By midday the next day, Chen Feng took Wu ngting to et his aunt, Chen Xiaoxia.
The eting place was a private dining restaurant chosen by Wu ngting, a place Chen Feng had never been to before. It was quiet with few people, allowing them to enjoy gourt food and chat more comfortably.
Chen Xiaoxia had seen Wu ngting's photos and knew so of her personal information. She knew Wu ngting was a graduate of East Sea University and was from the downtown area of Lu City. Plus, since her sister-in-law Zhao Xiaolan liked Wu ngting, she always had a good impression of her.
Upon eting in person, Wu ngting was very respectful to her and even had a bit of a flattering attitude, which made Chen Xiaoxia, as an elder, have an even better impression of her.
Seeing this, Chen Feng smiled. Of course, he knew Wu ngting's little sche. Since she went to his hotown to please his mother, Chen Feng knew about her family route.
Previously, he was sowhat pleased with this, thinking she was his ideal future wife. But now, as she had undergone quite a transformation, leaning towards being a strong woman, Chen Feng didn't like it much anymore to the extent that marrying her as his wife in the future didn't seem so ideal.
Therefore, he now sowhat opposed her idea of taking the family route.
However, he never deliberately stopped her from eting his aunt; it wasn't necessary.
Even though he might face pressure from both his mother and aunt in the future, as long as he truly didn't want to, the elders couldn't really force him to do sothing unwillingly.
He valued family ties but would not be completely manipulated by them.
He was willing to be filial to the elders, but not foolishly so.
This was his principle in life, especially after being diagnosed with a terminal illness and having money; he could even more thoroughly implent these principles.
This al, Chen Xiaoxia and Wu ngting enjoyed the food and the conversation. The two won talked endlessly from hotown als and customs in Tianzhou to the local customs and traditions of Xiu Zhou.
Chen Feng also enjoyed the food comfortingly. The dishes were light but incredibly tasty, and the chef's skills were excellent.
The al lasted for over two hours, mostly with the two won chatting, leaving Chen Feng little room to intervene.
After leaving the restaurant, Chen Xiaoxia finally inquired Wu ngting, "What ti do you get off work in the afternoon? What kind of dishes do you like? I'll go to the market in the afternoon, and then we'll properly enjoy dinner together at ho with a few more people."
Chen Xiaoxia had always assud Chen Feng and Wu ngting were living in the villa she's currently staying at, which was the Red Villa Bay, villa No. e06.
Wu ngting's face slightly stiffened, turning to Chen Feng.
Chen Feng, however, was calm and smiled faintly, saying, "She's currently living with a female colleague from her company. Besides, I've planned dinner with classmates tonight, so I won't be going back."
"You're not staying at ho again?" Chen Xiaoxia frowned at Chen Feng. She knew Chen Feng hadn't returned to villa e06 the previous night and the night before. However, with Chen Feng being such an adult, not going ho for two nights, she, as an aunt, didn't say anything.
But not going ho for three nights felt a bit like he was consciously avoiding his aunt, making her feel sowhat uneasy.
Chen Feng almost had the impulse to confess that he was currently living with Wu ngting and Sun Xiaorui at the No. 8 Villa.
But he ultimately changed his mind, mainly fearing his aunt's nagging, so he said instead, "I'm worried Fang Min isn't used to it, so I'm staying at my classmate's place these days. Just so happens my classmate lives alone now."
"Little Min already stayed at the school dormitory last night and I stayed alone at your house last night. Such a big house feels a bit scary. Tonight, you should co back and stay with , otherwise, I'd rather stay at a hotel. Plus, Little Ting, why don't you accompany too? The house feels more lively with more people. Also, I heard from Ah Feng's mom that you and Chen Feng were living together. How co you suddenly separated?"
Wu ngting was dumbfounded hearing this, looking at Chen Feng in surprise. Yesterday, Chen Feng explicitly told her that Chen Xiaoxia was unaware of their cohabitation.
Chen Feng wasn't embarrassed and replied casually, "ngting is still just my sworn sister. Staying together long-term might harm her reputation. But occasionally she does co over to stay."
Chen Xiaoxia certainly didn't believe Chen Feng's nonsense. She just thought that Chen Feng hadn't completely won over Wu ngting yet, at least hadn't coaxed her into bed, so she gave him an encouraging look, helping, saying, "Oh, I thought you two were already a couple. But even if not, staying together doesn't matter. Ah Feng's house is so spacious, having two people living seems too empty, and leaving so many rooms unoccupied isn't good, soone should live in them. Little Ting, why don't you move back to stay."
Chen Feng and Wu ngting were speechless hearing these words. After exchanging glances, Wu ngting spoke first:
"I have no objections, it's just that he's always concerned about my reputation. I think those who are clear about it don't need to clarify, but he is very insistent."
Upon hearing this, Chen Xiaoxia imdiately scolded Chen Feng sternly, "Ah Feng, this is where you're wrong. Since Little Ting is willing to stay with you for mutual care, why are you hesitating? You, a grown man, should be more straightforward and liberal than a woman. Listen to , let Little Ting move back today."
Chen Feng was once again speechless, looking at Wu ngting, only to see her give him a sweet smile, which made him feel sowhat tired.
This woman was getting tougher to deal with.
"Alright then, ngting, you move back today."
Chen Feng agreed readily, as if he was being very accommodating.
