Now reading: Chapter 1567 - 287: The Horns of Victory and Counterattack from Above The Sky, a Fantasy novel by Gloomy Sky Hidden God.

The dragon, is the most powerful individual being on Terra. No one even argues if they are considered a collective; people are not so idle, nor have such strong racial pride, to insist that they are mightier than dragons.

They are majestic, sturdy, and powerful. Dragons adhere to their creeds and rules, far more faithfully than all the humans on land.

Though indeed there are Mad Dragons and Wild Dragons that ravage the world, there are also Great Dragon Lords who protect places and maintain order.

People fear True Dragons, revere True Dragons, yearn for True Dragons, and long to beco True Dragons.

Thus, there exists the Dragon Worship Cult... and the True Dragon Bloodline.

But.

What about the Dragon King?

On this land, beneath this sky, among the dragons, what have the mightiest of them, the ’kings’ of dragons, done?

Just how strong are they?

This is actually a very difficult question to answer.

For the Dragon Kings almost never descend to the earth — they might act or respond once every few centuries.

But, even so, Dragon Kings absolutely avoid coming to ground, as if everything on the earth bears an unbearable poison.

So say that the Dragon Kings hail from the realm of gods and disdain everything mortal; those ancient True Dragon Kings are weary of all things earthly, to the point where they don’t want to look down upon it even once more.

Others say the Dragon Kings rule over the boundless and endless Dark Firmant; they are the kings of sunlight and moonlight. The brilliance that shines from the sky is their gaze. Just as humans will not delve into ant nests to live and eat with ants, so it is with the Dragon Kings.

Yet so say... the power of the Dragon Kings is just too overwhelming, reaching unfathomable levels.

That is why they avoid descending to avoid harming the lives below.

And now.

This very mont.

In the year 775 of Terra, on the night of July 15th.

For the first ti in a hundred and thirty years, a Dragon King has descended upon the Terra Continent!

At that mont, the Southern Ridge Continent, which had been completely swallowed by darkness, was suddenly illuminated by an infinite, dazzling radiance!

From Harrison Port to Nauman City, from the Mountain People’s Autonomous Region to the Silverpeak Domain, and even to the Agate Stone Plains, all residents of South Ridge witnessed the prophecy of the celestial fire miracle, and once again beheld a spectacle indistinguishable from a miracle—a sudden blaze of two brilliant stars atop the firmant, like two suns rising abruptly from the dawn’s darkness, their splendid and intense light equally illuminating every being in South Ridge.

Layer by layer, the clouds parted, and not only that, even the atmosphere dented downward. If viewed from a perspective beyond the planet, it would reveal two enormous sources of light originating from Dragon Island, descending swiftly toward the earth at a surprisingly rapid pace that caused the planetary atmosphere to dent rather than shatter, simply due to their speed.

In an instant, the sky turned to pure black: clearly night, yet bright as day, clearly bright as day, yet dark as night.

And in this peculiar night, two suns hung in the sky.

On the South Ridge Battlefield, Ian laughed heartily even as he engaged fiercely with the Sorrow Bell, indifferent to his Fairy Body being struck aside by its blade, while Marquis Barton, who was manipulating the celestial phenona in battle, showed no care that his power to control the atmosphere was unraveled by the aftermath of this force, and instead lazily sidestepped and disengaged from combat.

The previously enraged and agitated Sorrow Bell was also montarily stupefied. It raised its head, gazing at the light overhead, its demonic throat, nearly fully dragonized, bulged as though it wished to say sothing... yet it couldn’t speak.

On the battlefield, aside from the drones and unmanned armors fighting valiantly, even the most frenzied demons and the steadiest soldiers laid down their arms, captivated by the unusual sky above.

The Dragon King descends.

Two beings of the Fifth Energy Level, arguably the most powerful within the consciousness of the Terra World, descended onto this land wielding their unparalleled divine might.

Extending its form, the Galewind Dragon King showcased its complete form: fully rged into Terra’s planetary magnetic field, the massive electromagnetic dragon transford into countless crisscrossing bolts of thunder, hundreds of thunders roared through the light, sketching out an imposing and vast dragon of the sky that seed inconceivable—its body so imnse it could not be encompassed by the entire firmant, one could see the head but not the tail, everything hidden beyond the horizon.

anwhile, the True Fla Dragon King illuminated the entire world like a second sun, brilliant, bright, and scorching. Even sunflowers turned their heads, feverishly and devoutly saluting toward that sun.

At this mont, the two Dragon Kings simultaneously acted—casting their wills toward the Western Frontier of the Empire, toward that voided land of war and desolation, devoid of life, with only wails, bones, and decay remaining.

At this point, the Western Territory had tamorphosed into a complete wasteland. Perhaps the Duke of Solin foresaw this outco, hence his fury and condemnation of the Empire’s actions, leading him to annihilate all within his duchy, then retreat into perdition himself.

The sight of the Dragon King imbued with compassion and absolute equality and justice surveyed this land.

On this land, it is apparent that only humans have the right to wantonly slaughter other humans, and indeed, humans have rcilessly wielded deadly force against their kind over and over again.
