He lifted his right hand, a wave of dizziness hit him, and the photo slipped from his grasp and fell to the ground. He instinctively lunged to catch it, but his extrely exhausted body could no longer hold out, and he pitched forward towards the ground.
The figure before him didn’t run away like the others but quickly rushed forward and extended two large hands to support his falling body.
Feeling his son’s tall and heavy body, Leng Lin used his arms to straighten him up, embracing his son who had grown taller than himself and whom he hadn’t hugged in many years. His eyes filled with depth and concern, he comforted him by patting Leng Zimo’s back as he raised his voice.
"Xiao Liu, co give a hand!"
"Coming!"
The tall driver hurried over from not too far away. With Leng Lin’s assistance, he hoisted Leng Zimo onto his shoulder and walked toward the nearby car.
Together, they settled Leng Zimo in the back seat. Then, driver Xiao Liu asked softly, "To the hospital?"
Leng Lin glanced at his son beside him, "Ho."
As Xiao Liu started the car, Leng Lin made two calls on his phone, one to Shen Yizhou, the other to Leng Zirui.
When the two of them arrived back at the Leng Family Mansion, Shen Yizhou and Leng Zirui had already co out to et them. Together, they carried Leng Zimo up to the bedroom and settled him on his own bed. Then, Shen Yizhou efficiently took out the dical kit he had brought and started an IV for him.
"Have you sent your people out?"
Leng Lin asked from the side.
"Don’t worry, they’re all out there," replied Leng Zirui, glancing sideways at his father. "You know, next ti you could call earlier. What can those good-for-nothings accomplish, anyway?"
"Zirui, spare us a few words!" Shen Yizhou withdrew the hand he had been using to check on Leng Zimo. "Uncle Leng, don’t worry, Zimo’s not in any serious trouble. It’s just exhaustion caused by standing in the rain and dehydration. Once he’s rehydrated and his fever goes down, he’ll be fine."
