Yu Xuan and the Elental Heaven Peak Master sat in the mansion once again.
Yu Xuan knelt in front of her throne like an extrely well-behaved disciple.
His master, however, looked down at him with a faint, icy expression.
Yu Xuan knew, there was no escaping this.
He had absolutely, definitely, without question... lost whatever tiny trust she had built in him.
After all, using soone else’s technique right in front of your own master was a cultivation world equivalent of courting death at Max Level.
Especially when that "soone else" was another top powerhouse trying to poach him.
"Do you have sothing to say?" the Elental Heaven Peak Master asked, tone calm but sharp enough to slice mountains.
Yu Xuan knew it was ti for complete honesty.
He exhaled softly and bowed his head.
"Nothing. This disciple will accepts whatever punishnt Master gives."
His eyes were clear — no excuses, no evasions.
The Peak Master paused.
Seeing his clarity, she felt her anger waver.
The Elental Heaven Peak Master stared at him for so ti, then exhaled slowly.
In truth, Yu Xuan’s talent was so monstrous that she wouldn’t even be surprised if another ancient monster kidnapped him tomorrow.
She also knew the future path awaiting him was terrifyingly difficult.
Mastering all elents was not sothing that every Zhang, Liang and Tang the cultivation world equivalent of Tom, Dick and Harry can do.
He would need countless diverse experiences, and now, she would personally teach him what it ant to walk the path of an Elental Master.
She had been guided by many teachers in her youth.
Now it was her turn to be one.
"You do realize," she began, eyes narrowing, "you’ve placed an enormous target on your back."
"The Heavenly Demons... the ones the Martial Ancestor ntioned?" Yu Xuan asked.
He was relieved she seed willing to overlook the whole ’other master’ incident for now.
She shook her head.
"Do you think the Fallen Heavens consist only of Heavenly Demons?" she asked.
"If so, you couldn’t be more wrong."
Yu Xuan blinked.
"Just like the Myriad Races of the Heavens... the Fallen Heavens, too, had countless races."
She continued, "Forget that for now. Tell , what is spiritual energy?"
"The energy present between Heaven and Earth," Yu Xuan replied.
"Yes," she nodded, "spiritual energy is simply ambient energy between Heaven and Earth. So tell , do you think it exists in the Fallen Heavens as well?"
Yu Xuan thought for a mont.
"Logically... it should, right?"
"Correct," she said. "It does."
"But the nature of spiritual energy in the Fallen Heavens is... slightly different."
"Different how?" Yu Xuan asked.
"Just as there are countless cultivation paths and countless races," she explained, "there are countless types of ambient energy. We here in the Upper Heavens cultivate a neutral, balanced spiritual energy and refine it into Qi. But the energy in the Fallen Heavens is not fully neutral.
"That spiritual energy has another na. In general, it is called Fallen Energy, though many nas exist. But in the end of the day, it is still energy."
Yu Xuan swallowed.
"And just like how our Heaven Immortal Sect is trying to recruit disciples from the Lower Realms this ti," she continued, "the races on the other side did the sa."
"But unlike us, they are not a sect. They are a coalition of races, each with their own agendas."
"And you," she pointed at him, "have just offended one of them."
Yu Xuan’s expression flatlined.
Poker-faced.
Blank.
Soul slightly leaving the body.
This was... too much.
"Then... who exactly should I be wary of besides the Heavenly Demons?" Yu Xuan asked weakly.
The Elental Heaven Peak Master folded her arms.
"The Heavenly Demons are indeed one of your primary enemies. Think of them as royalty among demonic races. Many subordinate races answer to them. When the ti cos, they will definitely target you."
Her eyes narrowed.
"But since they will be the aggressors when crossing the Great Divider, we will hold the advantage."
Yu Xuan exhaled in relief, until she continued.
