"You’re so cheesy!"
Wu ngting laughed uncontrollably, straightening her body again.
Chen Feng said innocently, "You see, I told you it’s cheesy. You didn’t believe ."
Suppressing her laughter, Wu ngting shook her head, "I said it wasn’t cheesy. But what you just said was really cheesy."
"Then should I say it again in our hotown dialect?" Chen Feng said, about to feign a deep emotion again.
Wu ngting quickly hugged him, pleading, "No, no, no! If it’s already this cheesy in Mandarin, I can’t handle it in the dialect. It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have said that."
Truth be told, Chen Feng also found it a bit cheesy and, pretending to be magnanimous, said, "Good to know you realize your mistake. Don’t say such cheesy things to in the future, it gives goosebumps."
"You really don’t know how to romance," Wu ngting said with a glance at Chen Feng, yet the corners of her mouth still bore a sweet smile.
"Yes, that’s just . If you don’t like it, it’s not too late," Chen Feng said, pretending to be serious.
Wu ngting spoke solemnly, "It’s too late. I’m the kind of person who finds it hard to turn back once I like soone. You have to take responsibility all the way."
Hearing this, Chen Feng’s arms involuntarily tightened around her a bit.
The early winter sun felt warmly comforting on their bodies, and sitting on this open-air bench with the person he cherished in the long afternoon street was undeniably a kind of happiness and enjoynt.
It was also a kind of state of being, perhaps.
At this mont, Chen Feng felt elevated, as if he had reached so kind of spiritual communion with the woman in his arms.
Then, the ringtone of a phone call cut through the mont—it was Chen Feng’s.
Chen Feng had to take the phone out of his pocket, and seeing that it was a call from Sun Xiaorui, his mind cleared suddenly. Then he subconsciously glanced at Wu ngting, still leaning against him.
"Whose call is it? Aren’t you going to answer?"
The ringing persisted, prompting Wu ngting to inquire.
"It’s... Little Rui," Chen Feng said awkwardly.
"Go ahead and take it. I don’t mind."
Wu ngting said this, but her body stiffened for a mont while leaning against him, then she sat up straight again.
Chen Feng braced himself and answered.
"Brother Feng, I’m back. I’m in the car and will be there in half an hour. Aren’t you surprised?"
As soon as the call connected, Sun Xiaorui’s cheerful voice filled his ear.
Chen Feng was indeed surprised, but the surprise exceeded the pleasure. He had thought Sun Xiaorui would not return for a few more days, yet here she was, arriving early.
"Weren’t you supposed to be back in a few days? Why are you coming today?" Chen Feng asked, sowhat helplessly.
On his end, he had just established a relationship with Wu ngting, deepening their connection, when Sun Xiaorui, his lover, returned.
This also involved the issue of living arrangents.
After all, Wu ngting and Lin Wan were still living at the East Lake Villa.
If Wu ngting wasn’t his girlfriend, it would have been quite normal to find them a place quickly and have them move out.
But now that Wu ngting was his girlfriend, sothing Chen Feng admitted, it wouldn’t be right to ask her to move out.
So, what about when Sun Xiaorui returns? Should he ask her to move out?
Even though she was his kept lover, and such a move might be justified, there was a certain order to these things. And truth be told, Chen Feng did have a fondness for Sun Xiaorui, who had always been caring and attentive, making him quite reluctant to ask her to leave.
So, should they live together?
How could Chen Feng possibly broach this topic?
Sun Xiaorui might not mind or might not have the right to mind, but Wu ngting, as his girlfriend, did have the right to care.
"I was afraid if I didn’t co back soon, your heart would no longer be mine," Sun Xiaorui quipped.
Chen Feng paused slightly, then said with feigned seriousness, "My heart was never yours to begin with."
Sun Xiaorui’s voice carried a hint of wistfulness, "I know. Now that you’re dating ngting, has your heart belonged to her? A man’s heart is indeed like the weather in June, changing at a mont’s notice."
Chen Feng wasn’t too surprised to learn she knew about Wu ngting, they all knew each other, so soone must have told her.
"The world is constantly changing," Chen Feng continued, "Furthermore, not just the weather in June, even December’s weather is fickle now. Just a short while ago it was drizzling, and now the sun is shining brightly."
Sun Xiaorui chuckled and then suddenly said with a laugh, "I had anticipated a day like this would co. From the beginning, we agreed that if one of us found soone else, we would let the other go. So, are you planning to dump now?"
Chen Feng glanced at Wu ngting, who was all ears, gave a couple of dry coughs, and said, "Let’s talk about this in detail when you’re back."
"Alright. I’ll be there soon. Is ngting there too?"
"Yeah. We just happen to be at Delong Square, about to head back."
It was clear, and Sun Xiaorui undoubtedly knew that Wu ngting was by Chen Feng’s side.
"Oh, okay then. That’s all for now."
"Alright. We’ll talk when you get back."
The two hung up the phone with an unspoken understanding.
"Sun’s back, huh? What did she say?" Wu ngting asked.
Chen Feng replied with slight irritation, "Didn’t you just hear it all?"
Wu ngting’s face turned a shade redder, but she candidly said, "I didn’t hear it clearly."
Chen Feng frankly said, "She knows we’re dating now, so she ca back early. Also, she asked if I was going to break up with her."
"Oh, and what do you think?"
"That... haven’t we agreed? You said to give three more months."
Chen Feng had spoken confidently before, but now he felt inexplicably guilty.
