The milk tea shop, although considered Chen Feng's business, didn't make him keen to argue with the landlord over rent increases, partly because he was lazy and didn't think much of the shop's business potential, and also because such matters were clearly extortion, or even an attempt at eviction. Negotiating with such a landlord was a waste of ti, and even if they lowered the rent, it wouldn't be by much—one or two hundred is aningless.
"Even if they lowered the increase, how much would it be? They certainly wouldn't agree to reduce by one or two thousand. Lowering it by a re one or two hundred wouldn't make much difference.
