Iris:
I was exhausted from waiting. My eyes were fixed on the door. He had promised that he would co back, and then he did.
The mont he stood in front of , I burst into tears and threw my arms around him. For the first few minutes, I could only cry. He kept asking what was wrong and what had happened, but I could not tell him.
When I finally stopped crying, Kash turned around and called out to his warriors.
"Where is the comforter and the bed?" he demanded loudly.
His voice made tighten my grip on his hand. I shook my head.
"There is no need for it. I need to play the part of a prisoner," I mumbled, trying to remind him of the ga we had started.
That day, when I first saw Lara and Markus talking in the corridor, I recorded their conversation. The rest of what they said was about a plan they had prepared.
In that plan, they openly admitted that they would fra . I went to Kash and told him everything. I told him there was no need to say anything to anyone yet.
I still rember how angry he was that night. He wanted to throw Markus and Lara out of the house, but that would not have helped.
Lady Vivian would never have believed us. Lara could have told her any lie, and she would still have taken her side.
It was necessary for Lara to show her true face to everyone. They needed to realize that the person they had been supporting was the wrong one and that the torture I endured for so long was undeserved.
So we decided to begin with Luca’s matter and create a scene around it. We acted as if we were fighting because of Luca.
Then I started helping Markus. Kash and I only spoke to each other in front of others, so they would overhear us and start believing that we were truly at odds.
Many tis, we noticed people listening to our conversations.
Every incident that happened went according to Kash’s and my plan. Every ti Kash saw Markus and together, we knew it would happen.
I knew that Lara and Markus wanted exactly that, so each ti I was ready for soone to catch us.
We deliberately avoided communicating with each other. We built everything so naturally because I wanted everyone to see how dangerous Lara truly was.
Once I was off her list, she would shift her target to others. Then they would realize what kind of snake they had been protecting.
It was very difficult for to control myself from running into Kash’s arms any mont. But slowly, my emotions started becoming real.
Although it was a ga for us, my hormones were disturbed. I needed comfort and love.
So when they brought into that room and left there, I suddenly felt deeply miserable. It began to feel as if everything was truly happening to .
"That is why I did not want you to co here. There were other ways for us to expose Lara," Kash whispered as he lifted into his arms.
He carried outside and sat down with in the backyard. I noticed that they had lit up the place with lanterns, arranged beautiful couches, and set a table full of food.
He had prepared a beautiful place. He had turned that dry land into sothing elegant and lively.
This ti, Kash did not put down. He kept seated in his lap while he remained sitting. I felt shy because many warriors were watching us.
After noticing that, Kash dismissed them with a simple hand gesture. They all left.
He pulled into a tight hug.
"I felt like ripping my hands off whenever I grabbed you," he whispered softly, pulling even closer until his lips brushed against my cheek.
"When you arrived and saw with Markus, I knew what he was trying to do, and I was only going along with it. I never thought he would pull onto the bed."
The mont I said that, I felt his body stiffen. I paused, turned toward him, and touched his cheek gently.
"But I was so scared. I did not want to lose you. When I ca here, I thought I would never see you again."
Once again, I broke down. He finally set down and made sit beside him on the couch.
"What is going on? Why are you so anxious? Did sothing else happen?" he turned to , asking sternly.
"Tell ," he insisted, holding my hand.
I sniffled and rubbed my hands together nervously, unsure whether I should tell him.
"If this place is scaring you, do not worry about it. You do not really think I am going to let you stay here, do you? You will be sent to my lodge. There is a mansion there. You will have everything you want," he mumbled.
"I wish I could bring my children, our children, to you, but I am afraid they might let sothing slip. Trust , they are well taken care of." He smiled.
"Lara will soon be out of the mansion along with Markus. I promise you, I will give them lashes myself for planning against the Alpha King and his Luna Queen."
He continued explaining his plans for the future.
Little did he know there was more to the story. Still, it comforted to know he did not intend to leave in this dark house surrounded by black walls.
"What if soone cos here and finds the prison empty?" I asked, gently rubbing my thumb over the back of his hand.
"They are not allowed to co here without speaking to first. Even if they do, the door will remain locked. I will arrive before it is opened, so do not worry. I am not going to leave you here," he assured .
Then he picked up a few fries and brought them to my lips. I took a bite.
As I sat there, breathing softly, I began wondering how to tell him the good news.
