Now reading: Chapter 1860 - 379: Omen of the Calamity of Light from Above The Sky, a Fantasy novel by Gloomy Sky Hidden God.

The aurora flows like a river, continuously shining at the edge of the sky, and many magical beasts on the New Continent have never seen such a scene since their birth. They can’t help but look up at the sky in a daze.

"Is this... aurora?"

"Why has the sky suddenly beco so bright, isn’t it almost night after such a long eting?"

"What exactly is going on..."

Many magical beasts buzz around, asking each other in confusion, yet they haven’t noticed that on Dark Cloud Peak, the Glass Emperor Dragon was solemnly staring at the ’Silver Star’ on the top of the sky.

That wasn’t a real Silver Star, but a breach on the Cradle barrier five light-years away. Its light was so intense that even five light-years away, it was bright as the sun.

But here’s the problem—it’s five light-years away!

[How is it possible...]

Ian muttered solemnly in his heart: [If the Calamity of Light erupts now, it would have erupted at least five years ago, aning that the breach on the Cradle opened as early as Terra Year 771, right?]

[No! The Calamity of Light I saw in many paths and the Silver Sky Gateway wasn’t until at least Terra Year 780! And there are many tis when the Calamity of Light hasn’t even occurred!]

This is Ian’s most shocking realization—the Calamity of Light isn’t a disaster with imdiate results upon eruption. Even if soone detonates the Cradle now, the end could arrive faster than light to destroy Terra, turning the Tera Star into a Black Hole, but the light outside the Cradle still requires a solid five years to reach the location of the Terra Planet!

Because all strong entities on Terra have no chance to affect space-ti five light-years away, Ian always thought it might be demons, or so malicious True Dragon, or a being like The Last Echo that triggered the Calamity of Light.

But before he could uncover the truth, the Calamity of Light was about to erupt?!

He speeds up, and the Calamity of Light speeds up too?

No, wait. Perhaps it’s precisely so...

Ian focused his mind and realized that this wasn’t a true Calamity of Light.

The light impacting the entire Terra Planet was far from the extent of the Supernova Eruption’s aftermath, roughly at the scale of a solar particle storm, or massive solar flare eruption.

This magnitude could impact alchemical instrunts and electronic devices globally, disrupt all communication thods through the ionosphere, and directly knock modern Terra society back two centuries to a feudal era without Alchemy Furnaces... But that’s about it, and it won’t wipe out humans completely.

Not to ntion, Terra People now have counteractive asures—as the Imperial Capital serves as a Planetary Shield Generator, it can operate at full power, collaborating with other previous era civilization relics on Terra to protect the Terra Continent effectively.

And on the New Continent, Ian manipulated the Ladder Tree to protect key shelters, preserving most of the Magical Beast Tribe without issue—and the New Continent itself could even use this level of light to accelerate the transformation of Gaia’s ecology, knowing that Gaia’s ecology isn’t that fragile.

This level of light radiation impact... is not beyond the capability of a Fifth Energy Level.

"Suppose there is a Fifth Energy Level capable of controlling light, who has already prepared the corresponding thod in advance, gradually accumulating the power of the Calamity of Light, and then unleashing it when needed—in this way, a ’man-made catastrophe’ with so power of the Calamity of Light could be created."

"If enough preparation has been made, the duration of this man-made catastrophe might not be short, and could even invoke the actual Calamity of Light’s eruption, leaving Terra with no five-year preparation ti, but rather forcing it into a relentless struggle from the start!"

As for who the Fifth Energy Level capable of controlling light is?

It’s really hard to guess; is it the Sunbird, or the Sunbird, or possibly the Sunbird?

At this mont, Ian already had a hypothesis in his mind—in many possibilities and world lines, the eruption of the real Calamity of Light occurs both early and late, and if early, it would erupt around Terra Year 780, aning its onset was last year, which is Terra Year 775.

In Terra Year 775, what happened?

Ian’s mind went over several mories... Terra Year 775, demon invasion at Fiery Fla Land, Eternal Pathway of the City of Knowledge, and Floating City launch, many major events indeed happened during this period...

Oh! Floating City!

Ian suddenly understood—he had previously considered whether The Empire’s mass construction of Floating Cities and defense network was planning to cleanse the Thousand Star Beast’s territory, with its people hiding on Floating Cities, but because this idea was too fanciful, it was temporarily put aside.

However, in many tilines Ian has seen, several tis, the awakening of the Thousand-Star Beast is due to high-energy radiation from a Calamity of Light, which activates this dormant Spark giant god!

Could it be that everything is interconnected? After preparing the Floating City, the Sunbird promptly releases the Calamity of Light, awaiting five years of preparation, making everyone struggle due to the Calamity of Light, and then unleashes the Thousand-Star Beast to cleanse the land, finally using Yisen Gard’s ’Dark Key’ to seal the Thousand-Star Beast again, leaving a clean slate...

