"Thank you, Brother, I knew you couldn't bear to part with ." Wu ngting smiled sweetly at him again and affectionately took his arm.
"That's more like it; the two of you should get along well in the future. I have high hopes for you both."
Chen Xiaoxia couldn't help but show a satisfied smile on her face. In her perspective, she had undoubtedly given her nephew a godly assist, helping him win over Wu ngting faster and say goodbye to the single life.
After chatting for a while at the door, the three of them went their separate ways. Chen Feng and Wu ngting left together, while Chen Xiaoxia, not wanting to be a third wheel, decided to browse around the city instead of tagging along.
In the BMW X7, Wu ngting was driving, with Chen Feng sitting in the passenger seat.
"Don't you have anything to say to ?"
It was Wu ngting who broke the silence while driving.
Chen Feng glanced at her and said, "After you get off work, just pack your luggage briefly and then move over to E06."
"How long is your aunt going to stay here?" Wu ngting asked.
"I don't know, at most a few days, maybe she'll leave tomorrow or the next day."
"She will probably co often in the future, since her daughter attends school here. Tianzhou isn't far from here either. When she cos, we can't always move to E06, right?"
"We'll see about that later."
Upon hearing this, Wu ngting remained silent for a while before asking, "I feel like you're not very willing for to et your aunt. Why is that?"
Wu ngting wasn't naive, she quickly picked up on so clues.
Chen Feng said candidly, "My aunt is like my mom, she loves to nag, and she's also very concerned about my lifelong happiness. I don't want her pressuring to get married."
The reason was acceptable, and Wu ngting felt a bit more relieved.
"I don't think they're wrong. You're already thirty this year. Your lifelong happiness is indeed sothing that should be settled early. Not to ntion, your brother already has two children and he's only two years older than you, while you don't have any kids yet. It's no wonder your godmother is always worried about you."
Chen Feng turned to look at her. She indeed looked very beautiful, even from the side, her beauty could capture hearts. Her skin was fair and rosy, her eyelashes long, her nose high and smooth, her lips red and glossy, with an overall very pleasing appearance. But unfortunately, her increasingly assertive personality was sothing Chen Feng didn't quite like.
Of course, Wu ngting sensed Chen Feng's appreciative gaze, but she resisted turning around, her eyes focused straight ahead, making it look like she was concentrating on driving.
Until Wu ngting's ears started to turn red, did Chen Feng realize sothing was amiss. He straightened his head and refocused his gaze on the road ahead.
"If we got married, would you be willing to be a full-ti housewife?"
Chen Feng suddenly asked nonchalantly.
Wu ngting was taken aback, almost slamming the brakes, but managed to stay calm. Nonetheless, her heart was still pounding, feeling nervous as her mind raced quickly.
Chen Feng's sudden question left her at a loss for words. She wasn't at all ntally prepared, but she knew it was important and that Chen Feng might hope for her to be a full-ti housewife.
If it had been before she formally joined Fengmang Film and Television Company, she might have said yes without hesitation, but now those words were hard to utter.
She didn't want to deceive Chen Feng; she really didn't want to be a full-ti housewife now. She wanted to be an independent woman of the modern era and didn't want to be a re appendage to a man. She didn't want her life to be completely bound by her husband and children without her own dreams and personal space.
After a long while without a response from Wu ngting, Chen Feng couldn't help but silently sigh.
His question was a spur-of-the-mont thing, and he regretted it as soon as he asked, feeling a bit nervous, fearing Wu ngting's answer would be "I'm willing."
If Wu ngting had answered "I'm willing" without hesitation, she would have, undoubtedly, gained Chen Feng's complete approval.
At least for now, Wu ngting was the best candidate for a wife he had t. It wasn't that she was particularly suitable, but her overall conditions were the best. Choosing a spouse is just like choosing a partner, naturally, you pick the one with the best conditions in all aspects.
Unfortunately, Wu ngting hesitated. While Chen Feng sighed inwardly, he felt a sense of relief as well. He had grown accustod to a free and unrestrained life and wasn't keen on being tied down by marriage and family, even less by a woman.
