Aria’s POV

Nathan’s head snapped toward Jonathan, hostility rolling off him in waves. His alpha aura slamd outward, thick and suffocating. “Do you have a say in this?”

The contrast was jarring. With , his fury was restrained, coiled tight. With Jonathan, it was sharp and openly aggressive. Two alpha males sizing each other up, on the brink of transforming into their wolves.

My patience finally shattered.

I ripped my gaze back to Nathan, my own power slipping through the cracks. “What do you want?” I demanded, my wolf baring her fangs.

His grip didn’t loosen. His stare softened just a fraction—but it was dangerous and possessive.

“Co ho with .”

Nathan stared straight into my eyes, and my wolf bristled under his gaze.

I felt it imdiately, the tension in him, the restless alpha energy rolling off his body in uneven waves. His jaw clenched hard, sharp lines carving his handso face as frustration darkened his expression. It was the look he always wore when things slipped beyond his control.

“Who suits you better , your husband and mate or him?” he demanded.

My wolf scoffed before I could stop her.

I shrugged, deliberately careless, “ I think you are asking the wrong person Nathan. That question is ant for you and your anawer is her” I pointed at Sophia.

The effect was instant.

Nathan’s face darkened, his aura spiking so sharply it felt like the air itself recoiled. If emotions had color, his would have turned a violent, bruised blue. I could almost hear his wolf snapping inside him, outraged and possessive.

Sophia stiffened. Her expression flickered with a mix of pleasure and panic but she forced it down quickly, her eyes darting to Nathan as she waited for his reaction. He didn’t look at her for long.

Instead, he let out a short, bitter laugh. “Aria,” he said, his voice tight, “you know I only see her as a colleague.”

My wolf snarled softly.

Sophia’s face drained of color, pale as snow under moonlight. She looked fragile suddenly, but only Jessica and seed to notice. Everyone else was too focused on the tension crackling between Nathan and .

Nathan studied my face, his gaze searching and probing. Then sothing shifted in his eyes, as if realization struck him like lightning. His grip tightened around my hand, not painful, but desperate.

“Are you...” His voice dropped, hopeful in a way that made my chest ache. “Are you jealous?”

His eyes lit up, bright and dangerous, as though the world had finally aligned itself again. He leaned closer, his scent wrapping around .

“Co ho with ,” he said softly. “I’ll keep my distance from Sophia.”

For a heartbeat, my wolf faltered.

Then the madness of it all hit .

Had the moon driven him insane? Or was it ?

I stared at him, disbelief flooding my eyes, and shoved him away. His hand fell from mine.

“Colleagues don’t call each other by their first nas. Especially if they are boss and employee. She calls you ‘Nathan’ every ti,” I said coldly, my voice sharper than claws. “And your affairs are none of my business.”

His face fell.

“Even if we’re not getting divorced right away,” I continued, steady despite the ache in my chest, “we should go our separate ways. Don’t disturb my life, and I won’t disturb yours.”

I will force his hand to sign the divorce papers and once that is done, I will reject him as my mate.

Nathan’s tall fra trembled slightly. Shock etched itself across his face, as if he’d just been struck sowhere vital.

He tried to step forward.

Jonathan moved before he could.

They stood face-to-face, equal in height, their gazes colliding. One radiated calm strength, steady as a pine rooted into a cliffside. The other simred darkly, like a forest pool under moonlight. Their alpha aura were deep, cold, and dangerous.

Jonathan extended an arm politely, though his presence was unmistakably protective. “Alpha Nathan,” he said mildly, “We shouldn’t be harsh on others while being lenient with ourselves.”

His smile was gentle but Its edge was not.

I stood behind him, unmistakably on the opposite side now—no longer in front of Nathan, no longer within his reach.

Suddenly, Sophia clung to Nathan’s arm, gripping him possessively as she shouted at . “Nathan and I are innocent! Don’t slander us!”

I said nothing.

I didn’t need to.

My eyes drifted to her hands wrapped around his arm, to the way her fingers pressed too tightly, too familiarly. Her words claid innocence, but her body told another story, one eager for misunderstanding and hungry for permission.

I understood perfectly.

And in that mont, clarity settled over like moonlight breaking through clouds.

A year ago, I had been foolish, letting tiny cracks shatter , letting doubts drown in tears and despair. Now, my wolf stood tall inside , proud and awake.

I lifted my chin.

And I walked away, with Jonathan and Williams following protectively.
