Capítulo 511: Act 5 Letter (5) (1 update, double request for next month’s ticket)_2

“So what?”

“The Black Forest, I know it much better than you all.”

Andrew crossed his arms, looking at the young man with extre suspicion. They had dealt with the Black Forest all their lives, and now a stranger was telling them he knew the forest better than they did. That feeling was even more absurd than trying to teach an expert their own trade, it was simply unfounded arrogance.

Brand rely smiled, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe . Think back, before the Age of Chaos, the area of Vorn was less than a quarter of what it is today. Who was it that opened such vast territories, turning the thorn-ridden Black Forest into today’s land of civilization?”

Andrew felt a bit proud, “It was the Druids.”

Brand still shook his head. “To be precise, it was the ancient Druids of the World Ring. After the Sky Tower fell, the Dark Dragon scattered the Druids into the wilderness, causing the World Ring to split and forming today’s Shepherd Tree n and the orthodox Druid Sect.” He paused, “I don’t need to tell you this, right?”

“The Lord indeed is knowledgeable.”

“No, it’s just that in this aspect we share common ground,” Brand deliberately sighed, “Since the Sky Tower fell, a rift has ford between the ancient and modern magic systems. Druids and Wizards both seek the ancient heritage, but it so happens that I know a mber of the Dragon Clan and have so understanding of Druid doctrines.”

“You know ancient magic?” Andrew’s eyes flashed sharply. He knew that the only known Golden Remnants in this world were the Dragon Clan. The Dragon Clan was also the only existence today that understood ancient String Magic. Although Druid spells were mysterious Rune Magic, mysterious knowledge was often interconnected. Moreover, since Brand said it, there must be a hidden aning in his words.

He would be a real fool if he didn’t understand now.

“Auis eaam rs,” Brand pronounced the spell almost word for word. “Have you heard of the Life Seed?” He looked up and asked, “You should understand what I an by this.”

The faces of the three Druids changed instantly. The Life Seed Brand ntioned was the seed of the Elf tree. The Shepherd Tree n often transford this into the Golden Magic Tree, but the Life Sacred Tree was the only known type that could effectively transform the Black Forest. However, Life Seeds were extrely rare and besides artificial cultivation, they could only be found in ancient relics.

That was, after all, ancient heritage.

They all understood that the phrase Brand recited was a transformation spell. The core rune ‘Eaam’ represented the earth, possibly part of the ancient Druid Spells known as ‘Natural Language’, a legend that could completely purify a Black Forest and rescue it from magical corrosion. However, such a spell had not existed in this world for over a thousand years, were it not for a few records in ancient books, they would most likely only sense a resemblance of the spell to Druid magic.

Andrew looked at Brand with a complicated expression, “Natural Language?”

Brand nodded.

“Lord, you know this spell? Are you a Druid?”

Brand shook his head. In fact, it wasn’t unfamiliar to him because the incantation was written on an ancient stone tablet, and by the late stages of the ga, almost every player knew a bit about it. However, knowing it was one thing, using it was another because only the ancient stone tablet could support this spell. The subsequent Wizard War broke out for this very reason. Simply put, it was a gimmick; it looked good, but in reality, it was of no practical value.

But it was enough to catch the attention of these Druids.

Sure enough, Andrew frowned, “What does that an?”

“Simply put, I am as interested in the Black Forest as you are,” Brand replied, “However, the stronger the Order, the stronger the resistance from Chaos. Hence, fighting alone is not the best way to solve problems.” As he spoke, he picked up a candle from the table, “Druids usually solve problems from the perspective of the world’s Natural Laws, but the Forest Goddess has already pointed out another path for you.”

“What path?” Andrew asked.

Brand carefully used scissors to trim the split end of the candlewick and then lit it. He looked up, “That is to borrow human strength,” he replied, “Since the Chaos Year, besides the limited traditional model of ‘Church—Pioneer Knight’, civilization has seldom expanded the range of Guardian Lands. However, due to the scarcity of territories and the relentless encroachnt of magical power, internal wars have beco increasingly frequent within civilization—”

He stopped and changed his tone, “However, I plan to develop a new model to end all this. Even if it’s just an attempt,” the young lord smiled slightly, “But I am full of confidence. I just don’t know if you would be interested.”

Andrew lowered his head, pondering for a mont, “Lord, you might as well speak outright.”

“What I an is,” Brand said, picking up the envelope on the table, and slightly tilting the candle to let the hot wax drip onto the envelope, “to transform Erune into a vibrant, constantly expanding country—”

The three Druids inhaled sharply at the sa ti. Andrew had anticipated Brand’s ambition but did not expect such magnitude. His goal was far beyond being a re duke; he intended to change this ancient kingdom. They could even hear in his tone that his ambition was far more than that.

An expansionist Erune.

This young man wanted to build an empire with his own hands.

Grand ambitions might be a good thing to so, but it caused deep unease in Andrew. He glanced at Brand cautiously, “Expansion brings bloodshed and war, which contradicts our beliefs,” he said in a low voice, avoiding offending the other party, “Therefore, Lord, if you intend to lure us in with this, you are mistaken.”

“War is inevitable,” Brand calmly set the candle down and removed the Wind Queen’s Ring. “However, for , war is a ans of self-protection because you might have misunderstood the aning of this expansion—”

“Wait, you an?” Andrew interrupted him with disbelief.

Brand nodded seriously, “What I an by expansion is targeting the wilderness.” He pressed the Wind Queen’s Ring into the wax, then lifted it up, “Using the strength of the entire country to develop new territories in the wilderness.”