A series of plans have already ford, and Ian shockingly realized that if this truly is the ’Sunbird’s’ plan, once it starts moving, he has no way to resist it!

The Calamity of Light flowing at the speed of light, and the awakening Thousand-Star Beast... the only difference for Ian now compared to other Ians is that he doesn’t need to sacrifice Yisen Gard to stop the Thousand-Star Beast.

But, the event itself, he cannot prevent it!

The only issue is, why haven’t ’early Calamity of Light’ situations occurred in other tis?

Ian pondered for a while and thought it might be the ’Arcane Pathway’ that slowed down the world war, as well as...

Michael, who hadn’t imdiately raised the rebellion flag against Axel.

This was the only major difference Ian could find in nurous world lines.

In other world lines, Terra Year 775, after the major event with the Demon Legion and the City of Knowledge, Michael directly raised the rebellion flag, taking advantage of the Terra Confederation’s lack of ti to interfere with the Empire, and challenged his father Axel.

The timing was tight, right when Michael used the montum of the Floating City to sever the connection between the Abassalom Bloodline and the Nemasis Bloodline, dividing the upper and lower Fiery Fla Land.

Michael directly ascended to the Fifth Power Level, then faced off with Axel and was defeated—since then, Axel was silent in the Imperial Capital for a while and soon disappeared, resulting in the split of the Empire, as the Great Prince and Great Princess waged war with the east and west as boundaries.

Five years later, the Calamity of Light descended, the Thousand-Star Beast awakened, Yisen Gard sacrificed himself, and Ian began conquering the world, eventually subduing the Whole Terra over thirty years.

But now, Ian has already beco the king of the New Continent, yet Michael hasn’t rebelled.

Regarding this, Ian isn’t too surprised—with the Arcane Pathway, any Sublimator who wants to advance further would study it, and Michael’s goal is to challenge Axel, he certainly wants to beco stronger.

During this period, Michael is most likely still improving his Fifth Power Level form, while Axel is probably researching how to strengthen himself using the Arcane Pathway... thus, Michael hasn’t pressured Axel, leading to this ’Artificial Disaster’.

"But it could also be Michael creating the Artificial Disaster to buy himself ti? It’s all possible."

Changing his train of thought, Ian quickly grasped the key: "No matter what, the source of this Calamity of Light is definitely these two Sunbirds... Not only that, if Axel created this Artificial Disaster, then Michael must be aware of it, so he would actively take action to stop Axel’s plan!"

"Although he failed, he didn’t completely fail. At least, Axel didn’t overly interfere in the series of chaos following the Calamity of Light, perhaps due to intention without capability."

"Michael surely knows sothing!"

In fact, the last ti Ian told Michael those pieces of information and pointed out that he knew Michael had the ability to beco Fifth Power Level, he had so speculations in mind, but to conceal his identity, he didn’t ask too much.

But now, he no longer needs to hide his identity.

[All Representatives]

Retracting his thoughts, the Glass Emperor Dragon lowered its head and solemnly said: [Return to your tribes, lead your people, go to the nodes of the Ladder Tree located in various major regions to receive shelter]

[Coincidentally, I have planned territories for you, which are located on different nodes of the Ladder Tree. Rest assured, your territories are extrely suitable for your survival, far better than those you had before]

[The Calamity of Light is about to descend. Without the shelter of the Ladder Tree, you will surely perish in the wilderness, which would also be my loss]

Even though this is just the precursor of the Calamity of Light, Ian doesn’t mind using these words to frighten these Magical Beasts—disasters are always the quickest way to forge cohesion. As long as he performs exceptionally well, true unification of beasts might only be a matter of ti.

[As you command, Emperor!]

Upon receiving the command, the beasts imdiately dispersed—though the Glass Emperor Dragon cares for their tribes, they themselves cannot possibly not care, but due to the Glass Emperor Dragon’s feat of resisting a Fifth Power Level, the Subspace Network is evidently the best refuge, so they are not particularly worried.

As the herd of beasts scattered, leaving only Shasha, Pipa, Big Iron, and other beasts, Ian fully imrsed his will into the Domain of Void, calling Michael’s soul.

[Michael, I am...]

Just as he began, Ian intended to reveal his identity, but didn’t expect Michael seems to have been waiting for him, directly and straightforwardly responding: [Yes, I know, you are Ian. When you ca to talk to last ti, I thought for quite a while and finally determined it was you]

[You want to talk to about the matter of the Calamity of Light, right?]

[Don’t worry, give ten seconds, I’ll be right there]

Ian was stunned.

He knew the other party might vaguely guess his identity, but didn’t expect Michael to be so perceptive.

Moreover... ten seconds?

[No, wait!]

Reacting, Ian angrily asked: [Where exactly are you going in these ten seconds?]

[Is it the New Continent or the Silver Peak Domain? Hey, hey, hey? Answer !]

Unfortunately, Michael didn’t respond.

Ten seconds later, the second Prince of the Empire, Michael Setar, arrived at the New Continent.
