Brand stood up and walked to Funiya, placing his hand on the young girl’s small shoulder and gently patting it. He said warmly, “Funiya is a sensible child.” He raised his head and looked at the tall Druid Elder. “I treat Funiya as my own sister, and therefore, I respect her wish to entrust her to you. I don’t particularly care whether she becos one of the Forest People (another na for Druids in Vorn). However, I demand that you ensure her safety,” he paused, his tone growing more serious. “Can you promise that?”

Andrew nodded, “You don’t need to say that, Lord.”

“Thank you, Brother Brand,” Funiya clutched the hem of her dress with both hands and replied obediently, looking up.

Brand smiled faintly and touched her forehead. The girl’s seriousness and sensibility were naturally endearing wherever she went. However, Brand wasn’t particularly concerned about what she had said about forming an alliance with the Druids. He could see that Andrew hadn’t been willing at first, but since they had the connection through Valhalla, the alliance was inevitable.

He turned back and said to the noble girl, “Antitina, take Funiya to prepare the things she needs for the journey.”

“Huh?” The noble daughter looked at Andrew, as if just snapping out of her thoughts. She looked at Brand in confusion, “?”

“Of course,” Brand replied, “Funiya is still a child, but she’s a girl after all. Naturally, only you girls know what to pack. Otherwise, we’d have to ask Romantic to handle it—” The young man smiled and shifted his tone, “But do you trust her to prepare everything for Funiya?”

Antitina thought about Miss rchant’s carefree manner. She feared that if asked to prepare Funiya’s luggage, she would end up filling the girl’s small backpack with her favorite glass beads—which, while every single one was painstakingly acquired from rchants in Buqi, would be quite impractical. She couldn’t help but sigh, “But… what about Qian?”

“She’s not as ticulous as you,” Brand replied.

Antitina gave him a glance, feeling inexplicably happy. She noticed Brand’s gaze, realizing he might have other matters to tend to. She thought for a mont and straightforwardly asked, “Is there anything else, Lord?”

“Notify Crenxia and have them co to see ,” Brand replied.

Antitina nodded and walked over to hold Funiya’s small hand, leading the girl, who looked back with every step, to the door and closed it behind them. Once they left, only Andrew and his two associates, Brand, and the Elf Girl who stood beside the young man with her head bowed while holding a ledger, remained in the room.

“Is there anything else, Lord?” Andrew, who viewed the ambitious young man with suspicion, finally asked. Despite his rejection of worldly affairs, the shrewd Druid Elder knew that sending Funiya away wasn’t just about preparing her luggage. “We’re Druids; our words are straightforward. Speak freely, Lord.”

“I’m occupied, so I won’t see you off on your journey,” Brand replied. “I have so things to say. I know you regard the alliance between us as rather indifferent—”

“Lord.” Red, standing behind Andrew, frowned and interrupted. But he quickly saw Brand motioning him to stop.

“Let finish,” Brand said. “I understand the Druids’ view toward the Black Forest, including the agreent with Nia. It’s your tradition, but I have sothing to say—chaos is very powerful.”

“Are you a mber of the Unity of All Things? The Silver Sky Snake? Shepherd Tree Man, or the Sheep-headed Sect?” Andrew’s eyes turned cold.

“I thought you would ntion the Shepherd Tree Man first.”

The Druid Elder snorted coldly.

“None of those,” Brand shook his head. “Those you ntioned are precisely my enemies.”

“But the enemy of an enemy is not necessarily a friend.”

“Indeed,” the young lord replied almost without hesitation, “But we both know this epoch is nearing its end, and the peak of the Magic Moon is coming— The last Magic Tide ended the chaos of the ancient tis; no one knows what will happen this ti. In such circumstances, your attempts to curb the growth of the Black Forest are nothing but wishful thinking.”
