"Are you really going to start the killing? If this policy goes through, the number of people to be executed and tried will be in the tens of thousands, involving countless organizations and forces."
During the Fiery Fla Land uprising, when Adalbert and Yisen Gard arrived at Fiery Fla Land together with Ian to handle the rebels, even though he trusted Ian’s handling, Adalbert still cautiously asked, "All cris to be dealt with severely and swiftly—this can easily lead to wrongful convictions!"
Adalbert didn’t think Ian’s handling of criminals was wrong; rather, with his moral standards, he probably wished even more than Ian to capture all these human traffickers, robbers, gang mbers, and violent criminal groups promptly.
But on the other hand, he was more cautious, unwilling to mistakenly kill an innocent person when the situation could be suppressed and handled slowly.
"There are over three million people involved." Yisen Gard looked at the data carefully, furrowing his brows slightly, "You can’t kill them all, can you? Even though everyone knows they’re criminals, if you kill so many people, their bones would pile into small hills."
Putting down the data in his hand, Yisen Gard shook his head slightly, "Within a few months, killing so many people, even if they’re all criminals, would cause panic and unrest."
After a pause, he smiled brightly, "Take it slow, spend a few years killing them, or find a desolate place to throw them to toil the land, and in a few years, they’ll all rot in the ground."
Neither Adalbert nor Yisen Gard minded killing these people; the main concern was the thod and speed of the execution.
"Actually, three million people wouldn’t make a mountain, just a tiny bit." Ian replied humorously, "If you crush their bones and scatter the ashes, it’s even less."
Unfortunately, the two present either didn’t understand this sense of humor or were immune from hearing too much, so they just looked at Ian silently, waiting for him to answer seriously.
"Indeed, it’s not about killing them all."
Given this, Ian could only get serious, pulling up a light screen in front of him: "But a large majority will face life imprisonnt—that’s definite. I’ll send them to the New Continent to let them play ’life elimination ga’ with the Magical Beasts."
"The Ashen King gave the authority to know most of the criminal information within Fiery Fla Land. Many gangs there are the black glove of the Nobles and Sublimators, and these records can definitely be trusted."
"As for those criminals... frankly, with my power, I don’t even need Spirit Energy, just electromagnetic induction to conduct a mind read. Those with concrete evidence of serious cris deserve the death penalty, no doubt. As for those unclear, without evidence, or with scant evidence, I’ve already read their minds through the Heart of Terra."
"Those who should die must die, even if the number of criminals who must be executed exceeds eight hundred thousand or even a million, we must kill them."
As he spoke, Ian squinted his eyes, a cold smile crossing his face, "If these people were to survive in the new world I want to build, just the thought of it makes break out in cold sweat, making want to demolish Fiery Fla Land."
Saying this, Ian showcased ’cris’ committed by so condemned criminals to his two friends.
— Robbing a convoy, killing all seven mbers of a family over three generations, beheading the n, raping and then beheading the won, leaving none behind.
— Ho invasion and burglary, smashing a crying baby directly with a hamr, and slitting the throat of the female resident upon waking before fleeing.
— Using various thods to lure a family into debt, ultimately selling mbers with traces of rare bloodlines to a biological lab in Fiery Fla Land. The children, with limbs amputated and cultivated as breeding machines, were found at age thirty-six, with intellect equivalent to a dostic dog.
— Killing a son working abroad and impersonating his identity to defraud his hotown parents’ money.
— Manufacturing and selling neurotoxins, mixing them into daily food to create mass addiction events.
— Establishing gangs, oppressing neighbors, and collaborating with local officials to create nurous wrongful convictions and casualties.
— Faking partnership to seize the partner’s family assets and wife and daughter...
— Kidnapping infants...
In truth, this list of charges is highly summarized.
There are nurous cris that cannot be described or detailed, at least not easily summarized on a list.
But even just these most common cris in Fiery Fla Land are enough to make many ordinary people with a remaining shred of benevolence horrified, gritting their teeth, eager to see these people dead already.
Adalbert and Yisen Gard, naturally, were no exception.
"There aren’t enough execution tools."
After a mont of silence, Adalbert spoke again. Although he still raised the issue, his attitude had changed significantly, now filled with concern, "Do we need to ask Silverpeak Domain to work overti to produce a batch of execution tools? By the way, is the death penalty in Silverpeak Domain done by hanging or shooting? The Heart of Terra always catches the criminals before their cris; I’ve hardly seen any executions."
"There are both." Ian sighed, "That’s the problem, the Heart of Terra is too effective, leaving without experience in handling related matters. My counterpart in parallel space-ti has more experience, but they all execute directly, much more straightforwardly than I do."
At this point, Ian perked up and said, "Executing hundreds of thousands of people clearly can’t be done in bulk or at random. Viscount Grant once taught a very useful principle: ’Life is our asset,’ and the lives of our enemies too. Whether they’re spies or criminals, they can promote Silverpeak Domain or, more specifically, the changes I, Ian Silverpeak, want to bring to this world, and our policy ideas."
