There were only three Defensive Magical Items on the list.
One was a gray robe enchanted with a blade-warding property. It was also imbued with the One-Ring Spell ’Mage Armor’, which would automatically activate to block damage the mont the wearer was attacked.
A set of Fine Steel Armor enchanted with formless and weak magic-resistance properties.
Armor with the formless property could freely transform into any type of clothing, but its other attributes (including hardness and weight) would remain the sa. Only a spell like ’True Sight’ could reveal the armor’s true form.
And as its na suggested, weak magic resistance provided a small reduction in damage taken from spells.
The last item was a ring enchanted with a protective property, additionally imbued with the One-Ring Spell Fog Concealnt Technique, which could summon a patch of mist centered on the user.
Of the three items, Pei Ze first ruled out the ring.
Its protective property conflicted with his Protective Ring. Protective Force Fields of the sa type couldn’t be stacked.
Besides, the Fog Concealnt Technique was mostly used for escaping and offered no defensive benefit.
After a mont of thought, Pei Ze chose the enchanted heavy armor from the remaining two items.
While the Mage Armor spell imbued in the gray robe was good, he would soon be able to learn Mage Armor himself. There was no need to buy a redundant Magic Item.
The enchanted heavy armor, on the other hand, could block sharp weapons and had magic resistance, allowing it to defend against so spells that even Mage Armor couldn’t block.
As for the weight of the heavy armor, it was trivial for Pei Ze, whose constitution was comparable to a Grand Knight’s.
"I’ll take this Magic Heavy Armor," Pei Ze said. "Also, I want to purchase so spell models."
Pei Ze handed over a prepared piece of paper listing the spell models he wanted to buy.
There were seven in total: Mage Armor, Frightening Skill, Magic Missile, Weakness Beam, Silent Illusion, Fireball Technique, and Jumping Skill.
The number of One-Ring Spells was far greater than the number of Zero-Circle Magic spells.
The Logistics Departnt alone sold nearly a hundred.
These seven spells were carefully selected by Pei Ze, covering various aspects such as defense, offense, crowd control, and mobility.
Once he mastered them all, his combat prowess would surely take a quantum leap.
The seven One-Ring Spell models cost him a total of seven hundred contribution points.
After receiving the items, Pei Ze asked about the Realm of Truth.
"The next ti the Realm of Truth opens is on December 30th. Just report to the Experintal District’s General Affairs Departnt when the ti cos," the skinny apprentice replied.
"Thank you."
Pei Ze turned and left the Logistics Departnt.
...
「Back at the apartnt.」
As soon as he entered the living room, Pei Ze saw Xiaoyi fast asleep on the sofa.
Without a word, he woke the little one up and took out a cup, telling it to produce Ten Thousand Flowers Honey.
Money was tight right now, and as a mber of the household, the little one naturally had to contribute its share.
Inspired by Pei Ze’s call to duty, Xiaoyi was deeply moved and went to work with tears in its eyes.
Pei Ze took out the Magic Heavy Armor, transford it into the shape of a gray robe, and then swapped it with the apprentice robe he was wearing.
From its appearance alone, it was just an ordinary robe. Even its texture felt no different from a normal robe.
No one would ever guess that it was actually a powerful piece of armor with the defense of Fine Steel Armor and additional magic resistance.
’Protective Ring, Magic Heavy Armor, Wuyu’s transformative defense, and Mage Armor... that should be about enough.’
Pei Ze nodded in satisfaction. He finally felt a sense of security.
He then took out the spell model book for Mage Armor.
"Omniscience, analyze the Mage Armor spell model."
[Task created: Analyze Mage Armor spell model. Estimated ti: 12 days]
Pei Ze nodded to himself. ’Not bad. It’s not too long. I can instantly complete the analysis by using Spiritual Power to accelerate it once.’
However, he didn’t plan to do that.
His top priority was to finish creating the new ditation Technique as soon as possible so he could begin constructing new Will Runes.
Therefore, all his Spiritual Power had to be dedicated to this task for now. Everything else would have to wait.
"Omniscience, check my current status."
[Spirit: 51.63]
[Constitution: 25.32]
[Task 1: Create new ditation Technique. Estimated ti: 221 days, 21 hours, 59 minutes]
[Task 2: Analyze silent casting technique. Estimated ti: 174 days]
[Task 3: Analyze Mage Armor spell model. Estimated ti: 12 days]
’In about 10 more days, I should be able to complete the new ditation Technique.’
Pei Ze made a quick calculation and then looked at his Spirit attribute.
