Guo ngyao replied instantly, sharing so information about her stepbrother that she heard from her mom. In fact, she herself isn't familiar with her stepbrother at all.

Guo ngyao then switched to sending voice ssages, which Chen Feng couldn't be bothered to listen to and just ignored outright.

He turned his attention back and briefly replied to express regrets to Fang Xiaoyue, and acknowledged that Yu Xiaohui would be coming to Xiu Zhou to visit him in a few days.

Lin Yujiao, knowing his temperant, didn't waste words. She just sent a smiley face at the end and didn't type out any more ssages.

The next day ca in a flash. Around seven-thirty in the morning, Chen Feng got up on ti for morning exercise, as if his routine was returning to normal.

This ti during his morning run, Chen Feng didn't run into Hong Xiaodan, which put his mind and body even more at ease.

He ran three laps around the large neighborhood, totaling about three kiloters. Then he went ho to shower, put on a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals, and headed downstairs for breakfast.

By this ti, Wu ngting and Sun Xiaorui had already left for work.

After breakfast, he drove alone to et Lin Yujiao for a date.

For once, instead of rushing straight to the villa for so exercise, he first took her to the shopping mall.

He had previously bought so sumr clothes online, but changing them daily made them wear out quickly, so he needed to buy a few more sets. Of course, he also planned to buy so clothes for Lin Yujiao as gifts.

"Should I wear a mask?" Lin Yujiao asked Chen Feng with so concern as they were about to get out of the car in the mall's underground parking lot.

She had once participated in a singing competition show, appearing on TV and making quite a na for herself back in her hotown Xiu Zhou, where many people recognized her. She was worried about being recognized in this mall as well.

Chen Feng thought for a mont and said, "In this hot weather, wearing a mask might actually draw more attention."

"But what if I'm recognized?" Lin Yujiao asked.

Chen Feng chuckled and said, "So what if you're recognized? People might just assu we're a couple. Anyway, we're both still single now."

Lin Yujiao said softly, "I'm not worried about people thinking you're my boyfriend. I'm just afraid your other won might get jealous."

"Don't worry about it. Let's go."

After saying that, Chen Feng got out of the car. Lin Yujiao thought for a mont, then followed suit without wearing a mask.

At first, Lin Yujiao was a little nervous, worried about being recognized.

But she seed to have overestimated her public recognition, as they wandered the mall for over an hour without a single person recognizing her.

This left her feeling both relieved and a bit disappointed.

Once they had both finished shopping, Chen Feng led her out of the mall, planning to find a café for a sit-down before treating her to a nice lunch at noon.

As they took the elevator down to the parking garage, they unexpectedly ran into two acquaintances.

This kind of chance encounter had happened two or three tis before, but Chen Feng still couldn't help but "thank" fate for its considerate arrangents when it happened again today.

Chen Feng intended to just brush past them, pretending not to know them, but the visibly agitated Tang Yue blocked his way.

"Chen Feng, you're sothing else. Another new one, huh? You really enjoy being a scumbag, swapping won like they're nothing."

Tang Yue's words didn't sit well with Chen Feng, who frowned and shot back, "Tang Yue, you'd better watch your mouth. Otherwise, you might never et a good man in your lifeti."

Tang Yue flared up instantly, loudly accusing, "Are any of you n any good? You talk about good n—there's no good man among you!"

Chen Feng frowned and looked at his silent ex-wife, Shen Lin, angrily saying, "Shen Lin, aren't you going to control her while you're out? Letting her shout like a shrew, does that make you look good as a friend?"

Hearing this, Shen Lin finally reached out to pull Tang Yue, persuading, "Alright, let's go."

"Sister Lin, are you really going to let this heartless man go? You almost broke ties with your parents for him, but now look at him living it up with one woman after another, while you're left alone. You sacrificed so much for this scumbag, and yet you got nothing in return. It's just too unfair!"

Shen Lin remained silent.

Impatient, Chen Feng went forward and brushed aside the blocking Tang Yue, heading towards the elevator doors.

"Chen Feng, a scumbag like you will et your karma sooner or later."

Tang Yue shouted angrily, a little hysterical from behind.

Chen Feng ignored her, not even turning his head. But Lin Yujiao, who was following him, couldn't stand it anymore. She stopped and turned around, angrily rebutting, "Are you brainless or were you hurt by another man? Even his ex-wife said nothing, so why are you, an outsider, barking like a mad dog?"

"You shaless woman! You're a woman too, and you have the face to scold ?"

Tang Yue was infuriated by the comnt and charged over, trying to attack Lin Yujiao, but Shen Lin held her back tightly.

"Yu Jiao, why waste your breath on this crazy woman. Co on, let's go."

Chen Feng turned around and told Lin Yujiao, who then hurriedly followed Chen Feng out of the elevator holding her things.

"You damned woman, if you have the guts, don't leave! You filthy bitch, rotten slut."

Tang Yue continued to shout angrily, but Lin Yujiao grit her teeth and ignored, quickly following Chen Feng away.

Once they were back in Chen Feng's car, Lin Yujiao let out a long breath and couldn't help asking, "Is that woman really sick or sothing? She acts like she's got rabies."

Chen Feng explained briefly, "Her husband cheated on her, and she's been like this ever since."

Lin Yujiao wasn't surprised by this, and sneered, "If I were a man, I'd cheat too on a madwoman like that."

"Let's not talk about her. I'll take you for tea, or maybe an iced coffee. Your choice."

"Iced coffee. In this heat, it's more refreshing."

"Alright, let's get you an iced coffee."

Chen Feng drove Lin Yujiao to Laiman Coffee, where they took a window seat and ordered a cup of iced coffee each, sipping enjoyably.

It was only a little past nine in the morning, and not many people were there for coffee.

After a while, Lin Yujiao quietly asked Chen Feng in her hotown dialect, "Was that woman earlier your ex-wife? She's quite pretty."

Chen Feng nodded.

"Can you tell how you two got divorced?" Lin Yujiao inquired softly, almost cautiously.

Chen Feng looked up slightly at her from under his brows and said, "Like that crazy woman said, I was a jerk."

"Did you cheat on her?" Lin Yujiao looked disbelieving. Despite how Chen Feng is now, she believed he was likely a good person before his divorce.

Seeing her expression, Chen Feng felt a bit gratified and chuckled, "Of course not. From falling in love to the divorce, I was faithful the whole ti."

"Then why did you split? She seems like she still has so lingering feelings for you, doesn't seem like she's completely moved on," Lin Yujiao asked with a curious look.
