Due to the morning rain, which was getting heavier, Chen Feng could only stay at ho, sowhat bored, scrolling through his phone and watching television.
Wu ngting almost spent the entire morning at the small shop out front, chatting happily with Zhao Xiaolan and even helped out by selling goods and giving change.
The custors who ca to the shop were primarily the surrounding neighbors. Seeing Wu ngting sitting beside Zhao Xiaolan, they couldn’t help but cast envious looks and flattering remarks.
This made Zhao Xiaolan’s mood very pleasant, counting as one of her brighter monts these days.
Her younger son’s lack of a romantic partner since his divorce had always been a concern for her, but now not only did her son have a girlfriend, but he also had Wu ngting, such a beautiful young woman, actively coming into his life.

At noon, Zhao Xiaolan and Wu ngting prepared a full table of dishes together, once again earning everyone’s praise.

Wu ngting quickly interjected, "That won’t be necessary, Auntie. I can have noodles tonight too. These past two days at your place, I feel like I’ve gained weight. It’s better to eat light."
Chen Feng suggested, "If you want to eat light, then have so porridge. Millet porridge is quite good, along with a few side dishes."
Wu ngting promptly nodded in agreent, "Right. Let’s have millet porridge tonight."
Seeing Wu ngting agree, Zhao Xiaolan made a final decision, "Alright, we’ll have porridge tonight."
Upon hearing this, Chen Rui made a sour face and said, "Then I’ll just have noodles tonight. Mom, you can make an egg noodle dish."
Zhao Xiaolan glanced at him but said nothing.
Wu ngting, however, smiled and said, "If Brother and Uncle prefer noodles, I can make them for you."
Her offer instantly pleased Chen Dayong and Chen Rui, who couldn’t help but smile at her words.
But before they got too happy, Zhao Xiaolan authoritatively declared, "Everyone will have porridge. Why eat noodles? Ah Rui, Ah Yong, you don’t have objections, do you?"
Under their mother’s stern gaze, Chen Rui was the first to capitulate, quickly shaking his head, "No objections, no objections. Millet porridge is quite tasty too. It’s good to eat light."
Chen Dayong, of course, had even less to say.

After the al, Wu ngting helped to clear the dining table and volunteered to wash the dishes again, but this ti her sister-in-law Li Guihong got ahead of her.
Seeing this, Wu ngting had no choice but to stand down.
Then Zhao Xiaolan instructed Chen Feng to take Wu ngting out for so fun, not to stay cooped up at ho all day.
By this ti the rain had stopped, and the sun had co out.
Thus, Wu ngting suggested going out in the afternoon with her best friend Xu Shujing, who was off work since it was Saturday.
As for Bay Town, having just rained, there wouldn’t be much to enjoy.

"Qin Zhen?" Fang Xiaoyue was surprised. "The friend you ntioned yesterday was him?"