For a Third-level Wizard Apprentice to advance to an Official Wizard, they had to condense a Spirit Crystal.
And there were two prerequisites for condensing a Spirit Crystal.
First, one must construct the maximum number of Will Runes allowed by their current ditation Technique.
Second, one’s Spiritual Power must be at least five tis the number of Will Runes.
In other words, if he wanted to advance to an Official Wizard using his new ditation Technique, he would have to construct 32 Will Runes and raise his Spirit attribute to at least 160 points!
This was undoubtedly an extrely difficult goal.
But once achieved, his power after becoming an Official Wizard would far surpass that of an ordinary Wizard.
’The Wizard Apprentice stage is for laying a foundation. The stronger the foundation, the further one can go in the future.’
A glint in his eyes, Pei Ze dumped all his Spiritual Power into accelerating the task, then began to ditate to recover it.
After his breakthrough, the amount of Spiritual Power he gained from daily ditation had also increased accordingly, reaching about 0.4 points.
Pei Ze didn’t stop ditating until evening. He then took out the mory Crystal Ball gifted by Mo Weng to examine it closely.
Recorded in the Crystal Ball was an Advanced ditation Technique called the ’Moon Ring ditation Technique’.
To Pei Ze’s surprise, this ditation Technique allowed for the construction of 24 Will Runes.
’Teacher’s gift is far too generous.’
Pei Ze had originally thought an Advanced ditation Technique with 18 Will Runes would be good enough.
It seed Mo Weng valued him as a new disciple even more than he had anticipated.
’A pity I have no use for it.’
Pei Ze shook his head. After using the Eye of Omniscience to record the Moon Ring ditation Technique, he erased the information from the Crystal Ball and put it away.
Although he couldn’t use the Moon Ring ditation Technique, once his new ditation Technique was created, it would serve as a good cover story. From that perspective, it was quite useful.
’And it can also speed up the creation process of my new ditation Technique.’
Pei Ze glanced at his task list. As the Moon Ring ditation Technique was recorded, the analysis ti needed for his new ditation Technique was instantly reduced by more than fifty days.
That was an unexpected bonus.
With a soft chuckle, Pei Ze then took out the "Compendium of First-Order Potion Recipes" and began scanning through it, ten lines at a glance.
In less than five minutes, the thick book was completely ’scanned’ by the Eye of Omniscience, and all its knowledge was etched into his mind.
The "Compendium of First-Order Potion Recipes" contained a total of fifty-seven first-order potions.
Of course, the actual number of first-order potions was certainly far greater than this.
It was just that many other recipes were the private formulas of certain Wizards or families and wouldn’t appear in books.
Still, fifty-seven was more than enough.
Pei Ze wasn’t a collector. He had no intention of gathering every single first-order potion recipe; he only needed to master a few for his own use and to sell.
For example, the Dragon Blood Potion, the Blood Boiling Potion, and the Activation Potion.
The Dragon Blood Potion had the effect of permanently strengthening one’s constitution and could also increase the efficiency of breathing technique cultivation, with a duration of about three to five days.
Although its na contained the word "dragon blood," none of the ingredients used to brew the potion had anything to do with dragons.
After all, the Dragon Race, even the lesser dragons, were genuine Magical Creatures.
Magical Creatures were not sothing that re beasts could compare to.
The creatures Pei Ze had encountered on the island were, at best, just extraordinarily gifted wild animals.
Only creatures that had awakened their Innate Magic could be called Magical Creatures.
Even Wizards had to be cautious when encountering many Magical Creatures.
’If I use the Dragon Blood Potion to supplent my training in the Cyan Mist Breathing Technique, I should be able to break through to the Grand Knight level very quickly.’
’And once I’ve taken it to the point of maximum tolerance, I can sell the rest of the potions.’
Pei Ze quickly ford a plan.
"Omniscience, analyze the Dragon Blood Potion recipe."
[Task created: Analyze Dragon Blood Potion recipe. Estimated ti: 3 days]
"Pause analysis of the silent casting technique. Prioritize analysis of the Dragon Blood Potion recipe."
Pei Ze issued the command, then looked at the other two potions.
The Activation Potion’s effect was to temporarily boost one’s ntal acuity, which helped increase spellcasting success rates and reduce casting costs. It was quite popular among Wizard Apprentices.
The Blood Boiling Potion, on the other hand, temporarily enhanced strength and agility while significantly reducing the sensation of pain, making it very suitable for Knights.
However, Pei Ze was in no hurry to analyze these two potions, planning to brew them later when he had more leeway.
After all, he had quite a few things that needed analyzing right now.
’The task list still isn’t big enough.’
