflustered as he directly connected to the ‘Bewitching Heart’.

“Now infiltrate the Domain of Void in the Western Territory and explore the interior of the Cursed Soil.”

Ian gave succinct instructions, “The Demon Legion’s attention is entirely focused on the South Ridge, and they have no ti to stop you. You must quickly find the terrifying entity incubating within the Domain of Void, send the information to , and withdraw imdiately.”

“If there is ti, return to the two fortresses on the South Ridge border that you’ve enchanted, ensuring their loyalty to , loyal to the Silverpeak Domain… This is part of the plan.”

“This is your most important mission.”

[Yes, my lord] The Bewitching Heart responded with full vigor: [I guarantee completion of the mission]

Returning to his consciousness in his eting room, Ian connected with Scott and Green Tide: “The Iron Feather forces and the Unmanned Armor Troop prepare to deploy imdiately. Notify Marquis Barton that the Nineteenth Legion’s newly ard troops must also begin action imdiately. We need to hold the enemy at the edge of the Golden Plains.”

“Yes!”

Scott and Green Tide also grew serious; it was their first formal participation in a battle that could be recorded in the history of Terra… Regardless of the outco and scale, the Demon Legion’s first invasion of The Empire, this debut concerning the extraordinary legion, was destined to be chronicled in history.

And the response from the South Ridge would decide whether the Demon Legion would be a demon king bringing despair and terror to all, or an overhyped clown—who would be the protagonist of this debut remained unknown.

Green Tide would head to the Iron Feather squad to gather her subordinate squad captains. Their mission was to ambush the enemy’s rear and destroy the Demon Beast Incubation Pool.

Scott would be responsible for checking the current resource situation within the territory and sorting out the situation. Sio would soon be able to connect with the Heart of Terra; he needed to ensure that the Unmanned Armors under Sio’s control could be dispatched imdiately. And once the war officially began, he would summarize and compile the territory’s public opinion propaganda and the intelligence from the Heart of Terra.

Additionally, Ian instructed Scott to prepare a team to eliminate the Magical Beasts near the human settlents—even if there might be so accidental killings, they absolutely couldn’t give the enemy any chance.

“Adalbert.”

Finally, Ian addressed the Domain of Void: “Are you ready?”

“Ready.” Adalbert’s voice echoed heavily from the depth of the Domain of Void, with a trace of hesitation: “But Ian, is this really feasible?”

“Do not worry.”

Ian’s lips curled, confident, “I believe my domain residents hold in great esteem.”

And so, the war began.

In mid-July of Terra Year 775, a military force composed of iron and subspace AI stepped out of their production workshop. Just like the Demon Army, this army appeared on this land for the first ti.

In the distant past, similar armies had appeared in the wars of pre-epoch civilizations. And sixteen hundred years later, the fusion of chanical knowledge from the Otherworld and local subspace technology gave birth to a brand-new existence.

The Alchemy Furnace Core behind the towering exoskeleton armor humd as it powered the nearly half-ton body to tread their paths on the earth, while new cannons, assembled by workers, exited the workshops, their bearings and tracks still slightly warm, brimming with crushing power.

And among these generally two to three ters tall iron humanoids, every few squads, there would be an armor suit nearly six ters tall, the silver-white steel armor reflecting the blinding sunlight, the scarlet cyclopean eye connected to the Domain of Void’s targeting module ensuring their infallible accuracy.

Cyclops Giant MKⅡ, a heavy firepower long-range sniper unit. Optimized from Ian’s original Cyclops Giant Armor, it could independently launch nurous heavy firepower including the Prism Cannon and Cloud Burst Bomb.

On the other side of the earth, the Nineteenth Legion of Southern Ridge, ard with Silver Peak Technology, also stepped out of their garrison amidst the resounding chis; this army was not yet fully chanized, with a large ordinary army following behind the exoskeleton troops.

This army also possessed a substantial number of armors and artillery, their primary task being to counter the enemy’s assaults on the largely presud completed defensive line.

And their adversaries were akin to a destructive army from the Otherworld.

North of Nauman City, within the small basin of deciduous forests in the southern part of the Golden Plains, this area hosts many water systems, with patches of deciduous forests swaying in the heatwave; in the past, it was a beautiful scenic spot praised by travelers.

But now, this picturesque land is ablaze.

Fire. A great fire burns from the north to the south, the timber roaring in the heatwave, while the dense horde of Magical Beasts rolls across the land like a tide, eyes glowing crimson with a stream of light, making the earth tremble continuously.

In this procession, there is a whole pack of Plains Rock Wolves, along with more than thirty Wind Corroding Giant Spiders. Those scorpion spiders, resembling steel chariots and entirely snow-white, are the Enal Scorpion Spiders, dangerous Magical Beasts that live in rock caves. Now, they are covered in colorful magical patterns, exuding an astonishing aura, surging toward the human settlents.

The South Ridge scouts watching this scene were filled with fear and unease, sweat dripping from their faces and foreheads, yet they dared not even breathe heavily.

Because these evidently demonized Magical Beasts weren’t the true source of their fear.

What truly left them feeling cold to their very bones were the Behemoths ‘slowly moving’ behind these Magical Beasts.