Now, it was good. If Chen Feng had wanted to call off the agreent before, he might have felt a bit guilty about it, but now he didn't.
Initially, Wu ngting probably really liked him, just for him as a person, but as his wealth beca apparent, Chen Feng felt her feelings weren't as pure as at the start. At least now she was very committed to her role as the CFO of Fengmang Film and Television Company. She also ventured into the film production industry, wanting to beco a renowned producer with a strong career drive.
Rich n are always like this, hoping that every woman who sticks to them does so not for their money, but purely for who they are.
But is that really possible?
Maybe there are one or two who are richer than you, or genuinely like you not because of your money, but can the two really be happy together? Not necessarily.
"I don't want to lie to you, I can't say I'm a hundred percent willing to be a full-ti housewife right now. After all, we're not even a couple yet, let alone husband and wife. But once we get married and have kids, I'm sure I'll prioritize our family, and by then I might be willing to be a full-ti housewife."
Wu ngting's response seed reasonable, but Chen Feng was still disappointed because what she said was essentially nothing. And one thing is for sure, at least before she has children, she is not willing to be a full-ti housewife.
In his heart, Chen Feng hoped that after they beca a couple, Wu ngting would stay at ho with him, focusing solely on managing their daily life. And in the future, once they had a family, it goes without saying that she would devote herself entirely to managing their ho.
Inside, Chen Feng certainly had a tendency towards chauvinism, not wanting his woman to expose herself outside, let alone beco a powerful woman making waves in the business world.
He was still quite conservative and liked won who were traditional and ho-oriented.
"I understand."
Chen Feng responded lightly, saying nothing more.
Wu ngting pursed her red lips, knowing her answer hadn't satisfied Chen Feng, but she really didn't want to lie to him, nor could she deceive him.
She really hadn't considered being a full-ti housewife yet.
Sighing silently in her heart, Wu ngting couldn't imdiately think of a way to redy this.
A few more minutes of driving brought them to the entrance of Red Villa Bay, and Chen Feng asked her to park, choosing to walk back himself as she had to go to work.
Wu ngting didn't refuse, watching him walk into the neighborhood before reversing and steering away.
Chen Feng continued walking leisurely towards No. 8 Villa, and a red Toyota drove up from the opposite direction, stopping right in front of him as a head poked out from the window.
"Hi, Chen Feng, what a coincidence! Fancy bumping into you here. Are you taking a walk?"
Speaking was Han Shipei, whom he hadn't seen for a while. She wore sunglasses, long straight hair flowing, her face ticulously made up, looking like a social dia influencer.
Chen Feng didn't have much fondness for the woman who used to frequently bother him, but since he knew her, he casually replied, "Yes, just taking a walk."
Though the day was overcast, it was still around twenty-eight or twenty-nine degrees, and nobody would genuinely be out walking at noon.
Han Shipei clearly didn't believe him, but chose not to question it, laughing and saying, "Since you're walking, you must have so ti. How about joining for a cold drink? It's hot out, and I know a great place that serves delicious cold drinks."
Saying this, she stuck out her pink tongue, licking her lips in a provocative, seductive gesture towards Chen Feng.
"No ti, I need to go ho and shower, I'm all sweaty."
Chen Feng waved his hand and continued walking forward.
But Han Shipei quickly reversed her car, managing to face him again.
"Brother Feng, don't be so cold and heartless. We're going to be neighbors in the future, we'll et all the ti."
"Neighbors?" Chen Feng couldn't help but stop and frown, asking, "You've moved into Hong Xiaodan's house?"
Han Shipei smiled slightly, nodding, "Yes. Little Dan went back to her hotown, and her place here was vacant, so she asked to look after it, and I've moved in."
Chen Feng made a sound of acknowledgnt and continued walking forward.
Han Shipei reversed again, speaking to Chen Feng as she did, "Brother Feng, do you know why Little Dan suddenly went back to her hotown?"
Chen Feng ignored her.
But Han Shipei continued reversing, speaking to him, "She went back mostly because of you."
Chen Feng frowned upon hearing this, stopping again and speaking irritably, "I'm not interested in her affairs, and you should stop harassing like a delinquent. Won should behave like won."