"And according to the latest intelligence, the Mo Race has also sent their young elites. So be very careful. Also..." she added, side-eyeing him, "what is your history with the Blood Clan? I heard plenty from the Chaos Heaven Peak Master."
"...The Blood Clan?" Yu Xuan blinked.
"Master, what is this Mo Race? Are they strong?"
He was more confused by that than the Blood Clan.
Her eyelid twitched.
"Don’t dodge my question. First, your relationship with the Blood Clan."
Yu Xuan raised his hands defensively.
"I don’t know if it was the Blood Clan or not, but when I was at the Chaos Heaven Peak, Lingluo, my sister and I did encounter so beings from the Fallen Heavens. We... even fought a Blood Dragon."
Silence.
The Peak Master pressed her fingers to her temples.
...Of course. That old woman did ntion sothing.
So he truly had already ssed with Fallen Heaven entities.
"Alright," she finally said with a sigh.
"We’ll return to that matter later."
She straightened, expression turning solemn.
"As for the Mo Race, they are one of the most infamous races in all realms. Their cruelty is unmatched. They are the ones who spread the Demonic Dao across countless worlds. In terms of influence and sheer presence, they surpass even the Heavenly Demons."
She continued, her tone firm.
"Listen carefully. Between the Heavenly Demons, and possibly the Blood Clan, you are now on the radar of several powerhouses from the Fallen Heavens."
Yu Xuan’s imaginary soul floated even further out of his body.
The Peak Master ignored his dazed look.
"I will teach you everything you need to know about each of your new enemies," she declared.
"There is less than a year before the Gates open. Until then, I will train you personally in isolation."
Her gaze sharpened into a blade.
"No outside contact. No running around. No ’accidental’ trouble. You will remain here and learn."
Yu Xuan nodded obediently, while peeling a black caterpillar off his eyelid and placing it on top of his head.
The white-blue caterpillar remained stuck to his forehead like an overly relaxed sticker.
"Then... when will my seclusion start?" Yu Xuan asked weakly.
The Elental Heaven Peak Master blinked.
"Eh? What are you talking about?"
Her tone dropped several degrees.
"Your seclusion already started."
Yu Xuan froze.
"...Master, wait! Give a day. No, two hours. Okay one hour. Actually half an hour! Just half an hour!" he begged, watching her expression change multiple tis.
He needed at least half an hour to ssage his friends and Lingluo.
He was slightly social, just slightly.
And suddenly being dragged into a year long, closed door training without warning?
That was an old man thing.
He wasn’t prepared.
The Peak Master finally exhaled.
"...Fine. Half an hour. After that it’s just you, , and training."
Her voice dropped ominously.
"A full year."
She vanished instantly, off to gather the secret resources she had hidden for forging multiple elent cores, high-tier dicines, and other terrifying things that would probably make Yu Xuan scream during training.
Yu Xuan imdiately took out his dallion.
His fingers moved like lightning.
He furiously texted Lingluo, Ming Tiani, and the group he personally ford, [Yu Clan’s Prodigies] because obviously he was the future pillar of the Yu Clan.
While ssaging, a thought struck him.
’Right... my system updated.’
He closed his eyes and whispered in his mind:
’Status.’
A gold-black screen unfolded before him.

Yu Xuan imdiately noticed a few things.
First, The grade of his [Magic Swordsmanship of the Avalon Imperial Family] had increased again, clearly boosted by his breakthrough. Now it is D
Second.
Both his physical strength and spiritual strength had jumped far beyond what a normal Core Formation cultivator would gain.
Was it because of his Body Tempering during the Tribulation?
Or the Spiritual Tribulation rging with it?
Either way, this gave his a boost.
Third, His soul strength was still maxed out as usual, which at this point no longer surprised him.
Old Yu was a cheat code embodied.
Just as he was reviewing the details, his dallion vibrated.
The first reply had arrived.
From Ming Tiani.
Yu Xuan blinked at the ssage.
"...Eh?"
A surprise greeted him.
